I feel a lot better now. Just heard from DH. He was driving his friend to JFK and I couldn't get a hold of him. He finally called back; didn't have the cell on him. Said the roads weren't bad and he will be starting his way back in about 10 minutes. He better be careful, he has my van!

Hmmmm, perhaps only our council (for what ever reason) changed the name. We have this problem where we are on the border of two GS Councils...Our's sells the cookies for $4/box and the next town over who is in the other council sells theirs for $3.25/box. I can't tell you how much greif us parents get for that one.

The recipe:

1 lb. kale or other dark cabbage
3 lbs. potatoes (Yukon Golds are best)
1 onion, chopped
1 stick butter
4 oz cream
Pinch of dill
Pinch of nutmeg or mace
Salt and white pepper to taste

I've already started looking around at chartered bus rental out of Anaheim . . . the big buses with TVs, etc., hold around 60 people, and there should be no problem filling at least one (or two, or six?) of those heading from DL to the port . . . this summer or so I will ask people to PM me if they think they would be interested, and based on that rough number I will get a cost estimate.

Julie, since I'm here in So. CA I'll check into it also - however, since it's over a year away what do you think about booking a charter this far in advance?

No, we wouldn't book it this early -- I had suggested that this summer I might ask people to PM me if they are interested, then get estimates from a few of the companies I looked up on the internet. Then we could ask for definite numbers by early 2008 and actually charter it (or them, if we need multiple buses) then . . .

Every so often I will have a dream where DH did something that made me really angry. I wake up really POed at him and it takes me awhile to figure out why.
