We are going for 10 days and August and have 8 day park hoppers. Does anyone know the difference in price between and 8 day and a deluxe annual passport? For some reason disney.com doesn't show hopper prices above 5 days even though they offer 8 day hoppers in their packages.

I'm thinking that if they price is the same or not much different I will upgrade to the annual passes since we won't be blocked out on any days and will have the discounts on food etc. Can anyone also tell me how I would go about doing this?

It also wouldn't hurt to have the annual passes so I can talk my hubby into going again next summer. hee hee :woohoo:

We are deciding between them also. If you order your tickets in advance they are cheaper. Getawaytoday has the 7 or 8 day tickets for $199. (Yes the 7 and 8 day tickets cost the same. Go figure!) A deluxe AP is $229. We will be getting the 8 day hoppers to get the Early Entry. After using it DH will be upgrading to the deluxe AP for the restaurant discounts. We may upgrade my ticket and my oldest son's as well. We will decide when the time comes. Have a great trip! :thumbsup2

Oh, I forgot to add that if you can purchase an 8 day ticket at the gate I think it would cost the same as the deluxe AP. Getawaytoday prices seam to be a significant savings.

If you think you will be going back within the next 18 months it is well worth the price to up grade. We spent $885 for 5 people for 6 day hopper pass.We upgraded for an extra $260. major difference if you'll go back within a year. Now all we have to come up with is food, gas, and hotel.I always say you can either afford to get there or get into the park but sometimes both pushes your budget over the edge. Also don't upgrade until after you use your EE.And don't forget to use your discount like we did a couple of times. Also, be extra nice to whoever is checking you out when you are paying for your food.We had one guy give us the premium discount. We are planing at least 2 more visits that we wouldn't have been able to do otherwise.

I know someone who always buys the deluxe annual pass over anything else. but then again I think they go 3-5 times a year and we live in OREGON! lool so just do what you fill confortable with if you are going back again then it is well worth it in MHO
