Hello,

I have been trying to book an AKV value room at the 11month window for the past few weeks, and each time I get the dreaded no availability message.

I search the dates at 7:59am, click close and refresh at 7:59:50 and then continue at 8:00:00. This works every time on a savannah view room but never value. Are there people out there with using robots to do it for them?! I can’t be any faster clicking at 8 but maybe I can? lol

Hoping anybody could share their tips and tricks if you have managed to get these hard to get rooms?

I am using macbook with safari and iPhone with google app.

People are walking the rooms. It's hard to beat that without walking as well.

Those rooms book like that year round right at 11 months....regardless of whether walking is involved. They are simply that popular....

Don't do this.

Hit search at 8am. When you hit search before 8am, the system thinks it's still yesterday.

That's not this. Walking doesn't explain a room that's available at 7:58 and gone at 8:00, a walked room would already show as unavailable that whole time.

There are only 8 value studios at animal kingdom and it's possible that the one you're seeing available at 7:59 is the only one left. While I appreciate that you feel there is nothing you can do to be any quicker, there are probably 1000 other owners thinking exactly the same thing at the same time! The vast majority are always going to be disappointed.

What time clock do you use? I find time.gov is most reliable, and I've been successful SOME times using this as my count down. They are very challenging rooms to get, especially the studios (and subsequently 2 BR's since all the value 2 BR's are lock offs). You'll probably have better luck getting a 1 BR if you don't mind springing for that.

Walking certainly does not help, but surely walkers

time.gov but maybe I need a time machine

But my method worked on a savannah view and standard studio, so I don’t understand why it doesn’t on the value. I guess as people have said, I need to distract the other 1000 people online lol

Were those rooms still available to book before 8 am for what would have been the 11 month yesterday?

If those views weee not sold out for check in on May 3rd, then the system didnt See your search as early.

It's about numbers.

There are 57 Savannah Studios at Jambo (ded+LO). There are another 108 over at Kidani.

There are 108 total Standard studios between Jambo and Kidani.

There are 8 dedicated Value Studios, and 10 more that are part of 2BR LO.

So even if you see Value availability at 7:59AM, it is likely to be for 1 unit due to prior bookings and check-out dates. So you in competition with a lot of people for one, maybe two or three, units open for check-in on that date.

Meanwhile, there are are lot more Standard and Savannah and there's not that level of competition. Enough to go round for everyone on at 8:01AM.

Yes showing as available to book. Am I doing it the right way?

If you are trying to book something that is already sold out for Heathrow current 11 month booking, then you don’t want to hit search until 8 am.

In your case. The value room is sold out so tomorrow, wait to do the search. If you do it before, it will see it as too early

I may be confusing myself here but it was showing full availability for the value room prior to 8am EST. If this is the case, do I still search at 8am?

When I say full availability, I mean starting today, not tomorrow, if the value room is sold out for 11 month booking today, then you can’t hit search until 8 am.

Basically, you can’t hit search until the start of the 11 month exact window if that is going to be the first available date, Don’t go to the calendar before 8 am.

I do suspect some of it is bots. You never used to see value rooms available on rental sites, and now they show up there frequently. However, this ability of getting a room booked at 8 AM for values has always been very tricky and involved some luck. (It's similar as a BWV owner and trying to get standard view rooms, even though there are a heck of a lot more of those. As others have pointed out there are only 18 of them, and if there's only one or two available and two hundred people are trying to get that one room, you are going to have a lot harder time than with the 57 savannah studios, which are in much less demand. And don't get me started on Concierge!

I just recently booked a full week of concierge but did it day by day as the previous day showed up usually anywhere from 9:15-11:30 and some even later. Yes I know stalking like this is a huge pain but it definitely works if you want to try it. I saw multiple value rooms pop up that stayed available for quite a while. You would only have to refresh every half hour or so (I know it's a lot).

I see! So say for example I am trying to book 7 nights from 5th May at 8am today (all dates showing available) but the 4th May (yesterday) isn’t available anymore, I have to search dates at 8am..

I’ve officially succumbed to the walkers. No availability now until 6 days ahead which is pretty crazy. If only they would find a way to stop it.
