So if Epcot is not open until 9am, can we cut through Epcot to get to the Boardwalk? Or de we need to take a different route? If so, what would that be? What time should we leave? We are staying at GF villas.
Thanks!

What I would do is take the monorail from GF to MK. Then hop on a boardwalk bus from MK to Boardwalk. I'd probably say leave at like 7:15 to be safe.

No, you can't cut through Epcot.

Easiest is using a taxi, Uber, or Lyft from the villas to the Boardwalk. I'd guess 20 or so min for travel and walking to the restaurant.
If a park has EMH, you can bus to it then transfer to the resort bus. You'll wish that you had grabbed a taxi, though! Give yourself 90 minutes for this option.

With all due respect to your wallet, if you can afford to stay at GF, take a taxi to Boardwalk before taking two forms of Disney transportation at 7am to get eggs & pancakes.

Hahaha- we are DVC which is why we stay at GF. Trust me, my wallet is screaming in agony at this point...lol. I'm cool with Über-ing it, DH- not so much.

No You can not enter Epcot when it is closed.
You will have trouble making an 8 AM ADR at the Boardwalk using Disney transportation.
Your best bet is to get the first bus of the morning to DHS (if early enough) and then walk to the restaurant. I would be at the bus stop about 6:15
I would taxi/Uber

Let the husband know that you'll take the $20 for a taxi from your shoe allowance.

For the record, I frequently use that tag line with my wife. Never works. :rolleyes1

We went there from AoA and found it easiest to take the bus to Hollywood studios and then the boat over to the boardwalk area. Wife wasn't keen on starting the day with a long walk.

How early was your ADR? I'm not sure the boat is running early enough for an 8 AM ADR

I'd do the Hollywood Studios bus from GF and walk the path...it's not a bad walk.

But, and this is a BIG but because it just depends on the driver and the route and the crowds, almost every time we have had an early breakfast like that when we get on the bus the driver asks everyone where they are headed (there are not usually a ton of people at each pick up) and he has taken a stop at each destination. So, you might get lucky...but, I'd get on going to DHS with the intent to walk and I'd leave about 90 minutes early.
