Orange Stinger
About 50 swings located inside that are raised about 10 feet off the floor and you are spun around in a circle while bee's are buzzing over the load speakers. Fun ride.

Looks like Hazel will be home later than I thought.............she just called to let me know they are leaving the conference center now and are stopping for lunch before heading home. So it will be awhile before she finds out she is a member of the DIS..........:rotfl2:

I highly doubt there's much use for The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy with this crowd. Though it would explain why John has this thing with stealing towels on deck 9.

(Let's see how many get that reference! :lmao: Where's Andrew when you need him???)

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy has a few things to say on the subject of towels. A towel, it says, is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have. Partly it has great practical value—you can wrap it around you for warmth as you bound across the cold moons of Jaglan Beta; you can lie on it on the brilliant marble-sanded beaches of Santraginus V, inhaling the heady sea vapours; you can sleep under it beneath the stars which shine so redly on the desert world of Kakrafoon; use it to sail a mini raft down the slow heavy river Moth; wet it for use in hand-to-hand combat; wrap it round your head to ward off noxious fumes or to avoid the gaze of the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal (a mindboggingly stupid animal, it assumes that if you can't see it, it can't see you—daft as a brush, but very, very ravenous); you can wave your towel in emergencies as a distress signal, and of course dry yourself off with it if it still seems to be clean enough. More importantly, a towel has immense psychological value. For some reason, if a strag [non-hitch hiker] discovers that a hitchhiker has his towel with him, he will automatically assume that he is also in possession of a toothbrush, face flannel, soap, tin of biscuits, flask, compass, map, ball of string, gnat spray, wet weather gear, space suit etc., etc. Furthermore, the strag will then happily lend the hitchhiker any of these or a dozen other items that the hitchhiker might accidentally have 'lost'. What the strag will think is that any man who can hitch the length and breadth of the galaxy, rough it, slum it, struggle against terrible odds, win through, and still knows where his towel is, is clearly a man to be reckoned with." (The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Chapter Three)"

And I thought I was the towel-stealer on this cruise?

No, he realy died this week. He had a heart attack after being held hostage.

How ironic. If only he had been married to someone who was a chief cardiologist at a major hospital...

LOL.... superty cool. I think. But I'm probably going to have to cut back on that weekend in October. Gotta save money, ya know. ;)

(I'm actually one of the mods over there and I'm gonna get myself fired if I don't get off this thread and do some mod'in.)

I'd say this looks pretty good - just have to make sure we don't miss the wenches tea at palo or the pj breakfast.

DH just called me downstairs. He was watching VH1's Bands Reunited Show and they reunited Patty Smyth and Scandal. It was very cool, but I'm not sure if it made me feel happily retro or about 100 years old!

Okay here are some pictures from yesterdays little 4 wheelin ....the pictures were shot with a phone cam ...should have some good ones later this week that were taking on a regular camera....

Good Morning Everyone :wave2:
There will be no way I can ketchup. I feel guilty. Now I have a confession to make.............I can't deny this any longer because it is becoming a reality but boy can life be tough sometimes.

My DH just signed a lease yesterday for a apartment in Chicago. I am going to try and move to Chicago by the beginning of summer. I have been in this house for 16 years and so much clutter to go through and hurry up to get this house ready to sell, court with ex will not be fun. DD starting high school alot needs to be done there. My DD has been in the same school district her whole life.

One of the reasons I had posed the question about taking kids out of school a million pages ago was for this reason. Brooke will miss the first 5 days of school. We have made the decision that the cruise was booked first and well the experience and family can't replace that.

This decision has not come lightly and I can't tell you how many times we changed our minds in the process. Thanks for reading this. Letting others know can only help me 1. to do the things I need to because most of it is on me.

When you make it to Chicago, let all of us know and we'll help however we can to make you comfortable here. Any questions, just ask!

Congrats on Post #2000 MR!!!

Just a heads up.....I've been known to spontaneously barf from seasickness, so I might be carrying a bucket at all times.........and it might hold contents :rotfl

I might be doing the same MR!:rotfl2:

I see on the WB Repo that they are having Bunco tournaments. Doesn't our own Paula play Bunco.........It's a wench thing.....maybe we could play Bunco onboard!!

Well as long as we are talking dice...My DH kids me about bringing his little portable craps table onboard with us and starting an underground DIS casino! I told him talk like that would very likely get me banned!

Tina- I am hopefully seeing the light at the end of this very tunnel. My Mom had decided to sell her house after being in it for close to 29 years. It's taken almost a year to clear out 29 years of stuff. It was amazing what was buried in the basement. We've had several yard sales, made donations and just simply chucked. (We also played junk relocation with my Sister who lives in FL.) Having been the voice of reason in this and forcing my Mom clear out the clutter, be open and willing to let stuff go. Don't keep it because your kids may want it someday. In most cases we don't.

GoodLuck.:grouphug:

Oh, how I wish someone had given my mom this message. When she died and my brother and I went to clear out the house, if she could have seen all of the 'treasures' he and I gave away or threw out to the trash.

Another word of advice -- label your pictures. We found boxes and boxes of old pictures. I assume they are family members, but I never knew these people and there are no names on them. We did find one of a kid that said "Drew - 1976". I don't know anyone named Drew. Maybe it was a brother of mine they sold at auction.
