8 passenger van vs 2 cars

We will be at WDW in November-for most of the week there are 7 of us but we will be adding an 8th for the end of the trip. We are staying onsite but will be going to Universal and back to the airport with 8. Should we rent an 8 person van-and if so, what is a good rate? OR Rent a minivan for the week and an additional compact for the 2 days? Thanks for any advice!

I would go for the van and the compact car. Most rental places don't offer discounts on large SUV's or vans. But using a discount code or coupon and sometimes both, you can get a better price for two vehicles. Also offen it is cheaper to rent for a full week verse's a few days.
