8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC

POST 1001-1500 SUMMARY:

- There were extra theme dinners on the 2005 Repo along with a Disney Princess tea for all the kids and a Mickey Olympic type game.
- Embarkation is similar to how it is now done in PC with the boarding numbers.
- When someone posts "TAKE WHAT YOU CAN!" the proper response is "GIVE NOTHING BACK!"
- David Cassidy, Donny & Marie, Andy Gibb, Leif Garret remembered.
- Stacey walks her dog in her robe & slippers and her wrist really hurts.
- Captaincrash cannot answer with just a yes or a no.
- Sk8ingmom's DH will lead the DIS tour group in Cartagena.
- Everyone should rent Romancing The Stone before we cruise.
- For those that are looking into flights to LA for the cruise it is cheaper to fly into Orange County airport, Burbank, Ontario or Long Beach .
- Captaincrash had a large fire come within 150 yards of his home. The fire was stopped & his family was fine.
- How to save your place when reading the thread on page 95.
- Noone likes snakes or bugs...especially giant ones that fly!

Marcy---hop on in because we don't know each other either. I in fact have only been on cruises when the DIS total was like 10 families at best. I think most of my cruises probably had like 200 posts total. I think most of the ribbing comes from previous things people have said. Some of the posters/cruisers like Jeff (BuddyBear) Andy (Verandah Man) Lisa and others you may recognize from out on the main forum because they are always very helpful to everyone. Please don't feel like we are having a private conversation you are all a part of this insanity. We are just very comfortable with putting it out there for someone else to make fun of us about.

Very true!!! You may be new to the group now at post 2000 but you will be a vet by post 50000!

Marci...jump on in. I have only met Todd and Caroline...along with a few who have ventured over to say hello from our 12/9 cruise & are going on the May Repo. I have been on the DIS for almost 4 years now so have chatted with many here over time on the main cruise board.

That is so true!! Last cruise we recognized each other from the website pics and started talking like we had always done so. Some of us had minimeets during the year as well & the kids were able to meet up beforehand. That really helps!

Judy, I'll try to pump Morgan about the exhibit. Nothing grosses him out. He watched the Dr. pull the fluid off husbands knee a few weeks ago and watches when they take his own blood. Sabrina the 10 yr old (this Sun) also watches her bloodwork as well.However, she was the one who freaked out at the exhibit and had to walk around with the family. Only Mo went in with his uncle. I'm glad I didn't wind up taking them.
Picture this. At Seaworld with the kids when they were younger. In the Shark tank. Everyone went thru the tunnel and I was left with screaming child who was convinced the sharks were going to jump thru and eat her. See overheated grandma carrying screaming child over shoulders thru the tunnel
