I am wishing I had done that... I remember something back around 1647 that I wanted to respond to... and well, several other things too...

ROFL! Nope, I was away for 3 days...little no computer at all. It was nice & relaxing. Last cruise thread made me a good speed reader skimming thru posts. One weekend I was gone & there were over 10000 posts made I believe. It was insane!!! I read every single post on that thread though...still do!

And how did I get to 22 already? I thought I was just lurking...

You just go to the post count on the main meets board & click on the number. The post count shows up in a seperate window.

I am glad you liked and could appreciate this one. After all the price is only half of what they get (bar tabs, photos for me is usually our biggest expense, bingo, ........) They definitely "Take what they can"

Rowan; that's down near Glouster (sp???), isn't it? My son swims for TCNJ, and two of his friends swim for Rowan, so we thought it would be a fun meet to watch. I am leaving now.

Ten pages and it is only 4:15!! What will it be like when I arrive home tonight!

Once the cruise is booked Jeff & I will be working on a website. One of the things will be a DISKids listing by age group so that they can meet each other beforehand & email.

That is great! Our DS will be 13 and having already made friends before hand will make the 15 days that much better.

Jeanneg--great we have the eyes, ear, nose, throat, plastics, and nursing aspect covered. Is your real name Jeanne? Unusual spelling unless you are a cat 4 hurricane but my mom is a Jeanne and I am a Judy Jeanne.

Tiggrbaby--what college does your son swim for?

Last night at swimming my kids coach of their team (we have 4) announced she was moving to LA. Her husband is worksing on the movie AVATAR and they are making him move there. My kids were so upset. It has been constant turmoil this year. I hope there isn't anymore for awhile. We have this cushy indoor pool and all the other pools are outdoor and so we really want to stay where we are.

My son swims for TCNJ, a Div III school. It was 6th in the nation last year. It is his first year. He loves the coach. It is the same coach his HS coach had. I can relate to the loss of a coach. It can make a real difference in the attitude of the swimmers. Do your kids swim club or YMCA? My boys swim YMCA. James was at YNATS the last 2 years. I expect my youngest, Matt, to end up there when he hits HS age (he is currently 13). My middle son really just swims HS. He only did Y this year to swim strong enough to make varsity (and it worked!). I also can understand about wanting an indoor pool. We took the boys to a coach one summer near Cocoa and it was outdoors. It was broiling and stormy! It must be nippy sometimes in the winter!

Cool, my DS will be turning 13 on Sept 6, right after the cruise.

Thing is, I wasn't planning on telling him until much closer to the cruise....Like June 2008....I may rethink that. I'm already dying not telling him about this year's Med cruise.

IMO that is the ONLY way to cruise with kids. This past cruise DD knew one girl her age from previous cruises but met two others thru email for the first time. They were 5/6 and the emails were sketchy at best but made complete 6 year old sense. The four girls were the four mousekateers on the ship & it is heartbreaking that we can't cruise with them in December as planned. They are on the May repo as well.

After I posted earlier I noticed you said college. Our high school meets are held at RiverWinds. Yes, Rowan is in Gloucester County about 20 minutes from where I live. The church we attend is only about 5 minutes from Rowan.

Whew, got caught up again!!! I was reading during my afternoon break, but got a call and had to run out real quick. All of us in our department are going in and buying some Power Ball tickets for tonight's drawing, I had to meet up with one of my co-workers to give him my $$, now if we would only hit the numbers tonight!!! There were 12 of us that went in, and 11 of us said, "If we hit tonight, we won't be in work tomorrow." The 12th person, our boss said that he would have to go in to work because he would have to start replacing all of us, LOL!!!

Yeah!!!!How did you know? It's cold here for us and looks like it really wants to rain. I decided to stay at home today and cook. I am not so sure we even want to go to swimming like this. I know I am a Florida wimp. Probably not going to get much sympathy from a bunch of DIS ers who have temps in the 30's.
