8 Days! 2 Resorts! Friends joined us..lots of fun! updated 8/6! *COMPLETE*!!!

I enjoyed your last update. Yes, Animal Kingdom is always the hottest park to me. Even if it is hot on that day, it is always just a BIT hotter in AK! I don't know why! :confused3

Sounds like you all had a wonderful day! :cloud9:

It's weird isn't? I think it's due to all of the plants or something!

OH NOOOOOO! I started working on Day 7 this morning was nearly complete when I took my kids swimming. I left it minimized and now it's GONE!!

OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOO ...:sad2:

It was a ton of fun to have Michelle there!! You should def. bring friends in the future!

You will LOVE BLT!!! It's location can't be beat!!!:lovestruc

thanks and we will so be walking to MK each time...my DH actually just wants to go over there one night go in, ride a ride and then leave...just because he can :rotfl2:

We got our call from Stitch extra early on Day 7 because it was early EMH at The Magic Kingdom! We told the kids the night before that we wanted to leave early. They got up and ready so easily and quickly! I called Michelle to see if they were ready and she was asleep. She said they were all asleep. They were so beat from all the long hot days that they needed to sleep in. I completely understood...I've had those mornings in WDW myself! We were having breakfast at the Crystal Palace at 10:15 so she promised to meet us later in the morning. We hung up and headed out! We were all in such a good mood that morning! I LOVE going to MK when it's really early and the park is empty! We got to Main Street and we found Pinocchio! There was no line to meet him!

We took a walk and wound up at Tomorrowland Indy Speedway. There was no line so we decided to ride! I rode with Darren this time and when we pulled in at the end of the ride the CM gave him a "driver's license"! He loved that! We walked over to the tea cups and Ashley and Darren jumped on. Lauren waited over at the gift cart near the speedway. She's a WDW shopaholic!

While Phil and I waited I took a typical self portrait of us..lol

A nice man who was walking by offered to take a real picture for us!

We decided to walk over to Frontierland and stopped at The Haunted Mansion on the way! Once again..NO LINE! We left HM and walked over to BTMR.

Here's the kids posing for a pic along the way!

There was no line at BTMR either! We got right on! Since Phil is a Splash Mountain fanatic he wanted to ride that too, but the rest of us wanted to stay dry until after breakfast. He was overruled! At about that time Michelle called to say they were almost to MK! We met her on Main Street and left the park for a minute to redeem our last GAD voucher. Just like at Epcot the CM was wonderful and gave us 9 green fastpass cards! One for each of us! We still had a little time before our meal so Phil ran to get Splash Mountain fastpasses. I'm trying to remember and I think we rode Peter Pan then too. Well before we knew it, it was time to check in at the restaurant. We grabbed a seat on the porch and waited for our name to be called. This was another first for us. We had never eaten there and picked it this time because Lauren is a huge Pooh lover! She even wore her favorite Pooh shirt just for the occasion!

I think The Crystal Palace is beautiful! I found this on google images!

The hostess said the characters were nearly to our table so we should wait to get our food since it would take them about an hour to come back. We never got to see Tigger and Tina was bummed. I have no idea where he was. The food was yummy and very filling. I finally tried the famous Pooh's Puffed French Toast! I liked it!

After breakfast we were glad to have our GAD cards because the place was PACKED! We walked over to Frontierland to use our Splash fastpasses and ride BTMR. We walked up to BTMR and got in line. Within a matter of less then a minute there was an announcement that the ride was closed. People started pouring out of both the standby and fastpass lines. We walked next door to ride Splash and guess what..CLOSED. So now were in the middle of a massive crowd with both rides in the area closed. We had the bright idea to go ride POTC instead since Michelle and Phil missed it earlier in the week. Well.....everyone else must have had the same idea! I have NEVER seen a line for POTC so long! I mean NEVER! Look at this mess!......

We braved the long line and rode! Well by the time we got off POTC the day was HOT! I mean really HOT! We used our GAD cards to ride The Jungle Cruise and the captain was particularly annoying. He talked like a surfer and I would swear he also plays Crush at Epcot. Once we exited the ride Michelle told us that she was going to take her kids back to Kidani. They were really overheated and tired and just wanted to swim. I said no problem and we said our goodbyes. :sad1:

So it was still early in the day..not even noon time yet! I asked Phil what he felt like doing and he said..."Well...since Michelle isn't with us we can park hop ya know"!!! I said OMG you're right! Let's go! :dance3: We decided to go to DHS so our kids could finally see Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular! I hadn't seen the show since I was in high school I think. We didn't get around to seeing it in 2007 or 2008. We were determined to see it last year but we were there the day after the performer tragically died during rehearsal and the show was shut down.

So we were about to have another first for us! We have only ever hopped from MK to Epcot so this was a new experience. On our way out of the park Lauren stopped to once again trade a pin!

We exited MK and started walking to the buses. We looked at the sign that lists the resorts and it hit me! We needed to go to the TTC! We weren't positive if we'd find a bus over there, but we headed there anyway!! We took the monorail over and found the right bus! We didn't have to wait at all there was a DHS bus loading! On the bus ride Phil and Darren were having a nice conversation and it looked so cute I took a picture!

We got to DHS and grabbed a times guide. Wow! We were just in time for Indiana Jones!!! The theater was pretty empty and we got great seats. The show started and my kids were enthralled! They absolutely LOVED it! After Indy we decided to go check out the standby on TSM. On our way we stopped yet again at The Great Movie Ride. We got down to the podium and asked if we could have cowboys. He looked at us surprised and said.."You want the western scene?" We said YES and he said ok but it will be like 20 minutes wait. We said oh forget it and once again..we got GANGSTERS! I think we've ridden this so many times we can recite the spiel they say. I honestly wish they would shut up for a while and just let us enjoy the scenery! no flames please! We checked out TSM and of course the standby line was crazy long!

DHS

The kids wanted to ride Star Tours again which was fine with us so we walked over there down commissary lane. At the end of the lane I finally found...The Writer's Stop!! I had heard about it, but had no clue where it was located!!! We walked the kids over to Star Tours and told them we'd meet them in the gift shop. We walked back to writer's stop so I could finally try the CARROT CAKE COOKIE!!! Lou Mongello says it's the best snack at DHS and I just had to try it!

See Lou's video review of this awesome snack here..

This cookie is HUGE! It's only 1 snack credit and enough for 3 people to share. It's so sweet and rich it took myself, Phil and Darren to finish it! You must try this!!!! :cloud9:

After Star Tours everyone's tummy's were starting to rumble for dinner so we decided to go back to MK for Pecos Bill and since we had a TON of fastpasses yet to use it was the perfect place for our final night in WDW! We entered the park and found lots of fun stuff going on!

They gave Ashley a special card for jump roping!

We walked over to Pecos Bill and got our usuals! We finally came up with a good system for toppings. I ask for an extra plate when they give us the food and Phil uses that to get my favorite toppings for my burger! We pigged out as best we could. We gave our desserts away to the table next to us! We walked back over to Splash and yayyyyyy it was open! We got to ride and it was great. Sadly, BTMR was still closed so the 9 fastpasses we had for that went to waste. We walked over to fantasyland to see Phillharmagic and guess what..CLOSED. That really stunk! I wanted to see it! We continued to use our GAD fastpasses and bought some souvenirs. We stayed until park closing. It was a WONDERFUL day!!!! :woohoo:

up next..Day 8! Epcot and a delayed flight!!!

Wow - you guys had another action packed day! So impressed with all you got done BEFORE breakfast. I am glad you also got to see the Indiana Jones show. I still haven't seen it, but I hope to catch it the next time. Always something to look forward to, you know?

And I wonder why those rides were all closed? That must have been a bummer to have had all of those FP's and not been able to use them. :sad2:

When I was making my ADRs I really contemplated an early ADR for CP or a late one. I figured since it was EMH we could hit a lot of stuff before the crowds rolled in and then eat! It worked out great! Thank goodness we rode BTMR early before it closed. I felt bad that Michelle and her kids didn't get one last ride on it. Speaking of unused fastpasses.... We wound up with a ton of them. On our Epcot day we got 9 for test track to use after we toured the world showcase. Unfortunately we never made it back to future world. I hate wasted fast passes!!
