o.k so who eats the most cake over 15 days. hmmm I might do that if I skip lunch. Then of course maybe I could just have cake for lunch.

Should we count coffee cake for breakfast as well.

Only problem is, I do need to be able to fit through the gangway doors when we get back to Florida.

Here's another pic of the neighbor's house behind mine. They "did" have a canopy off the back of their house, it is destroyed as well as their privacy fence. Looks like we have some cleaning up to do this weekend. It got up to near 60* here today. After all the rain earlier, the sun is now shining bright.

That "was/is" my chainlink fence!!! If the tree had fallen towards our house, it would have landed on Angelina's bedroom roof.


Since Hazel is away, I have to go pick up Angelina from school, I can't wait to see what she has to say when she sees the mess in our backyard.

So sorry for your neighbor, but glad you were spared the brunt of it.

Yes, all the appliances talk to each other and determine the order in which they will break down. It's a conspiracy.

Uggh! Why am I even bothering to look at washers/dryers when I know what I want! It sure is purty.

The worst part is our dryer still works fine... but they have to match, don't they?

Well maybe not if you can hide them off in another room or a garage or something- but ours is a laundry room you have to WALK THRU to get in the house from the garage, which is how we enter our home every single time. So yes, it has to match. LOL

Just got home for lunch, Hazel had already left for her Ladies Retreat, and I found the neighbor's tree crashed through our fence and also landed on the house that sits behind us. Guess I'll be calling our homeowners insurance company. Angelina and I heard a loud noise this morning while she was getting ready for school, but it sounded like thunder to me. I'm the only one who uses the back door and I just happened to see our fence was crushed as I walked in for lunch. The house behind us got it bad, part of their roof is missing from where the tree hit it.

I was never force-fed brussel sprouts. My dad always said if he ever wrote his autobiography he would title it: I Never Chewed a Brussel Sprout since he would swallow them whole when he was a kid.

I've always been afraid of brussel sprouts! Love green beans and spinach, but the spinach has to be fresh, not the nasty stuff from a can. When I worked at a summer camp in college, the kids had to take 'no thank you' helpings of things they didn't like (so staff had to also). At least 3 bites of everything. I spent a summer of my life swallowing lima beans whole!

BIP- I hope your husband feels better soon. None of that can be fun.

Since everyone seemed to enjoy old Disney pictures yesterday, I thought I would drag out my first experience with Small World. No it was not in California or Florida but New York. Here are a couple of pictures from the 1964 Worlds Fair that produced Small World, Carousel of Progress and the Grand Canyon Dinosaur portion of the railroad.

Love it! That was before I was even born! (5yrs)

Just got off the phone with my homeowner's insurance company, they will be sending someone out to check out my claim. Here is a pic of the tree that crashed this morning. I talked to my other neighbor and he has already called a tree service to come out and remove the tree. Luckily, no one was injured!!!

I've got to get back to work as soon as I fix myself a protien shake.

BIP - sorry he's still doing poorly. Hopefully things will get better after the shot and they figure out what's wrong with it.
