We DID!!! We had such a good time and I'm dying to take the baby so we are thinking about booking a free dining package for September!

I see you're leaving for WDW in 5 days! That's awesome!

Thanks for stopping by!:)

I'm hoping to get Day 6 done tonight! The baby goes to bed around 7:45 so hopefully I can get to work on it by 8!

Stay Tuned!

Day 6 started off with an early wake up call as usual! We scarfed down our garden grocer breakfast and headed out! The kids really wanted to go to Kidani's pool party that afternoon. We decided to ride the big rides and see the things we wanted to see as quick as possible, the kids were cool with that idea.

Here's my family waiting for the AK bus!

Here's Michelle and her kids waiting for the AK bus!

We got to the park within a decent of amount of time even after stopping at Blizzard Beach! We entered the park and Phil took Jon and ran off to get fastpasses for Kilimanjaro Safari. Our plan was to meet at Kali and ride it first since there is rarely a line early in the morning. It was going to be another hot sunny day so nobody minded getting wet at 9 am! Michelle and I plus the other kids made our way towards the tree of life. Here we are!

Meanwhile Phil and Jon stopped for a quick pic too!

Tina had decided she wanted to start pin collecting and trading like Lauren and Ashley so we made a stop off at a gift shop to get her first lanyard! We figured Phil was waiting by Kali so we rushed over to Asia and he was nowhere to be found! I know him so well...I guessed he jumped on Kali with Jon while he was waiting for us. I was right! They were soaked! There was no line whatsoever so we all got on. Everyone was wet, but nobody cared!! Phil and some of the kids went for one more ride then we walked over to Expedition Everest. There was no line! We got in the standby line! I had never been through that line before and it was so interesting. This was going to be Ashley's second time riding this ride. She rode it when she was 6 and it was a little too fast for her. So Nick and Jon rode together, Michelle and Tina, and Me and Ash. Tina was once again so amazing! She's not scared of anything! After the ride the girls spotted some Yeti purses that were on sale. They were so brave on the ride so we bought them and had them shipped to Kidani.

On our way to Kilimanjaro Safari..

We went over to the safari and used our fastpasses! I love the safari and so do my kids. I don't think Jon cared for it very much, he seemed a little bored.

By this time the heat was getting to Michelle's kids. They were also wearing out from the long days. This was their first visit and I wanted them to see as much as possible, but my pace was killing them. This was my kids 4th visit to WDW so they were used to the heat and long days. We skipped Conservation Station which Lauren was bummed about. We all agreed to go to Dinoland then leave to the pool.

A month or so before the trip I had seen some pics of new desserts at WDW on the Disboards. We were leaving Africa on our way to dinoland when... We just so happened to stumble across some at AK!!! Probably the best use of a snack credit EVER!

I had the new paw print brownie! OH YUMMMMY!

Ashley had the new zebra cupcake! She LOVED it!

We got to Dinoland and headed for Dinosaur! This was the first time ever that all 5 of us rode this together!!! All of my kids except Ashley rode it last summer with Phil. I couldn't ride because I was pregnant so Ash kept me company at Flametree while I satisfied a craving!! On prior trips my kids were too scared to ride so this was very exciting for me! It was so fun, I love that ride! We walked over to Primeval Whirl to get in line. Oh no..Tina wasn't tall enough. She was crushed. Michelle took her on Triceratop Spin and Phil used his snack credit for a frozen coke. He has never ridden primeval whirl because he hates to spin!

It was just about lunch time so we called it a day. The kids were hot and tired so we skipped the rest of the park. We decided instead of using our counter service at the park that we should take the bus to Jambo and eat at Mara! I still hadn't ever set foot in Jambo and I was excited to check it out. It really is an impressive lobby! We found our way to Mara. The kids wanted to sit at an outside table together which was fine. I wanted to sit indoors in the air conditioning! I had the bacon double cheeseburger with fries and OH YES it hit the spot! We decided to walk back to Kidani which wound up being a lot faster then I thought it would be! The kids got changed very quickly and we headed down to the pool! The pool party was once again a lot of fun. They have lots of games and fun dances and stuff. The kids had a blast!!! I must admit...the pool at Kidani is probably one of the best pools I've ever been to at WDW!

On Day 6 we had reservations at 'Ohana and I couldn't wait!!! We were there in 2007 and had a terrible table on the backside of the firepit. We couldn't see anything and I hated it. We had high hopes that this time we'd be in the main dining room! We all got cleaned up and changed for dinner and headed out to the MK bus. We then took the monorail to the Polynesian. It was 7:00 and the place was packed! I got us checked in and just by looking around I knew it was going to be a long wait. We looked around the lobby and Michelle and I stopped in the store on the lower level. There was some cute stuff in there and I saw this perfume that was pineapple and coconut. Like an idiot I sprayed my neck with it. OMG it was awful! :rotfl:

I walked over to Michelle and she said I smelled like I spilled a Pina Colada on myself! It started giving me an instant headache so I went to the ladies room and washed my neck haha ! After a while our pager lit up and it was time to eat! The hostess was so awesome. She talked to us a bit and showed Michelle around since it was her first visit. We were seated at a big round table right next to the fire pit! It was PERFECT! Michelle and I ordered some yummy drinks to get things started.

The Pina Colava..so good my drink and The Lapu Lapu..Michelle's drink RUM!

Our food started arriving and the kid's games began! It was so funny...as the parade of kids went by Tina stopped and grabbed something to eat and continued on her way..it was priceless!

The kids had a great time!

We had a great meal. I really enjoyed it this time and I look forward to eating there again! We left the Poly and took their bus to DTD. Darren finally picked a souvenir! He created his own light saber at Once Upon a Toy! I bought a few charms at The World of Disney! We left for the resort around 10:30. Phil and I took the kids to the pool. It was great. There was hardly anyone there and we relaxed in the hot tub! It was the perfect end to a wonderful day!!!

Next up..Day 7..MK and Crystal Palace!

Great rep ort.... love AK....nothing better than Kali River Rapids on a hot day...we got soaked last summer and couldn't have cared less:lmao:I did however care when I looked at some of the pictures taken later in the day:scared1:

I looked through all of our AK pictures from over the years and it's so funny....all of the ones taken near where DeVine hangs out...we are all soaking wet! We must always get it taken after Kali! :rotfl:

For some reason AK always feel hotter and steamier then the other parks so thank goodness for Kali!!!!

We almost didn't go to 'Ohana. My husband was so disappointed with it in 2007 that I had to convince him to try it again. It was easily the best meal we had the whole trip! Since we were a big party they brought us a HUGE bowl of potstickers! We ate all of them and got more! haha we are PIGS!

It was GREAT!! :goodvibes
