Are you getting her a stroller? I think the only thing that kept Maddie going was the fact she wasn't walking in all that heat. The heat sure does take a toll on the little ones.

She'll be 8, would she fit in one. I think I remember that either with DVC or Disney Visa, there is a discount on stroller rental. Maybe get one just for miscellaneous stuff.

Throwing my 2cents in here about a stroller....Michael INSISTS on one and OMG he is the slowest walker you have ever seen, so I pretty much insist on it too!! I rented him a double for a little more "elbow room" in August and he loved it.

Plus, I can put him in the stroller and go as fast as I want to that way...not waiting for him to catch up and not worry about him getting tired - no matter what the weather is.

I paid $16.10 or so per day for the double after the DVC discount, but totally worth it in my opinion. And if you do rent, get the "length of stay" rental as it gets even cheaper. We'll be using it again in January - I have 2 stubs for a double left and may get a single afterward to save some $, but will definitely have him in a stroller:thumbsup2
Oh and the nice thing about the double is you can load all your junk in there too - backpacks, etc instead of carrying/wearing it while walking!

OK, this is concerning me becasue this will be the first time we are going that Jimmy is NOT in a pull-up:scared1:
In my case, Maddie's the type that is afraid to miss out on something, so I had to keep asking her if she had to go. The only time I forgot to ask her was when we met up for LOEMH and she christened the IASW lines. :rolleyes1 Just be sure you always know where the nearest potty is and ask frequently!
ETA: looks like a party of 10 since T is crashing;)
::yes::

I think she would - I know you get a discount w/ DVC and Disney VISA. See how she does the first day and go from there.

I'm thinking of getting E & M a double and ditch the single Macs for August. Has Michael ever been able to fall asleep in those?:confused3 I know Evan will need to at one point, Maddie - not so much.

UGH! Was just replying and the boards went down:mad:

Anyway, here is a picture of Jimmy sleeping in a single stroler at EPCOT last year

OK T and Mo, I will make the ressie for CP for the 24th. Is 10:00 good for everyone. 6 adults and 4 kids (since Andrew is considered an adult:headache: )

I will definately keep all this in mind.

The first day is only half and the second day is WP. That should give Kelly and me an idea of what she can handle. I like the idea of the double, more room for her and STUFF. See another reason why I need my Focker friends:goodvibes The idea of a stroller for an 8 yo never occured to me, but I can see why you would want one in WDW in August! :thumbsup2

Puffy french toast, eh? I've only done CP for lunch and dinner - I'm a breakfast virgin. Be gentle!

Hey Janet---look at the post time---it's like almost now!!
Did they fix the clock???

And uh.....I like French toast........and eggs......and whatever else you're talking about! :lmao:

I guess that's what they were fixing when the boards went down earlier:confused3

Oh! It's right again!!
(still not sure that was worth giving up a nite of DISing, but it's pretty cool at the moment!!)

What's your latest resort thoughts?? I lost sleep over this in October (seriously--I dreamed about wandering around resorts and never making it to the parks!) :rotfl2:
It's nice to have Disney to worry about tho, right?? :thumbsup2

I don't want to alarm anyone, especially as I'm not sure it impacts the Weiner night, but I was pricing things out and reading the new DDP rules, etc. and ran across this directly on the DDP explanation on the Disney site:
Two table-service meals will be redeemed per person dining for all Grand Gathering Experiences except for the Good Morning Character Breakfast, which requires only one table-service meal.

As I said, I don't know if the Weiner meet is an "Experience" that falls into this category, but someone on the plan might want to check it out. :thumbsup2

party pooper! LY/MI! :lmao:

On our 2005 trip we got in the really long line for the bus one night at Epcot and when we were eventually right near the front Ellie said she needed the loo, we told her she had to wait as our bus would be here soon and she just wet herself  The lady behind was lovely and gave us a load of napkins and we washed it away with our bottle of water and made her sit on a plastic bag on the bus but OMG I wish she hadn't done it!!!!!

This is just MHO but there is no way my girls would be seen dead in a stroller at that age (I just asked them) maybe we're just made of tougher stuff here :rotfl2:

Mine either! But they DID want to drive their PawPaw's scooter....but that's against the rules!

I just take breaks when we need to----their legs are in better shape anyway so it's usually me calling for time out!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Great story.

Here's a question: Why on Earth would anyone subject themselves to the long bus lines at park closing? :confused3

Here's another question: What the frig is a loo?

Loo=the ending of a popular British nursery rhyme usually associated with skipping.
