Since I'm in an updating mood this week, thought I'd add a little here, too...

Ditching Gramma (?)
Whilst enjoying The World together MLK Weekend, Lauralee and I talked some about our plans for FockerFest 2008 - Return of the Wiener Salad. And I expressed my concerns about bringing Gramma:

She hates the heat.
She hates the humidity.
She hates socializing.

So I'm planning on bringing her to WDW, in FL, in Aug. to meet 50 of my closest imaginary friends?! :headache:

But, if she doesn't come, what do I do with Leo whilst everyone else hands their kids off to other family members for a drink or two around EP after Winerthon?

As always, LL had a solution:

Sandcastle Club!

That's the kids' club at the BC/YC. Michael loooves him some time at the kids' clubs and Leo would enjoy it too, if he could hang with Michael. SO we could have dinner with everyone, bring the boys over to the Club, then enjoy an adult beverage or three at EP or the resort, wherever we all wind up.

Sounds good, no? Only one catch - Gramma thinks she's coming in Aug. And even if she's not looking forward to it, she'll be most put out if I uninvite her.

So I figure I've got two options:

1. Leave Gramma at AKV for Wienerama and send Leo to the kids' club.

2. Start now making Aug. sound completely undesirable. Complain about how crowded Biergarten will be, how steaming-hot the water park will be, how uncomfortable those pull-out sofas are. Hit her where it hurts. Then, in a few months, mention that I could use the kids' club and Gramma doesn't absolutely have to come if she doesn't want to. :rolleyes1

Tough call. :scratchin:

Great idea! Do you think the boys would mind if Maddie & Evan joined them? I'm not sure how I feel leaving M&E with Waldo and TE to make it back to SSR alone, KWIM? I'd rather let Waldo and TE tour WS together and head back to the room when they're ready and Andy & I can get the kids at our leisure.
:thumbsup2

Sounds good V. I don't think we will be hanging out too long after weiner fest, especially if we are doing LOEMH the next day. Jim may take Jimmy and Andrew back to POP and swim or something.

:rotfl2:
Don't forget Tilt a Whirl (and make sure to smell the bars for T)

OMG was that not one of the funniest things you've ever heard?!?! I'm still :rotfl2:
Got it packed. And my dad loaned me a "hot prod" --it looks like a devils fork and you can zap people that can't make up their mind in counter serve lines. He swears you only have to do it once, and then they learn! :teacher:

:lmao: That's an AWESOME mental picture!!!
WOO HOOTY!!! Post-Wienerfest party at Michelle's villa! J/K ;)

I was thinking the same thing, heh heh...:thumbsup2

Isn't that kind of like those kids who taunted the tiger at the zoo and she ended up attacking??? :confused3 Just sayin...

I love that...she hates the heat, humidity and socializing. I know!!! I'll bring her in August to meet 50 people!!! :lmao: OMG you KILL me V!!

But, if she doesn't come, what do I do with Leo whilst everyone else hands their kids off to other family members for a drink or two around EP after Winerthon?

Hmmm.... I ain't sayin' it's right, but Michael's become very used to tagging along with Mommy drinking her way around the world...:rolleyes:
As always, LL had a solution:

Well, if there's any possible way to get out of my parenting duties...I'm all over it!!

:banana: I think it's an awesome plan, if I do say so myself...

Hmmmmmm....what to do? :scratchin What to do???:confused3

pirate: I think you're on to something!!
I tried that with Tony once...he came anyway...:rotfl2: Just kidding honey, love you!!

GREAT idea! :thumbsup2 So you think I should go that route?
..

Yes...let's plan on that...

I am officially booked at BCV, I called member services to make the switch.

But not without some attitude.. I talked to Wilma, (not sure if the same that is married to Fred) and she must have known that I know LL. I started the conversation that I was looking to switch a ressie (hmm, thay may have been the first clue that I know LL). SHe asked me where my original ressie was. OK easy enough to answer..BWV. Her reply... If you say so. And may I add her voice was dripping with sarcasm:rolleyes:

::yes::

Hey! :mad: I can't help it - If you must know, I smelled all of you at Lapufest - and FWIW, you guys passed! :rotfl2:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today in the mail I got........ ready for it????
A postcard. From Disney Destinations. In my name. With a pin. But this time, was only for 20%. But I finally got somethin' in MY name! :woohoo: Anyone want to try to use it? PM me.
I also got a nifty letter/pamphlet thing from the Disney Travel company, thanking me for returning to DisneyWorld - probably similar to Kate's and Janet's. But it was in Andy's name.:rolleyes:
I also started vacation shopping. I KNOW! :confused3 I can't help it. I bought a couple of really cute tanks and a pop-up hamper for our room - LIME green of course. ;)
I need to get serious with my dieting - I'm thinking of going back on Kimkins, no carbs and all, but I just don't have it in me, yet. It's just so cold, I need my extra insulation.:sad2: :lmao:
When did you smell us? :confused: :rotfl2: Great news about the pin :yay:
Hey, T, I got the code for 20% today, too. And my new DVD. And they're so glad I'm thinking of coming back... :rolleyes:
V, I think the kids club plan is a good one. :thumbsup2 My boys loved the one at AKL - they still talk about it. I will have to think of something similar if D isn't able to join me. I think I'd go the sneaky route with Gramma, FWIW. ;)
Hooray!!!
:banana: I feel the same way! :banana:
WOO HOOTY!!! Post-Wienerfest party at Michelle's villa! J/K ;)
:scratchin Not a half-bad idea... maybe I should look into getting a grand villa for that night!? Anyone want to help me out with points? :teeth: (I've always wanted to stay in a BWV grand villa - this sounds like the perfect reason to! :thumbsup2 )
I was thinking the same thing, heh heh...:thumbsup2
Great minds... that's all I'm sayin'... :dance3: A BWV after-party bash does sound fun... Jellyrolls anyone?
So, let's see... you were at BWV (where I'm staying) and you switched to BCV... :confused: What, do I smell our something??? Maybe T needs to check me out and vouch for me in August! :goodvibes
Happy Thursday! :grouphug:
No need to have T sniff you;) ... I am at GF Thursday until Sunday and then switching to BCV Sunday until Friday. I wouldn't be there when you are anyhow. I figure Kelly would prefer the pool at BCV then BWV.
Well, OK then! :goodvibes I forgot you were doing split-stay in Aug. BCV is better in the summer! :thumbsup2 So, are you planning on renting a cabana at the GF? (I wonder if it comes with a cabana boy???) :cloud9:
You've GOT to be kidding me?! :headache: Now you've gotten TWO Pin discounts? Maybe I need to supply WDW with a fictitious name at my work address. :cool2:
:rotfl2: Hey, did you go to ON? DId you happen to notice if they've got girls' Tshirts in yet?
Like they aren't onto you either!
:rolleyes1
I'd be all over it... you kow, if I actually had any points left. :rolleyes:
