Cast:
Dad, Mom, daughter age 7.
Day - Sunday, April 3
We got up about 7:40am this morning. Grabbed some muffins - and a refillable mug - at Roaring Forks and ate in the room. We were at the boat dock at 9:00, and got into the MK about 9:40.
The crowds the whole trip were great, and today started out fine. The weather was sunny, but a little cool. We got a fast pass for Peter Pan and hit Small World - which looks great after the rehab, then did Snow White. We then went to Tink's Treasures to get a sweatshirt for the kid - (Dad's suggestion not to bring coats). We hit Peter Pan, then got in line for Winnie the Pooh. We then hit Philharmagic for the first time for my daughter - best show we saw! Absolutely great! We then walked into Toon Town. My daughter has gone back an forth on Roller Coasters, so we thought Goofy's barnstormer was a good start. She loved it - and there were short lines too! We did it twice and decided Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain would be a go. We got a snack, walked through Mickey and Minnie's houses, then hopped the train to Frontierland.
We got a fast pass for Splash Mountain, and went to Pecos Bills for lunch - which was great. Went to the Enchanted Tiki Room, then got a fast pass for Big Thunder Mountain and went on Splash Mountain. It was the hit ride of the trip! Definitely our favorite!
We went on Pirates - got Captain Hook's autograph, and the hit Big Thunder Mountain. That was great too!
We went back to Adventureland for Magic Carpets, and then Country Bears. We hopped on the train in Frontierland, and headed out of the park. It was 4:00ish.
We got back to the hotel and did some swimming, then got some dinner from Roaring Forks. After vegging a little, we got back on the boat for the MK. We got there about 8:40 for the 9:00 Wishes. We stood near the flag pole. Absolutely amazing show! I never get excited about fireworks - but this show was great! Fireworks that exploded in the shape of stars and hearts, and the ones behind the castle that just kindof hung in the air and didn't dissipate for a while. Just great! Seeing tink fly was great too. As soon as the show ended we ran out of dodge and got right on a waiting boat.
Daughter passed out when we got back to the room, and my wife went to the gift shop and bought the soundtrack to Wishes (which my daughter loves).
It was a fantastic day - great weather and crowds were fine. Tomorrow we're back at the MK!
