Got this new cookbook yesterday - Cooking Light Annual Receipes 2007 - and as I'm reading through it I came across this receipe:

Rum Punch
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
4 cups mango juice, chilled
3 cups pineapple juice, chilled
1 1/2 cups dark rum
1/3 cup fresh lime juice (about 3 limes)
1/4 cup grenadine
3 cups club soda, chilled

1. Combine sugar and water in a small saucpan over high heat; bring to a boil. Cook until sugar dissolves, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; transfer sugar mixture to a small bowl. Chill
2. Combine sugar mixture, mango juice, and next 4 ingredients in a large bowl; mix well. Stir in soda. Serve over ice. Yield 12 servings (serving size = about 1 cup).

Well, it looks like Hazel won't be getting home anytime soon. The lady who was driving took 222 North and missed the turn for 322 East, now they are in Allentown, PA. They only went two hours in the wrong direction, before calling for help .................and the women talk about men not wanting to ask for directions.................


At least I got them in the right direction now!!! Thank goodness for cell phones!!!


Looks like Angelina and I will be ordering take-out again tonight.........

OH NO!!! I hope they get home safely!

OK, I'm breathing again, Hazel got my messages and just called back, they still haven't got back on 476, but they are headed in the right direction (again). I told her to call me when they get to 476. My nerves are about shot, and the strongest thing I have in this house is either iced tea, or hot chocolate.....................
