It kinda makes it boring when it's always one sided for one team. To be honest, it is almost like a tropical vacation with all the food, real dishes and now they have a bed? What more can they do for them?

ITA. They were so spoiled by it all that they decided to lose their advantage and give up someone on their team to keep it.

Closest we got was the Shamu Southwest plane a few years ago.

Closest i've gotten is just seeing the shamu plane as we taxied away from a gate at MCO.....

Here comes that little kid in me again Going to keep my fingers crossed that maybe, just maybe, we get to do something special. But....since it's been a year since I've been to the parks, just GOING is special!!!

If you happen to hear about a 40 something woman chasing the Dream Team and getting tossed out of the parks........well, you can say you knew her!

We saw both planes last March in Seattle when we were flying to FL for our cruise. It was very exciting.

My father wanted to get the perfect picture with the falls in the background. Against my mothers wishes of course he put us girls over the fence and on this rock. Still makes me want to ask.............what were you thinking? I imagine if somebody even tried doing that today what would happen. Can't believe he wasn't caught even back then. Hey nice view of the falls though huh?

Just got home for lunch, Hazel had already left for her Ladies Retreat, and I found the neighbor's tree crashed through our fence and also landed on the house that sits behind us. Guess I'll be calling our homeowners insurance company. Angelina and I heard a loud noise this morning while she was getting ready for school, but it sounded like thunder to me. I'm the only one who uses the back door and I just happened to see our fence was crushed as I walked in for lunch. The house behind us got bad, part of their roof is missing from where the tree hit it.

OH MY! Have you talked to the people behind you yet? I hope they are ok.

Thanks a bunch! I really needed that! It's been a rough day. Just found out my DDad is in the ER in Hackensack...complications from a prostate biopsy he had done on Monday. Four trips back to the doc since and now they're talking about admitting him.

Oh, looks like I missed some earthquake discussion somewhere along the way...We're near a major fault line (New Madrid Fault) along the Mississippi River. We're about 25 years overdue for "the big one".

Not this is a laughing matter per se...I know the magnitude with which we would be screwed if and when it finally does happen.

I just remember coming home from school when I was a kid and preaching to my mom that the BIG ONE was on its way, and we needed to stockpile canned goods and water!!!

I think we did do a family disaster kit once, and kept it in our basement. But We never really seriously kept it up to date.

Since everyone seemed to enjoy old Disney pictures yesterday, I thought I would drag out my first experience with Small World. No it was not in California or Florida but New York. Here are a couple of pictures from the 1964 Worlds Fair that produced Small World, Carousel of Progress and the Grand Canyon Dinosaur portion of the railroad.

Thank you. Not quite ready for "The" grand opening yet. We've taken over ownership from another person and we haven't quite dotted all our i's and crossed our t's yet.

The ironic part...they don't know yet if he has prostate cancer. Hence the reason for the biopsy. Now we play the waiting game until Tuesday, but all things look good that it will be negative. Thanks for your prayer!!!

OK, this is completely OT from anything being discussed here today...but I have a bit of a dilemma...

Last week, we found that we can get a MUCH better deal through Dish Network than what we have now through DirectTV (We currently only have a 1 room DVR with 20 hours of recording space...I know...dark ages ) So we're getting a 2 room DVR with MUCH more recording space, plus one extra receiver for just a little more than what we're paying for Direct TV.

Well, all week I've known that the guy is coming to switch them out tomorrow...And I knew that I was going to have to catch up on all of my TiVo'ed shows...Well, I'm going to have to lose almost the whole season of House and ER!!!

I don't know what I was thinking!! I won't be able to watch them tonight because I'm taking my Grandma to Macy's. I'm just going to have to lose it all...

OH well, there are more important things in life than TV shows...aren't there?!?!?

A couple of questions
1) Is it really TiVO (some people use that word when it is some other company's PVR?

2) Is your TiVO networked?

If so, the answer could be TiVO2Go. You can transfer programs from your TiVO to your home computer. It's from TiVO and perfectly legal for your own use.

I assume that you'll keep your DirecTV receiver, or can request to keep it, as Dish Network shouldn't need to take it. If so, the saved shows are on the hard drive, so you should still be able to hook up the receiver and watch them. Your installation guy/gal from Dish Network may be able to give you some pointers or assist.
