Can my 8 year old play in the club or will she only be allowed in the lab? She will turn 8 two weeks before we cruise.

I'm looking at my navigators for the 8-9 year old and they have time to hang in the "club" and have free time. Are you talking keeping her in the club the whole time or just that she want's to visit it?

If you want to keep her in the club I'm sure they would do it if they had room for her and she still fit "in" with the kids. If you are talking just some time in the club then yes they do go there but as far as I can tell it's only 1 time (at least on our 5-1 Eastern that is).

My daughter was a week from being 8 on our last cruise and she got to choose where she wanted to be. She chose the Club and had a great time. It was better fit for her and it was nice for her to be one of the oldest.

To be in the Club (full time), she would have to be in the 5-7 year old group. Just a suggestion, but DCL is pretty good with ages. You can move a child down, but you can only make one move during a cruise (you can't move her back up!) So....suggestion....start in the Lab in the 8-9 group. Let the counsellors know that she is a "new" 8 year old...although many people have birthdays on the cruise. If the 8-9 group isn't working out, you can always move her down.

The 8-9s do have some time in the Club (while the little ones are elsewhere). Also, there is "family time" when you can take her to the club area under your supervision.
