8 AM Epcot Breakfast staying at BC

We are staying at the BC and have an 8 AM ressie at Akershaus. Silly me thought that we could walk to the back of Epcot an they would let us in. Imagine my surprise when told we couldn't. Could anyone tell me the best way to get there. Boat? Taxi? Bus to ITT?

That's strange, we've always been able to walk in the international gateway before WS opens. I would check this again, I'm sure you will be able to do it.

Who said you couldn't? Epcot-area resort Guests are able/allowed to enter Epcot early and as conveniently as possible for a dining reservation as are Guests using the main entrance.

Please double-check when you check in at BC, but you should be able to walk to the International Gateway, and enter through a designated turnstile where the CMs will likely have a clipboard with reservation names. There's NO reason you or any other BC/YC/BW Guest should need to suffer the inconvenience and expense of having to take a taxi to the front entrance.

If by 'bus to ITT' you mean 'bus to TTC then monorail to Epcot', no, that's a huge waste of time. Plus, a bus from BC would take you directly to MK. You'd need to board the monorail to the TTC, then switch over to the Epcot monorail. You'd probably want to start out at 6:30 AM if you wanted to make your reservation on time.

the CM that I spoke to went and asked someone else about entering through the back entrance and they told her that we couldn't do it. I thought I had read on here that we COULD....I will double check when we check in just for confirmation. Thanks so much for your replies!

1) You incorrectly phrased the question.
2) No, you cannot enter Epcot from the back entrance.
3) But, you can enter from the International Gateway.

You're quibbling over semantics. I realized that the original poster meant the International Gateway entrance. I'm sure you did, too. That's the ONLY way any of the Epcot resort guests can enter the park conveniently.

If you have reservations for breakfast at Akershus, the cast member at the International Gateway turnstile should have your name on a list. I am sure the cast member would direct the party to where they needed to go.

My guess if that they would direct the guests to head clockwise past the UK and Canada, around Showcase plaza and head toward the Mexico area entrance to World Showcase.

You were told incorrect information, plus the CM booking your dining is not always familiar with WDW (sometimes they've never even BEEN there before) and are not the best person to ask about anything non-dining related.

There is an entrance to Epcot called International Gateway. You will be fine going in that gate, with anyone else staying in the Epcot resort area. Since the World Showcase won't be open yet, you'll need to go through Canada and back around towards Mexico to Norway for breakfast.

We've entered through the International Gateway many times to get to Future World before World Showcase opened. We have never been stopped or questioned. It wouldn't make sense to have to take a bus, monorail, or taxi to get to Future World when it opens if you are staying in an Epcot resort.
