I am pathetic, no pics!
With my one, four & six year old boys at all the meals, there were no time for pics! I was constantly being entertaining mommy as not to be an obnoxious parent letting my child scream or run around etc...:thumbsup2
Actually they were very good the whole trip, dining included. I were them I might have complained more about the food choices they had!:scared1:
On to the food......
TS~
The Plaza- We ate here during the start of MNSSHP we were seated in the window area. It was a great spot for people watching & my kids loved seeing the every ones costumes.
If you have ever eaten at a Friendly's this is very similar. The food was O.K.
The kids got grilled cheese, my DH ordered a cheeseburger & I got the reuben..all decent.
Our server was very sweet w/ the kids & overall very good.

Whispering Canyon Cafe breakfast-
We stayed at the VWL which we loved..so we tried WCC while waiting for my parents to arrive for the weekend.
Our server was Wendi, she was very nice & fun w/ the straw throwing & everything, the boys loved it!
The boys got the french toast, which I tried & it was very good!
My DH had a western omlet & I had two eggs srambled to share w/ the baby. We got a pancake as a side also, whch was great. There was alot of food!!!
IT took a really long time for our food to come out though!!
There were tables that came in a good 20 min. after us enjoying their food while we waited. I think if you order the skillet it is much faster, we ate there the next morning w/ my parents & I noticed the same thing.
Anyway I would say they have a great breakfast, the kids loved it, even though it was not fast, at all!
BTW, the second day we had a waiter, he was not what I would call WCC material, unless his monotone low energy was supposed to be funny, this guy made Ben Stein look hyper! We decide he would fit in better at Crystal Palace....as Eeyore.:goodvibes

I thought this was going to be really short, I have the tendency to talk a lot;)
Ohana dinner-
I was pretty nervous about this because of the really mixed reviews it gets, but we loved it!
The food came out fast, which was great after a full day in the MK we were hungry!
I had a pina colada, because I had to fit in w/ the theme!!;)
The kids ordered off the menu & got a cheeseburgers which they ate all of.
The wings & shrimp came out & I thought the wings were good, the shrimp were OK, average peel & eat shrimp.
The potatoes were great, I thought the veggies were good too.
I had the turkey, & steak, it was better than I thought it would be, not smokey tasting, a nice grilled flavour.
Then came the bread pudding, of course everyone was saying they were too full, once we all had some, oh my god, this is sooooo good, the ice cream & caramel sauce are so awesome on the pudding!
We finished it in no time, but as not to be total gluttons declined more bowls!
Great fam. style dining, we'll definitly go back!!!

Thank you for your reviews! I'm so glad you liked O'Hana--I am planning on making ADR's there for next year, so it's great to hear a good review! :)

Raglan Road-dinner
This was a great dinner, there have been some negative review on the dis lately for RR, but we had a great experience.
I liked this place because it had a different feel than most of the other rest. on our trip. Maybe because its not Disney owned, I don't know..
My parents were still w/ us for this dinner, we all thought the atmosphere was great, my Dad was like of course you bring us to a place w/ huge paintings of Bono on the wall, much like the U2 posters on my walls during high school, (even though I loved Larry the most ;) )
We shared the scallop forest & the goat cheese salad apps.
Both were great, the scallops were fresh & sweet & the salad was the best I had all week.
My DH had the fish & chips, I tried a chip & it was the best fry I ever had!
I had the Pie in the sky because I wanted to share w/ the baby & it was good, it really tasted like homemade comfort food.
My parents both had the salmon & loved it.
The boys had chicken fingers that were prepared in a batter similar to the fish, they were happy w/ the chips also.
Our server was great, he was very relaxed & entertaining, perfect Irishman! Loved Raglan Road, more to come!:goodvibes
I can't believe I almost forgot desert!
The bread & butter pudding was sinful!!
The sauces made it great, the bread pudding itself was a traditional tasting good bread pudding but when you combined the sauces it was unreal!
Everyone tried some & agreed.
The boys got vanilla ice cream & it came w/ the delicious butterscotch sauce.
I can't believe I had bread pudding two nights in a row. Its like I'm trying to gain weight!!

Artist point dinner-
OOP
For this dinner we were meeting my DSIL & DBIL who live in Orlando.
I thought AP might be a little too "signature" for the boys but the staff was very friendly w/ them & they loved coloring their artwork & seeing it displayed. they gave both the boys artist certificates & stickers which they loved.
For apps. we shared the Venison spring rolls & the salad.
I thought the spring rolls were very blah... not much flavor.
The salad sounded really good, but it was basically field greens w/ a little vinaigrette. (RaglanRoads was much better)
My DH ordered the Salmon, which they are known for, he liked it, but did not rave about it. I tried it & thought it was OK, nothing special.
I had the pork chop on macaroni & cheese. The pork chop was good, a little dry, I ordered it med-well, maybe med would have been better.
I was a little disappointed in the mac. & cheese.
It was a small penne pasta & the sauce was a little thin, I think they should have used a rotini or cavatappi & a thicker sauce, just MHO!;)
The boys had pasta off the children's menu, it was good.
For dessert my DH & I shared the cobbler, again I was not impressed, my grandma made a really wonderful blackberry cobbler that blew this away & it is their signature desert:confused3
Overall I was a little disappointed in AP.
My DH & I eat in upscale restaurants at home when we go out (which is maybe only once a month if that) & living in N.Y. maybe I have high expectations. I am really rating restaurants on what they are supposed to be, Ohana surpassed my expectations as did RR, AP didn't, not that it was terrible, just not as good as I thought it would be.

Sci Fi Drive In lunch-
If you really enjoy grease, this is your place.
I had a cheeseburger & it was all I could taste was a dirty grill:sick:
My kids both got pizza & it tasted raw I gave them some fries & part of my burger, which my 6 year old thought tasted gross, & he eats any burger.
My Dh had the onion rings & burger, he ate it but after said he felt sick, & he never complains.
The atmosphere was cute, but definitely not worth the food torture!
My DH had a milkshake that I tasted & that was good!
Thought I should say something positive.:goodvibes

Chef Mickeys dinner-
We had been to CM for breakfast & loved it so we thought lets try dinner, breakfast is so much better!!
The wait was really long to be seated, maybe 45 mins. after being on time for our res. I asked a CM if it was OK if I got the baby a roll because he was starving & had gone through all his cheerios on the boat ride over. They said of course, though I kind of felt silly, going up & taking a roll before we were seated! But it helped to keep him happy while we waited more.
The characters were great, the food was edible, I had some mashed potatoes & prime rib, & salad, nothing special, just OK if your really hungry.
The kids choices were lacking, mac & cheese, pizza & what was supposed to be corn but looked like a bowl of dishwater w/ a few pieces of corn floating in it.
The deserts were the highlight w/ make your own Sunday's & those little pastries.
Dinner seemed much more chaotic & was a lot less tasty than breakfast!

Coral Reef dinner-
I was really curious about CR since I had never been & it sounded really interesting.
My kids loved the tank, the divers & the sharks were their favorite, it really captivated them, we were sitting on the second tier & had a great view.
We got the kids the capt. hook glow lights for their drinks, but I didn't realize it was diet lemonade, I don't like them to have artificial sweeteners, plus they said it tasted gross so we got them chocolate milk too.
My DH & I had a glass of Merlot.
I ordered the seafood bisque, which tasted very creamy, almost & I can't believe I am saying this too creamy..it tasted like heavy cream which overpowered any seafood flavor.
My Dh had the cod cake which I thought was pretty good..very light tasting after the soup, which he finished.
We both got the Mahi, which was very good, nice & light tasting.
We of course had to order desert, being on the Disney Dining Pig...uh Plan!
We ordered the chocolate wave & the brulee, I know I might get in trouble for this, but the chocolate wave didn't knock my socks off, maybe the disboards built it up too much or maybe some ice cream instead of those cherries would have made it better, but I have had better choc. molten cakes. I love choc & creme brulee, I thought both were good not great.
We were anxious to get going since the baby had fallen asleep in his stroller & the table behind us had a newborn which they let scream through our desert, I don't understand why no one got up they just kept passing the baby around...it bothered me & I have kids, I can't imagine how annoyed I would be if I didn't!
My kids had more pizza, again not too good but they ate a little. They both got fruit for desert, since they hardly ate their dinner, mean mommy that I am!
CR has great atmosphere, especially w/ kids, good not great food.
Counter service coming soon....

Pinoccio Village House lunch-
The boys had pizza, my DH had the cheese steak sandwich, & I had the Figaro fries...which surprised my DH, but I actually liked them, maybe I was just in the junk food mood but they really were good!!
I had a bite of DH's sandwich & it wasn't bad.

Pecos Bills lunch_
I wanted CHH but was out voted.
My DH got the cheeseburger, which he liked better than the scifi burger.
I got the chicken wrap which was OK w/ the help of some honey mustard.
The boys got chicken nuggets, which they said were OK.
Not as good as CHH:rolleyes1

Roaring Forks Break. & lunch-
The selection is not as big here as a lot of other hotels...the sitting area is tiny we sat outside which was nice.
Everything was fine nothing special, except maybe the chicken salad, which was tossed fresh & DH & I both enjoyed it.

Epcot F&W festival-
Japan-California rolls & veggie rolls, good & fresh!!
Australia-Grilled shrimp & lamb chop..both tasty!!
Morocco-Pistachio baklava, sweet & yummy!!
Ireland-cheese plate good, potato pancake, yuk!!
Canada- Cheese soup rich & delicious!!

Snacks-
Dole Whip float..we all love these!
Mickey bars!
Frozen bananas!
Popcorn..which my 4 year old is obsessed with & had to have some everyday!!

That about wraps it up, we are looking forward to trying all new places next trip, even though after using the DDP twice, we wouldn't do it again, I think we would probably be more relaxed doing smaller lunches & signature or character dinners.
Happy Thanksgiving!!! Have some desert for me because I'm on a diet now!!:thumbsup2

Thanks for the reviews - I am really looking forward to trying Raglan Road again - I love the sound of the scallop forest.

We are staying at VWL in April so will probably try WCC for brekkie at least once - did you have ADRs for breakfast or were you able to get seated easily without?

Wow we had totally different experiences.

We really enjoyed Chef Mickey. Our res was for 5:00 when it opened, so we had no problem with the food or being seated. Our boys loved it.

We also enjoyed the Sci Fi. Our res was for 11:25 and they took us right in. None of us had burgers, but we had sandwiches (reuben and turkey) which were good. The spinich and artichoke app was very yummy. My DS had the ribs which were very tender. We loved the atmosphere.

We ate at Coral Reef. We did not like the atmosphere, but liked the food. It was very noisy in this restauant (we at at lunch). We had excellent service. Our view of the tank was not that good. I was expecting something different.

We did not have ADR's the first day, we waited about a half hour, but since we were waiting for my parents to arrive we didn't mind the wait.
The next day we had ADR's & the wait was only 5 minutes after check in.
I would make them if you can!:goodvibes

Thanks for the reviews! Have to agree about Sci-Fi, fun place, lousy food!

I liked reading your reviews! Thanks for taking the time to write and post them for us to read. :goodvibes

Thanks for the reviews! I am also from NY, have boys ages 4 and 6, and we were there last week too. I spent a lot of time at dinner trying to keep my guys under control!!

Artist Point was our favorite meal...you missed all of our favorites! The smoky portobello mushroom soup is to die for. I do not like mushrooms, but one taste of DH's, and I ordered my own bowl! The beef tenderloin is awesome....and since you enjoyed the bread pudding at RR and Ohana, you should have ordered the Coffee 2 Ways - bread pudding and a creme brulee. OMG, I was in sugar heaven. I have had the salmon and the cobbler before and I agree with you - they are good, but not spectacular. However the dishes I described ARE DEFINITELY SPECTACULAR. Please go again and try them!
