I want to thank everyone who has shared there WDW stories and pics. I have enjoyed them very much.:goodvibes I don't have any early pics to share, but somebody had mentioned a funny Niagra Falls story from NJ. Here is a pic from the 70's of me & my sisters. I am the one in the beige cape.:rotfl2:

My father wanted to get the perfect picture with the falls in the background. Against my mothers wishes of course he put us girls over the fence and on this rock. Still makes me want to ask.............what were you thinking?:scared1: I imagine if somebody even tried doing that today what would happen. Can't believe he wasn't caught even back then. Hey nice view of the falls though huh?:rotfl:

How funny... Sadly I know a few folks for whom this seriously applies (who doesn't?)... and humorously I fit in among those for whom this applies as well with regard to being a happy DISing enthusiast! I subscribe to the notion that if you can't enjoy a bit of whimsy and or freedom in your day then whats' the point of everything else?

We've never been to Niagra falls before, sigh. One of the places I wanna visit before I run outta time fer it. Not that I'm countin' down those days yet.

Uggh! Why am I even bothering to look at washers/dryers when I know what I want! It sure is purty.:rotfl2:

The worst part is our dryer still works fine... but they have to match, don't they?

What a great picture!

Just got home for lunch, Hazel had already left for her Ladies Retreat, and I found the neighbor's tree crashed through our fence and also landed on the house that sits behind us. Guess I'll be calling our homeowners insurance company. Angelina and I heard a loud noise this morning while she was getting ready for school, but it sounded like thunder to me. I'm the only one who uses the back door and I just happened to see our fence was crushed as I walked in for lunch. The house behind us got it bad, part of their roof is missing from where the tree hit it.

:scared1: WOW.

I hope no one was hurt?

Good morning everyone.:rotfl:

I am reading the posts about ages and how old your children will be when you turn 49.:rolleyes1

Well when I was 49 my children were 26 and 23. I still like the expression,"you are only as old as you feel!":lmao: There are days I feel like 21  and other days 101.:scared1: Just enjoy!!!:cheer2: The real secret is the joy of granchildren.:dance3:

Just don't ever visit in the winter time. Brrrr They do have a disney theme display that is part of the festival of lights. oh but I just told you not to go there in the winter time.:rolleyes1

What a great picture!

Still look for that rock when I go back to visit.:rotfl2:

Wow! It looks like everyone is having "a lot of weather" today.

high: 10 low: -5 (not including windchill)
Wind gusts 40-60 mph

I don't think I'm going to spend much time on my hair this morning.

And now for something completely diferent, a card. Jordan, just substitute "13" for what ever year is approprate - that is - unless 13 is appropriate.

Happy Birthday!

and now... I have to hit the road... I have perhaps 100-120 minutes drive to get home.

I am just glad it is only the fence. :thumbsup2 The poor people in Alabama really caught it.

Wow Andy :sad2: Hope nobody was hurt in the other house. Bright side it didn't land on your house. :wizard:

But it is concerning that they have no one close to them that can help them and that they call my DW because they know her from our DD's softball team. The mother's health sounds life threatening, so very concerning what options the children and grandmother may have if something were to happen.

Joel, I'm glad that there are people like you and your wife in the world....

It is very hard for some families...Be very grateful that you do have non-disfunctional family nearby.

Sure there maybe other relatives for that families that may be drug addicts or ex-cons or in an abusive situation. There sometimes is reasons to distance yourself from other family members.

I know when i was just in the hopsital it worked out that my DD was on a GS camping trip that weekend so my DH was able to come visit me.

Now i was lucky that he could go home at night and nothing seriuos happened. We did have two fur-daughters at home that would have needed care if he had to stay and we would have had to make a few calls. (We have no family around us either but our quality of life is better here in MD.)

o.k spent 1/2 the day here.:rolleyes1 need to get some um what do they call it these days? Domestic stuff done around the house.:) I will check in later.
