I'm just getting started in some ways. We have an early morning plan to hit Disneyland with another family. Then after lunch we have a birthday part conveniently set on the way home. We got a Krups Ice Cream maker for the Mom who is havin' the party... a good deal being that the IC maker was on sale.! Anyways... good nite to everyone signing off in the past few minutes....

We put down DW's kitty of some 13 years today...

Oh I so relate - We had to put down our 3 dogs - one after the other over the past 9 months. Our pets are so much a part of our lives. I'm so sorry. Especially when the pet has been with you for so many years.

That's why I adopted our Annie as soon as I did - my DGS missed the dogs so much - he kept asking where they were!

The tree trunk looked rather bad on the inside, here's a pic I took of the trunk.

When we moved into our house, there was a large tree in the front. Every time I looked at it, I wanted it to come down. I just didn't like it. We did get it cut down about a year later, and the thing was dead and could have easily fallen on the house with the right wind. Women's intuition...

Sorry to interrupt the typical posting of blah blah blah, rugby, t-******, groundhogs, room assignements and when our website will be up... I just had to share this...

Sensing that I am a bit down today because of my Dad, my DH and DD just gave me my birthday present...deciding what our plans will be for vacation this summer. We were originally going to sail Carnival...NOT. DH took it upon himself (I am the compulsive planner, not he) and booked us on RCCL Explorer of the Seas!

It sails 6/9 and sails from Cape Liberty, NJ. NO AIRPORTS!!! I am not afraid to fly at all, I just hate the hassle!!! It will be great to wake up, hop in the car and in a couple of hours be on the ship! Ports are Kings Wharf, St Thomas, St Maarten and San Juan.

You may now return to our usual blah, blah, blah...

It is a beautiful ship! You can't even feel how many people are on it. Bermuda is awesome. What a great surprise.

My LAST environment would be Seattle or London. Both are just miserable most times of the year . . although I wouldn't mind visiting

I love Seattle. Wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I've lived for six months or more in Texas, Boston, New Jersey, Las Vegas, Kentucky, Chicago, California, and vacations in Florida, Hawaii, and Indiana. We tell everybody how horrible it is here, but that is just to keep people from moving up here. When the skies clear, there is no more beautiful place in the world. See my signature of the view from my house. We could live anywhere we wanted since we both work from home now and we can't think of anywhere we'd rather be. I dream about Hawaii sometimes, but I think I'd rather just visit.

Oy, I don't like the heat, at all. This cruise is gonna be a test for me. But I know I couldn't stand extreme cold either. And Humidity and my hair are enemies, so I pass.

This is actually very controversial, since it is a composite salmon. It is a wierd combination of coho, humpy and red salmon, which really urks us Alaskans.

We know our salmon.
