DS told me that he is giving up stunts on his bike & scooter for Lent. I laughed & told him that he can't give up something that he isn't allowed to do already. :rotfl: DD told me this afternoon that she just can't think of anything to "forgive for lent."

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
From the mouths' of babes!:upsidedow

Well, it turned out that I didn't make anything for dinner. I fell asleep while reading DS Bridge to Terebithia. When I woke up at 5:15 DH had dinner in the oven. :lovestruc

I always appreciate when DH does that!

I hear you on both accounts! DD is into collecting Stitch pins. I've slowed down a bit to DCL and lanyard pins.

Just remember, just 4 nights of Wonder is much better than work!;)

I've slowed down to DCL and "special" pins like DVC and AP.

I have to pick my cruises carefully 'cause if I could I would cruise year round!

BIP...regarding the flu mist vaccine...I just went into the office & told them that I wanted the kids to get it. We waited 5 minutes & went back. The nurse gave it to them & it was done. Insurance covers it too. :thumbsup2

Angelina said tonight at dinner that she would be a DW!!! :thumbsup2

Andy, did you tell her that she may need to carry buckets and what they may be used for?:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

she may change her mind!

I can't believe that I am posting real time on this thread! :goodvibes

That was me fellow Badger. It sounds great, where do you get it?

Poohmom :hippie:

would be ridemax dot com, I think they have a 2 week subscription. You don't want to do it too early because the constantly update it. We have the early subscription. Money well spent in my opinion.

I checked out the site...WOW. Being a vet of WDW for 30 years (I've been going since I was a kid) and having my DBro working there for the past 7 years I thought I had it pretty well figued out. With DD in school it's gotten a lot harder to bring her down in the off season, especially since if I pull her from school it's to cruise. Should I decide on a spur of the moment to go down, even in a busy season, I'll DEFINITELY do this. Thanks for the tip!:goodvibes

I am too!

I just bought a Diane Von Furtsenberg Toiletry Bag I've been eyeing for a while now.........I almost bought it at $69.99....then on Ebay for $59.99 but then I just got it at smartbargains for $39.99 less 25%. I had to jump on that, not only for TOAL but for WDW at month's end.

Gotta love thoase bargains:thumbsup2

Good night Mary, hope you feel better in the morning.:)

When I was pregnant with DS I would sing Eidelvise to the baby and sing "my baby" instead of "my homeland." Once he was born I sang "my William." :lovestruc He liked the lullabies but DD would cry more for most of them so I made up my own that seemed to work for her. We still sing it when she gets cuddly. :)

:flower3: magx, girl? ok...don't mean to be intrusive but do you
have a "french connection?"...we do, & it was kind neat how
my mother snuck it in, on us kids...my older brother patrick- has
her maiden name for his "middle'..piatt, after the piatt castles..,
the oldest was named michael "garland" and so forth..yep, my mother
was full of french :snooty: and wasn't afraid to demonstrate it--:tinker: 's
attitude on occasions! ahhhhhh but my dad  her for it...,he was pure
irish!

capt. crash...we'll be pulling for you and your family. i know your
happy spirit is great karma :thumbsup2 , and very contiguous for
all the good feelings it produces.

castoff...i wish i had real :wizard: to make those stressors go away.
that a tough "tug of war" on anyone feelings..but i hope we are able to
make it worth your investments. i like to share those days, when our
boys were little and we struggled just to go to wdw...the many happy
returns since then, became the motivation for taking our lil'princess: !
[ you know what ? some of my all time favorites memories are of those
times when we had to struggle....i'll remember when we had to run for
covered during a sudden storm..and we got stuck with our son's favorite-
pluto. & that gave us our first ewvere pin..his all time favorite!] i guess
what i am saying, we happy you & your family joining us! pluto:

oh, poohmom5.......you should have warn us! your story made me
feel :goodvibes ,from head to toe. what a loving family you have.

lisa described seeing the castle for the first time...immediately it
brought back my first time...:mickeyjum . you guys are disney! i know,
iam such a :mickeybar , but a happy one ! esp when we meet familes
like yours! :grouphug:

Hi DIS Friends!

I'm afraid I've been off the board a few days. I was pretty much "ketchup-ed" as of Wednesday night, but then I came down with a doozy of a cold. I've been barely functioning the last few days. The last couple of hours have started to be better so I am hoping it is over! Somehow, I don't think I am going to manage to read every post from the last 4 days - so I am resorting to the summaries ...

Posting Summary 35001 - 36000:
- When did you have your kids? We were married in 1989 and DS7 (an only child) was born in 1999. I was 36 and DH was 34 when he was born.
- Do your kids invade your bedroom in the middle of the night? Only when he has a nightmare - maybe once or twice per month. He has given up trying to wake me up and just goes to DH's side of the bed! :thumbsup2
- What do you want done with your remains? Crematation - DEFINITELY (Embalming is just plain gross). My Grandpa's ashes were scattered at our cabin in Wisconsin and I think all of us want the same.
- Jimmies vs. sprinkles debate. Always been "Sprinkles" for us here in Chicago.
- Blah, blah, blah your first car. My father gave me his International Harvester Scout (I believe it's year was 1969) when I started driving in 1981. It was litterally "built like a truck" since it was one of 500 'prototypes' they built to see if the ideas of a truck-like passenger car would have a market. It was also VERY rusty and eventually I had to tie the doors shut with string because the latches had rusted out! The first car I purchased was a 1988 Plymouth Sundance - I was being practical since I had just graduated and knew DH and I would be getting married the next year when he graduated. I really wanted a convertable (and I still do). I'm still being practical and drive a mini-van which is still a must for all our house renovation.
- Sub or Hoagie or Grinder. Definitely "Sub"
- Tell us about your first trip to Disney & Mickey Bars. My first trip was to WDW in January 1972 (3 months after it opened) and I had just turned 7. Clearly, this early experience lead to my lifelong Disney madness :cool1: DH's first trip was to WDW in 1989 as part of our Honeymoon. He was very grudging about going there since he "didn't like amusement parks" and felt that Disney was "just for kids". It took less than 1 day to convert him! He isn't quite the fanatic I am (after all he was 21 before his 1st exposure!) but he certainly enjoys visiting the mouse. DS7's first visit to WDW was at 6 weeks old and just about every 6 months since then. He is even more into Disney than I am - which just proves my point about early exposure! :rotfl2:

Posting Summary 36001 - 37000:
- The captain and fellow swabbies exchange makeup secrets. Huh? I guess I'll have to go back and read that part! :confused3 :rotfl2:
.
.
- Walk down memory lane with cancelled soaps. Nope - never watched any ... unless you count a very old sitcom called "Soap". I watched that pretty regularly once-upon-a-time. In general, I'm not much of a TV watcher and rarely watch continuing type stuff. Occasionally I watch stuff like MythBusters or tonights "Sand Blasters" with DS.

Posting Summary 37001 - 38000:
- Blah, blah, blah DVC point discussion. We looked at DVC way back at the beginning and it didn't seem to make sense for us and we couldn't have afforded the downpayment then anyway. Never really looked at it again, but good friends just joined so we may look now. Of course with the TOAL to pay for, we probably can't afford the downpayment now either!
- Blah, blah, blah early vs. late dining. We've always had late dining on our other cruises and really liked it - but we also really like meeting and dining with other DISers and since it looks like Captain's dining is going to be a big group, we're going to give it a try. We are pretty flexible (at home we eat anytime from 5pm to 8pm) so its not a big deal. In the past DS7 has only joined us for dinner 5 times out of 3 seven night cruises - so which seating we have doesn't effect him too much. If there are other kids at dinner, he might deign to gift us with his presense rather than go to the club :rotfl2:
- Crocs again... Yup - I still love them! Wore a pair all day today like they were slippers. The Mickey Crocs haven't arrived yet, but have supposedly been shipped ...
- Blah, blah, blah beer talk. Not much to say here - I've never liked the taste, so it wasn't a big deal when I found out I couldn't drink it!

Posting Summary 38001 - 39000:
- Blah, blah, blah really gross stuff!
- Blah, blah, blah they totally lost control today!

Maybe I won't even try to ketchup with this ... then again, it might be fun!

I'm all alone at the office tomorrow - if I still have this stupid cold, maybe I'll just get the necessary work done and then DIS the rest of the day! (I should be continuing the musical computers - I've finished setting up 1 new one and rebuilding 1 old one, so I still have 1 more new one and one more rebuild to go ...)

pdarrah (Pamela)

Hope you get to feeling better.:flower3:
