o.k funny story well at least I think so. DH doesn't watch much tv, in fact doesn't even really know about some of these shows. While I was gone I didn't want to overload him so I wrote down 3 shows I REALLY wanted to see. I wrote the day, time and chan. down for him.

Well he just stuck any oh tape in and missed the first 10 min. of show # 1 o.k no biggie show number 2 was Lost and boy was it lost ! He taped it near the end of one tape and stuck in any oh tape and it was in the middle of the tape. Yup it was at a critical moment of the show when ack............stick in 2nd tape and took me a 1/2 to find lost because DH rewinded it and of course I was lost as to where the tape had started.

Just ordered new pillows for the couch in here. The ones that came with the couch are weird...they have been washed so much that the filling is seperated & isn't comfy if you put your head on them...kind of lumpy. They were 1/2 price & 10% off with free shipping ... after I added a couple jackets to the order for me.

Guess what I forgot tonight?!?!?!? The potatoes!!! I usually fix corned beef & cabbage in the pot. Today I tried it in the crockpot. The beef went in the cp & the cabbage was cooked seperately. The stupid recipe didn't say anything about potatoes!!! I nuked a couple quickly when I drained the cabbage. NEVER AGAIN!!! OY!

I mean, think about it. The plane is late so the Captain has put the hammer down in a 747. You've got wind shear, downdraft, massive turbulence, not to mention four giant engines burning jet fuel at galactic temperatures. We're standing in a flying death tube!

(Ok, there should be some openings on Capt's Dining now as some people rethink flying to CA for this cruise.)

Seriously though. Have the folks who are afraid of flying thought about learning how to do it? Or at least the ground school portion, and may be a couple of lessons? It might help if you have a good understanding of what is really going on. I know that on past flights DH (who is a private pilot) has talked to seatmates who are afraid of flying. "So, now this is going to happen, and this is what the plane will feel like, and this is what the pilot is doing now." They said it really helped them

Ground school is available on DVD these days. Heck you could probably pick up a used set on eBay.

He looks like the runner up guy from 'So You Think You Can Dance'. Travis I think. He did great tonight. I also like Chris. Sundance was OK, but maybe just because I love that song.
