Morning everyone:goodvibes
There was a funny article in the Orland Sentinel yesterday about Judys area Windemere. Her area is very upscale and it appears someone played a prank on the residents by dropping chickens and rabbits on the street. The story went on about how the residents were woken up by the chickens crowing (I'm sure they meant Roosters) and how they were chasing the chickens and dodging them with their expensive cars. The chickens were in the trees and they didn't round up all the rabbits as they said they were too hard to wrangle. I see lots of rabbits around for easter. They only pics they had were of the chickens in cages. Too bad someone didn't have a cam for that!:rotfl2:

OMG!! :lmao:

I am officially 100 pages behind. And just to curious as to what you all been talking about not to read them. So could you all please just be less chatty for a while. Thanks.

Good Morning! We are back, uck! It's cold here! We had a "magical" time and our servers Zaldy & Martina were great. Our cabin host Narciso was awesome.

DD had fun in the Oceaneer Lab and harassed one of the CMs! She and a couple of other kids were calling one of the pirates a weenie and she almost got thrown overboard! He was a good looking pirate. Yum! pirate:

I got my pic taken with Captain jack, but when he started doing that bug eye thing it really freaked me out and it was hard not to laugh!

Met the HR Manager on the Magic and now post retirement posibilities are swirling in my head. We bought the Disney Crocs and some jibbits.

I went down to deck 2 and took a picture of our future cabin 2566. Dumb I know but I can look at it and day dream!

Discovered that the cheap clear plastic shoe bag I got from Dollar Tree, fits perfect as a fish extender! Thought we could decorate it with stickers and markers. Will try to post a pic of it tonight.

Now to try and ketchup! :crazy2:

Welcome back! Sounds like you had lots of fun. Did you go to the rebooking desk and ask about the repo?;)

those cakes looked good enough to eat! and did you see, all
those cowboys and indians on the wall...it's a wonder there
wasn't a raid. anyone remember paul r. and his raiders of the lost
mermaid?...well its monday! where's spring?!!!!!

noticed i skipped lisa's comments about her husband having dinner in the
oven..i wan't the only pirate: swashbuckler to leave his sword by his side...
i tried once when we were dating......i've been barred ever since!
[ like the old saying used to proclaimed, "some cans of beans are best
left on the shelf" ].

jumping salamanders! ...we not only have evil twins, mutiple personalites,
now we have the 5-day cruise too? :faint:

what was your favorite board game?...my was broadsides, by milton b. .
now that kind of explained how i became proficient in manuevering
lil' ships into "firing positions". battle ship and stratego were close seconds.
oh, the day when you got near the the end..i don't know how many times,
your opponent would accidentally upset the board-- "just win' the next
move you have his flag..esp. older brothers! now i could be wrong, but
reading from the wenches' postings..i think the majority will be chosing
"clue"...not that they would "knock off" any body . :smokin:

VERY COOL :cool1: . If you need a place to bunk down for the night, you are more than welcome to use our guest room. What show were you able to snag tickets for?

And the cost for the use of the guest room would be, what ... one ticket, two :confused3 ;) Seriously, you are just too awesome! :worship: We've actually had GREAT luck using HotWire to get really good hotels in Boston at reasonable rates ... but I'll keep you in mind ;) We're gonna do the show on Sunday the 29th. My DH works a really crazy schedule and it just so happens that he'll have Sun/Mon nights off that week, so he won't even have to use a vacation day :thumbsup2

:wave2: Hi there!
:confused3 Next week? Too many posts?:rotfl2:

::yes::

Ok, question. The delivery people are here with my washer and dryer (you should see how confused they were when I said I wanted the washer downstairs and the dryer upstairs!:rotfl: )

How much do you tip them????

And there are two men... one is just sitting in the truck doing nothing?? while the other is unloading them.:rolleyes2

That doesn't help me. I'd just assume Blue anchors meant the Back of the Boat.

Thank goodness most of the floors are an oval -- I can just keep walking until I find my room.

Assuming I am on the right floor.

Hey, Hazel, nice to see you again walking around deck 6. Aren't our rooms on Deck 8?

I couldn't help but laugh, but Hazel has done this..............:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

On our last cruise, a lady asked Hazel where the Buena Vista Theatre was, Hazel told her to go to the front of deck 3. About 10 minutes later, we're in the Buena Vista Theatre and this same lady comes walking in, sits behind us and says, "That's the lady that sent us to deck 3." Angelina and I nearly wet ourselves we were laughing so hard. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Note to everyone: Don't ask Hazel for directions!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

No, No charge for the use of the guest room,; however I was going to try to score a ticket. That's why i asked what night you guys were going. DH is soooooo not into music and I am. I would have no problem getting a ticket for one (and probly snagging a pretty good seat at that) and sitting by myself, but it would be cool to have someone to go into Fenway with. If I could get two tickets I would love to give one to my brother for an early birthday present (he's a cool dude who likes to meet new people).

BTW, I am serious...I have no problem helping out a fellow DISer. I know anyone here would do the same for me. And, I have also have great luck with Priceline with Boston Hotels.

:flower3: magx, girl? ok...don't mean to be intrusive but do you
have a "french connection?"...we do, & it was kind neat how
my mother snuck it in, on us kids...my older brother patrick- has
her maiden name for his "middle'..piatt, after the piatt castles..,
the oldest was named michael "garland" and so forth..yep, my mother
was full of french :snooty: and wasn't afraid to demonstrate it--:tinker: 's
attitude on occasions! ahhhhhh but my dad  her for it...,he was pure
irish!

Not too intrusive at all, Lil' Grumpy...would never post this on the main boards, but feel I am among friends.....

Giroux is my married name; however DeFrancisco is my maiden name....no French Connection there - We're talking all Italian, baby :thumbsup2 . DH will tell, "french hasn't been spoken at their dinner table for many generations :rotfl2: .

I liked that, only 5 pages to read this morning since signing off last night, and yes BIP I did read your post!!!!! :thumbsup2
Aw, thanks!

I wonder if we have any obsessive-compulsive planners on this cruise with us.
Nooooo, ya think?
(nominate this sentence for the understatement of the year award)

I did and I agree. It's about time someone said that around here.
Um okay!

So let's all agree to use some obscure smilie in all our posts and see if it moves up the leaderboard.

VOTE FOR :cake:!
Sounds like a plan to me!
I like :cake:!
I post when I read the original post. Since I was over 1000 behind yesterday I wasn't going to go back & edit it when I finally got to your post. That is what is happening...not people not reading your posts. They are playing ketchup & responding as they go along.
Okay, if you say so! :cake:

I read them!!! ::yes::
Thanks!

Hi BIP,
I read your posts too! It is just takes awhile to use the quotes in the multi-posts. ::yes::
Thanks!

pixiedust: HAPPY (BELATED) BIRTHDAY TO KAREN, JORDAN, HAZEL, JEFF , ANTHONY!!!!!pixiedust:
Jeff says thanks!
(and thanks to allshookup for the belated birthday wishes also- but I had to edit that out of my quote of your post because it was in the midst of my collection of Rebecca's birthday wishes and I didn't want to spoil that part of my post with commenting in the midst of it. m'kay?)

No work today...We spent all evening FLOODING THE BASEMENT yesterday!!!!
Jen put a load of laundry in the washer yesterday before we left to go to a friend's DD's birthday party. Well, we got home last night to a completely flooded basement!!! (the washing machine is broken, so it is leaking all over...AND it's stuck on the rinse cycle, so it CONTINUOUSLY leaks all over while it's on!!!! So the ENTIRE time we were gone last night, we were flooding our basement!!!!)

AND, Jen was in tooth pain last night, and made an emergency dental appt this morning that's going to cost us about $1100.00. I just got a call from her to bring the credit card to her. She didn't bring it with her because she thought she'd be able to cover it with the debit card...

SO, after she's finished at the dentist, we get to go buy a new dryer!!! YAYYY!!!

-Christal
Oh no, that stinks! When it rains it pours.... everything always has to pop up at once!

I just had to share this in the midst of my reading frenzy -

DD4 just came in with a lace curtain draped over her head saying she looks like a wedding. I asked her who she was going to marry and she said "Daddy!"
awwwwwwwwwwwwwww

My DH has received a birthday card that says "Go buy your silly gun" more than once! I don't get it, but he's the son of a cop & he's carried a gun most of his work life, si it's his thing.

He only shoots at paper targets (not a hunter), so I have no idea why he needs so many. Oh well, our deal is that he can't buy a gun until we have enough $$ that I can buy an = value piece of Waterford crystal.

AND before anyone freaks out - they are all locked up.

The guns, not the crystal.
LOL
Glad to know I'm not the only one doing the "fine, buy what you want" thing on the birthday and personally, at my house we'd have to lock up the crystal too. LOL

I think that is just a rumor...
me too!

My DH used a colander once when one of the DDs was sick.
Um, a colander has holes, right? Correct me if I'm wrong. ewww

Let me get this straight. Your WASHER broke, so you're going to go buy a new DRYER?
LOL! I was thinking the same thing as I read along...

Isn't it going to be awfully hot in August to be wearing Black?
YES, yes it is.. for all of y'all in black, in August. LOL

I'm so with you M. My DH is another lurker. I think he just checks in to see what I might be saying about him. He is getting a little concerned about my time on the DIS. He's unleashed a new strategy. He has started timing me, and feels its only fair if I devote equal time to "other personal interests" if you KWIM.
Oh no he did-n't! LOL!!!!!!

Me too! I'm terrible at names and faces. What is really bad is that I live in the town where I grew up and occasionally run into people who know me - unfortunately, I usually have no idea who they are!
I am the same way with names. I will remember them eventually once I get to know the person, but at first I'm terrible with names- and I'll forget them to.
For instance people from the past, like you mentioned, and I'll recognize them but have no clue what their names are. I think it has to do with SO many people knowing me, since we moved from town to town and I went to many schools in this area, that I just can't keep up with all the names of people I don't see often or haven't talked to in years.

Another thing on this board or boards like it- I will eventually get to know people but their NAME will be their username or sometimes I'll even remember them by the way their posts look- so changing sig lines, usernames, pictures they have as avatars, etc. will totally mess my mind up and I won't recognize the person. It takes awhile before I can get past the username and know them by NAME. Like their real name. Sooo..if you see me on the cruise and I call you by your username or don't remember your name, PLEASE don't be offended. My brain is on overload apparently and it doesn't have enough space left over for remembering names!

BIP - I read all of your posts, I just can't respond to every one of them. Thank you for the info about booking HoJos, I'm going to call them today!
Glad to help! And glad to know they are being read even if not responded to. LOL

Did anyone else notice the pirate isn't on the easy smilies list????!?! I had to hit the [more] thing at the bottom to find it - and my scared one is gone too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:faint:
WHAT???
On no, this just will not work! That's ridiculous! I'm throwing a hissy fit right here and now.

I am officially 100 pages behind. And just to curious as to what you all been talking about not to read them. So could you all please just be less chatty for a while. Thanks.

Sorry, this didn't work when I asked nicely a couple days ago. Maybe your wand will do the trick? ;)

::yes::

Ok, question. The delivery people are here with my washer and dryer (you should see how confused they were when I said I wanted the washer downstairs and the dryer upstairs!:rotfl: )

How much do you tip them????

Probably WAY too late to help, but I tip $20. My thing is..."let me buy you guys lunch".

I had to put this part in a second post because with so many images it wouldn't allow it all in my multi-quote post before! Oh good grief, it's still too many images! Okay I'll have to delete some images... oh man this is bull! Stop limiting the images to only 25 for crying out loud. *pout*

And now, without further adiou.. adeu? I don't know. Anyway, here is my contribution to Rebecca's birthday- a montage of sorts of everyone else's Happy Birthday wishes in ONE post! Yes, this is a splendiferous... splendifirous? I don't know... something like that.. collection of all the posts, posted so far, for the princess Rebecca. I think she deserves to have them all posted AGAIN, for her. An encore if you will.

:cake: Happy Birthday, Rebecca! :cake:
