I heard on the radio yesterday (Kaiser commercial) that laughing for 15 minutes burns 40 calories, and offers all sort of other healthful benefits.
You guys are now officially part of my weight loss program.
Now, if I can just figure out how to reduce the intake....
Have a healthy lifestyle - join DIS!!
It's the perfect come back to our spouses - who think we're nuts!
Yes, but you can tell yourself that the house looks fine the way it is.![]()
Walking is the best way to see the city . . . in the summer sometimes I will take my girls downtown to Chinatown via subway and wander through Chinatown and Little Italy, through the Village (West and East) and end up at the Union Square greenmarket, before taking the subway back home. It's so much fun just to wander and explore -- it's my favorite thing to do while visiting another city
lisa we are more than likely in this group. I even finally have DW excited about this cruise and she hates to fly. She Say's I can barely fly to Florida she doesnt know how she will be able to make to to California
I'm now skipping all around.
But I want to say thanks to all of you for your well-wishes, and all of the great "new baby" stories and advice!![]()

That's exactly how we did it! We were able to see SO much of the city just taking the subway & busses and walking it! We got to the Guggenheim, Central Park, The Village, Times Square, the Empire State Building, and the Statue of Liberty...all in 3 days just walking and taking public transit! (and that little boat ride to the SoL...LOL)
And we only got on each others nerves once the whole time!(It was when we were wandering around searching for Jeckyll and Hydes in the Village. We were told about it before we went, and we wanted to have lunch there)
...we were lost and HUNGRY! Bad combination!![]()
... Imagine the whole "Haven't we already been down this street?!?!" "No! That was 3 streets over...it just looks the same." scene...

FINALLY, I and asked someone if he knew where it was, and he STOPPED what he was doing and WALKED US THERE!!!! All the way to the door! It turned out we were only a couple of blocks from the restaurant, but it was SO nice of that guy to just drop everything and take us there!
I encountered the nicest people in New York!!![]()
Got a few minutes to see what's going on, then I have to get ready to go get x-rays taken of my knees.
I think the men are boring, but I guess I'll watch it just to see how they do.![]()
Hello Everyone !
Remember me ?I am the one who used to be in the top 10 but dropped down the um well that doesn't matter now.
I have only been able to read the " ketchups " on page 1.
I wen't to Chicago then came home to get ready for our mother & daughter cruise on the wonder. Lots of yummy pictures to follow in the coming days.![]()
Don't know if it was just this cruise or not but thought I would mention it.........DD just got her passport and we tried to drop it off at guest services to get it stamped, we were told they no longer do that.Brent from GS told us where we could go in the bahamas to get it stamped. Boy was that a experience. Talk about not being friendly. Brent on the other hand well that is another story.
He was the best and we saw him everyday and did something special for DD.
Also my DD had a magical moment on cruise, will tell about that and post pics in a min. Next to my wedding cruise this was the best cruise ever.
