what 2 weeks is all you get that's ridiculous, DH can take up to 6 weeks if he wants, admittedly he doesn't earn any money when he's not working!!!

I didn't know that wasn't his real name. I'm just using the kids' first initials, since that's what I've done on my blog. It's easier to remember.

I know. But it is a nice, family-oriented business and DH has gotten a lot of "attaboys" from higher up. He's happy, so I am too.

You have to remember Jo that it's only been a few years since women were even allowed to work in the US, let alone get vacation time.

My policy at work is one weeks vacation after any women have completed their 5th year of continuous employement without a sick day. I'm a fair guy.

I work for the city. We get 10 days vacation to start (can start using after 6 month probation period). 15 days after 5 years, 20 days after 10 years and 25 days after 15 years. I get 25. PLus we get 15 sick days (that we can bank up to 200) and 4 personal days.

Don't forget - I'll be *gasp* starting back to work in the fall. I doubt a new company will give me any vacation time for '09.

OK Fockers, since I am not doing pre trippie for February I am borrowing this pre-trippie, so um pardon the interruption...

For Christmas I surprised Mom with Cirque tix for our last night, she was very happy, she loves Cirque shows. Part of the gift was dinner before the show. I have an ADR for Boma at 6 (we are going to the 9 show). I was reading some reviews over on the Dining Board and am a little nervous. I picked Boma for a couple of reasons:
-Mom loves animals and thought she would enjoy seeing AKL (would have booked there, but with the construction decided against it)
-Mom loves to try different foods and can be very adventurous

Should I keep this ADR or try for something else, but what???

HAven't been to Boma yet but am dying to try it. Just have yet to be able to fit it into the schedule. Like Jo said, what is holding you back. I have heard nothing but rave reviews about the place
