Park hours for June just updated and my hard-won 8:15 BoG ADR is looking significantly less attractive for obvious reasons. We really would like to try breakfast there, though, and of course at this point there are no other times available. So I'm wondering what to expect with an 8:15 ADR on a day with an 8am opening. Will we still be allowed in a few minutes early so we can get checked in on time or will we have to fight the rope drop crowds all the way to the back of the park?

1. Will we still be allowed in a few minutes early so we can get checked in on time
2. or will we have to fight the rope drop crowds all the way to the back of the park?
1. No.
2. Yes.

We had an 8:05 BBB appointment on a day the park changed to an 8 AM opening. They did let us in around 7:45.

Not sure what time they would cut off for letting in early, but I think there's still a chance with 8:15.

This happened to me also, stayed up all night to secure 8am at BOG and Park hours just changed. :( My understanding is that an 8am opening actually opens earlier than 8 am, 7:40ish, so not likely to get in early and get that "no one else in the park" time. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Are pre-opening ADR's typically hard to get? Is an 8:15 reservation harder to get during a 9am opening than an 8am opening?

Hmmmm..... if they're letting people fill in on Main Street in advance of park open, that would certainly complicate things. But you would think they would want their early breakfast people not to get hung up in a crowd and show up late, slowing how soon they can turn those tables.

I don't care much about "no one else in the parks"; we've done that before and it isn't a priority. I would like to make it to breakfast more or less on time, though, both to minimize waiting at the restaurant and to get through breakfast and out into the parks while the crowds are still relatively low. With a 6yo (no stroller - she hasn't used one in 2+ years) and my 68yo mom, I'm worried about how long it is going to take us to get all the way to the back of the parks in the rope drop crowds.

I just checked and the hours changed for both my BOG mornings!! Double dagnabit they were a big part of my plan to get to A&E and now that is shot. I do not have a back up FP for them and odds of getting one 29 days out are probably nil...very annoyed. I will be canceling the breakfasts though!

Yeah, that's why I had the early ADR too. We didn't book until about 45 days out so we had no chance of A&E FP+ at all. A pre-opening breakfast was "plan B". Now that's shot too. I have been to Disney a dozen or so times and never found planning this frustrating before!

I think we will keep ours, we have 2 fastpass for 7 dwarfs on our MK days and an A&E fastpass. And plan to be at MK on late closing day(2am).

I'm kicking myself because I could have booked one but thought that with 2 days of BOG bfast surely we would get in one morning. I'm feel terrible for passing it up because DD is really looking forward to meeting them. We have 3 MK days though and will just have to bite the bullet one day and stand in the line..bleech Any ideas of how we can find the best times to do standby? DD hates the rope drop run so I think that is out.

We will be there on a 2am close night also. Do you think the line for them will be much shorter after 10pm?

We always have had good luck getting on the rides then, depends on weather too. Can't really say on A&E but we won't be trying for that then.

It's happened to us this trip as well. It's pretty common for them to change the park hours to adjust for expected crowd levels, so I'm not surprised, just hoped we'd luck out.

Debating now as to whether to keep our 8am ADR. If we could still experience the empty park, we just might.

For those mentioning the Anna and Elsa fastpass...make sure you try the day you're in the park. We had like a 4 o'clock one in September (at the very very height of the Frozen freakout), and I was waiting in line at the Carousel with my daughter to waste some time, and I looked randomly for open FP's in the next 20 minutes from that time...and voilà - an open Anna and Else. We literally walked off the Carousel and over to Anna and Elsa. So don't worry too much yet - you'd be surprised how much opens up the day of.

When my daughter called for a later breakfast and there was none, the CM told her we would still be let in earlier so,we decided to keep our 8:05 ADR

. What is earlier I wonder? I canceled one of our reservations but kept one also for 8:15. Wonder when they would let us in? If we could get in early enough to get back there might still have a shot at A&E.

They told her 7:30, they told her we needed time to get to BOG and for us to get to MK at 7:15.

I asked this question in the other thread about the park changing times but i don't think it was answered...

From what I could see in someone else's experience of doing a pre-opening ADR - if you have a pre-opening ADR you first check in with someone to make sure you have a reservation. Then you get into the pre-opening ADR line. Are you checked again once you are in that line? I'm wondering what prevents someone with like an 8:15 reservation and being told "no you can't go in early" to just get it in the line anyways?

I had 2 BOG reservations & just cancelled 1 due to the times changing. The other day is still scheduled to open at 9, so hopefully it won't get affected.
