Day 5 Cozumel
I finally got off the boat to walk around in Cozumel. The first stop there was getting my hair braided. The nice thing about Cozumel is the bargaining with the local people. I ended up getting my whole head braided for 20 dollars plus another 5 for an extra bead (which made me have 2 beads in my hair). The hair braiding took about 45 minutes. When you hear everyone saying hair braiding hurts well guess what it does. At first it was easy and I couldn¡¦t see why everyone was saying it hurt, I thought what wimps if this hurt. Then they got to the top and sides of my hair, either they started pulling really hard or that spot naturally hurts. I was hoping for it to end soon but my mom kept telling me only 5 more and when those 5 were up only 5 more¡Kagain. Finally with my head hurting and my neck hurting after being tilted at a funny angle it was over and we paid and went shopping. We went to many shops in Cozumel where we got free things thanks to being on the Disney magic ship, we had many coupons from the boat to show what cruise line we were from and to know where we got the free stuff from. Nothing in Cozumel was expensive but soon all the cheap things we bought added up. After a few hours of shopping my mom and I went back to the ship to drop off the bags we had and meet my brother after his excursion, well we beat him back so we went off the boat again to wait for him where my mom and I ran into my counselor who remembered me (wow, big surprise) and said hi as we passed. We ended up beating my brother back by a half an hour so we just sat and waited and eventually he showed up and we went to eat at Carlos & Charlie¡¦s. Wow was that ever exciting it was one big party in there. Everyone was drinking even younger children were taking shots, but me being the responsible child I am, and the fact that my mom was with me, I had nothing to drink. At Carlos & Charlie¡¦s they take your picture which was a lil weird but the picture was cool so we bought it. When we finished eating my brother wanted to do more shopping and so did my mom but I was ready to go back to the boat. With words of caution from my mom, don¡¦t talk to strangers (Duh!), I walked myself back to my boat and saw some nice looking people guarding the boat with really big guns, go figure. I rested for awhile and then went to common grounds met some friends and waited to go on the Teen Fury Catamaran. Finally the time for that came and we all went and boarded the Catamaran and saw dolphins swimming close by which was neat and the only time I saw dolphins on the whole trip. While on the boat we danced, laughed, and talked, basically the usual stuff but the best part no adults, once again, well besides the people who were working on the Catamaran and the counselors Shannon, Greg, and Bryan (but do they really count as adults, they weren¡¦t that much older then us and basically partied with usƒº). On the way back we lost power on the Catamaran so no more music for us but it was still fun and we were able to talk and actually think while we were talking. As like anything else the Catamaran ended, which in my opinion could have been much longer, and we all went and boarded the boat again. The security line was long with us all in it but it was no big deal, we just screwed around in line while the counselors counted us to make sure we were all there and none of us¡Kwell fell off the catamaran or went missing. That night we had a party in the sky box. This dance party was different then the rest because we all got glow sticks and the lightest were dim so it was almost dark yet we could see everything. It was a little crowded with us all in there and the music was the same but we still danced like there was no tomorrow. After the dance my friends and I went back to common Grounds where Shannon dimmed the lights for us there to so the glow sticks lit up the room for us. We continued dancing in the common grounds and at 2am we all left and went to bed.

Day 6 Sea
This day one of my friends and I decided to go check out the shops on board the ship and pick me up some neat souvenir from the cruise line. Boy did I pick up a neat souvenir; I decided I wanted a DCL Mickey stuffed animal. I figured I¡¦d just by the small one but when I saw the big one I decided I had to have it. I walk out to the phone where I called my mom and asked her about, she told me to do what I thought was right. I promptly went and bought the big Mickey stuffed animal but what I hadn¡¦t thought out was how I was going to get it on the airplane oh well that was just a minor detail. After shopping a lil more we decided to go to the teen talent show which was weird. Once that was over we had Hip Hop dancing. They taught us how to dance at a fast pace and to a Britney Spears song. We had fun trying to keep up and make it look like we knew what we were doing. After that the day was pretty uneventful consisting mainly of some more talking at the overlook on deck nine. After talking for awhile we went down to use the internet where we look on the TV and read emergency alert, oh great the boat is going down and I was having so much fun, turns out we found some Cuban refugees and everyone races to the window while we laugh and after everyone gets back on with whatever they were doing we go to look out the window to see 5 Cubans in a tiny boat next to us. The captain stops the ship and waits to hear from the coast guard to know if we can put them on our ship turns out we could so they get put on for about 45 minutes till the coast guard comes and takes them back to Cuba, most likely. After that the captain makes an announcement and we are on our way to Castaway Cay. When I say we are on our way I mean we were booking it, the ship was going up and down and the wind picked up, what fun that was. That night common grounds held Teen dance and Karaoke at Studio Sea. We decided to skip the karaoke because it didn¡¦t do well last time and we just danced. Once the dance was over many went to there room to rest because of the roughness of the ship but some of us also went and hung out at common grounds like all previous nights.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us! So, you bought the "big" Mickey Mouse. They have the big ones at the Disney Store, kiddo. I bought mine there, and I just love him. Didn't you like the Captain Mickey. He is so cute!

Tina :)
