I did speak with Jennifer at HoJos twice today...the first time she stated that they weren't going to do a group rate at this time. The second time, after I read some of the above posts, I called her back. She stated that regardless of the group, when you make your ressie, indicate that it is a DCL pre-cruise stay and you'll get the group rate.

I spoke to Jennifer too, what a sweetie! After I booked my room,she asked me if this was a "Pre-cruise" stay. When I said yes, she told me I'd get a 20% discount,so I'm paying $67.20 + tax for a Single King size bed,standard view.

Well after 21 years here some ideas....

Be sure to put on some classical music. Studies have shown that classical music in the morning increases math aptitude for the whole day. Don't know if I believe that, but you can bet your bottom bippy that I'd be putting on the classical station if my kid was having State Math Testing today.

OK - no laughing allowed OK? A couple of years back, I returned to college and was getting ready to take my finals on what is essentially Algebra 2 work (this I know cause my oldest DD was also taking her finals before graduation and was also doing her math finals at the same time - same level but she took it all year - UGH!) WELL....my stretching teacher had told us of this magic elixir named - classical music....even brought in this most magical CD AKA The Most Relaxing Classical Album In the World by Virgin Records. Well anyway, believe it or not - I found myself playing it for at least 5 minutes each day of my finals - don't know what to say other then I ended up getting an A in that class and the mere mention of MATH makes me or or even

And this from the most neurotic, obesessive compulsive person in this household - and everyone here can back me up on that one!

NO! I will not buy another ticket. Don't start on me...
I can seriously VERY EASILY become obsessed which is why I don't gamble as a rule. OCD- whatever you want to call it but I could easily become one of those people that blows all their money on lottery tickets every week. That's why I don't go bingo anymore because I start going more and more often and I have horrible luck! LOl
So please... let's not go there. I really want to have the money to go on this TOAL!
(another reason to love DCL- no gambling! Well except the bingo but I did that last time and won't do it again. I mean it. I won't. I mean it...)

Lisa - just booted up the computer and got the spam. I see that others have already posted, but just wanted to offer you a piece of ! We definitely appreciate you here!!!

It's kind of funny, but when I called DH about the HoJo stuff this morning and told him we got the "group rate". He thought it was really weird there was another group and asked why they just weren't on the DIS with everyone else. I told him I didn't really know the back story but my understanding was that they didn't like the moderated forums and wanted to be able to say ANYTHING in their posts... His response - "Probably not the sort we want to hang out with then!" Part of what we like about DCL is that there isn't much to embarass us staid midwesterners! The occasionally double-entendres (I'm sure I misspelled that) here and the jokes with the *** words are fun. But I like the "family" environment here and the moderators are what keep that going.

Anyway, I just wanted to say - Keep up the good work and we appreciate what you do for the thread and the board!
