Michelle, I feel for you. One of the reasons I don't post my real name here is because I used to have my real name on my amazon.com reviews. Some lady read a review where I mentioned I had twins, and apparently she was expecting twin grandchildren.

At any rate, with my real name (and amazon.com reviews generally have your town listed), she was able to find my address and she mailed me a letter wanting advice. I was really freaked and haven't used my real name there or anywhere else since. And it wasn't even that I was scared of that woman in particular, it just really brought home to me how easy it was for people to find me, most likely because my name is so unusual. If I were Ann Smith, no problem, ya know? :rotfl:

At any rate, if she gave YOU information, she's likely not trying anything nefarious. I think you're fine.

Ok, so am I the only one who thinks this is cool? :confused3 :cool1:

I'd be so excited if a stalker came up to me at Target and handed me her phone number.

Wait.... some how when you see it in print, it's not so cool -it's actually freaky deaky. Nevermind. Carry on. :rolleyes1

ITA, doubtful she's a stalker - sounds more like a lurker. I give her some credit for approaching you, afterall you are a DIS celebrity, Michelle. :thumbsup2

Lin & I were stopped in Disneyland by a Moderator here who recognized our pictures. It's cool....

...yet kinda creepy. :scared:

Yeah, I'd be a little freaked out too! Flattered but a bit heebie-jeebied! Don't say too much in case she searches for posts you wrote. Maybe you could just email her instead?

Yet I`ve peeked into the Salons at thte Mall looking too see if you were working! :lmao:

I would be thrilled to have a lurker approach me...it would mean someone was actually reading my PTR. Which isn't happening, so I don't have anything to worry about.

OK, I'm officially freaked out. I just had a lady stop me while I was shopping in Target to tell me that she was a lurker on the DIS and read all of my TRs. She was excited to meet me. She was really nice and wanted to get together sometime to talk Disney. This is the 1st time that this has happened to me outside of WDW. :scared:

I don't know how to feel right now... :confused3

Oh dear. That would have me really creeped out.

Every now and then I get paranoid about posting my pics on here but it passes until I read something like that.

Hands all around!!!!! I'm at post 1,000!!!!!!!

Congrats!!!

HEY

Michelle, it is kind of cool that somebody recognized you but I can understand the creepy feeling. It maybe would have been different if it was somebody who posted on your reports and you "knew" them. :confused3 I'm not sure how I would feel.

Yeah... I think that's it. If she had a DIS screen name and I knew it and could recognize her back, I don't think I would have been as freaked out. I met Angela in WDW by just passing by and it was cool because we knew each other's DIS names...

Oh, and I wanted to make a formal apology to everyone who has a TR going right now (even you, Buzz! ) because I haven't been able to keep up with reading them. :flower3:

This is my busiest time of year - I make hand-made custom keepsake items (mostly photo quilts - yes, I run a sweat shop! LOL! :rotfl: ) and Mother's Day is my biggest holiday. It's even bigger than Christmas. I'm working on my last few orders this week and when I ship them out, I should be home free and have more time to DIS. :thumbsup2

I think I have a tendency to feel like I'm in a Disney-filled bubble when I'm here...all happiness, all the time...but when people you don't "know" recognize you, there goes the bubble. I had someone tell me they remember seeing me in WDW in Sept of last year. That was bizarre. Oogie, even.

And on a trip related note, DH bought himself some Crocs. He was alone in Costco, following the list, and decided to stray and buy himself some flops.:worship:

Michelle, I had a bunch of stuff quoted, but decided this was easier: I agree with everything said already! I think I'd be a little weired-out, but flattered, curious as to why they'd never posted, and comforted that they were providing their own contact info. not mine. :thumbsup2

sharkB8 - he went for the Crocs?! I'm so impressed! I think he enjoyed shopping for yours in Dec.; I saw that Croc-shaped twinkle in his eye as he told the story. :rotfl:
