ANy of you still there?? We leave tomorrow (1st cruise ever--anywhere...) Do we take Dramamine before we board the boat?? Do people get seasick?
ANy tips for adjusting to the time change--7 hours different for us.

Just cam in last night from GORGEOUS camping on the north shore coast of Lake Superior with our 3 kids (who we're leaving behind) Was fun but I have my work cut out for me today!. Bought some MN things to "share" with new friends

ANy last minute tips? We just signed up for the Disney transfer....wanted to make sure everything went smooth on that first day....

Also--still wondering how people are getting to Rome on the train by 9:30???

I am still here but maybe not much help as I havnt a clue what dramamime is I am presuming it is sickness tablets. So I can only tell you my expereience
We have been cruising or 10 years This will be our first with DCL. I have never had to take sickness pills although I recall my first cruise. I was sure before hand that I would be sea sick, so I know where you are coming from. The worst I found on my first cruise is when I was on shore, my legs kept giving way and the paths seemed to be moving lol I felt the motion o the ship has i was walking lol. My experience is it is like being in a hotel most of the time you dont feel has though you are moving you soon get used to it. You will be onboard for several hours before the ship sets sail so I dont think you will need to take them before getting on the ship, unless the instructions say take blah blah hrs before. The ships I have previously been on have sickness pills at customer service desk (free of charge) if you are caught short. Now if dramamine isnt sickness pills lol just ignore me. Sorry I cant be of more help maybe someone that is already in Barcelona may pop on fingers crossed for you. Have a safe and enjoyable flight tommorow see you on the ship

Sorry I've missed all of the build up and excitement. We fly Newcastle UK to Barcelona tomorrow. Weather looks good for the whole trip, maybe windy in Malta and VERY hot in Tunisia. Can't wait!

I've been on 4 cruises and the only one I had to take motion sickness meds for was the one where we had to avoid a hurricane off the coast of Mexico. The sea was very rough, they advised us to stay in our cabins or seated and crew members were even getting sick. My point is just that it usually takes a big event to cause enough motion to be felt on these big ships. They have control devices to help stabilize and especially since we'll be in a closed body of water (not the open sea), you'll probably be okay, but we packed Dramamine just in case.

I don't know about Rome- our tickets are for later in the day... I didn't want to have to rush and cut things close with 2 little ones.

I take meclezine (sp). I will take if before we take off and every day we are gone. Better safe than sorry. I am very prone to motion sickness. We fly out Tuesday too out of Green Bay. See you soon.

we never get sick. haven't needed any medication at all. But I do know others who have had to use Bonine and the wrist thingies.

Arrived in Barcelona this afternoon. Love the city and the weather is great. Can't wait for Wednesday to get here so we can board the boat.

I am still here. Leave tomorrow in the morning and I have already checked in for my flight! There is a tropical storm in the Gulf and it has been absolutely pouring down rain today in Houston with more expected tomorrow. I just hope it doesnt slow me down much tomorrow.

I get motion sick very easily. What helps me when I cruise is 1 dramamine in the morning. I love this stuff as it has changed my air travel life. Just started to take it for cruising. There is a recent post on the main page that discusses sea sickness.

First post from the ship. A great time so far. DD is afraid of all the characters but she met Aurora today and was so happy. I am here doing a final term paper because I couldn't get it finished in Barcelona. Thank God for At Sea internet.

Thank you Colorado Disney freaks for a cool FE gift. i think we will do ours tomorrow at sea. THIS CRUISE IS AWESOME SO FAR!!!!!!

We saw Johanna (Renegade7) and Kim (OCDforWDW) at the farewell skit in Rockin' Bar D on the last night and they were really happy that they got to stay on the ship, we were really pissed that it wasn't us...
