How are they going to be 3D? I worry that's they are going to be nothing compared to the movies actually made for 3D!

Actually most movies are made in 2-D and converted to 3-D. My problem is that I like the digital copies, but I truly think 3-D is just a gimmick. One of the problems with 3-D is many people get headaches watching it. Another is colors become muted. Don't believe me? Look at Toy Story and Toy Story 2 when they were released in 3-D and then watch on a high quality 2-D set on Blu-Ray. This is even more pronounced with Avatar.

A better way to get 3-D is to increase the quality and frame rates. There are new technologies that do this and basically your mind thinks you are watching through a window (you would perceive that as being 3-D.

I wouldn't invest in 3-D technology. I may buy the 3-D combo pack since with the coupon it is cheaper.
