Stacey it's a good thing your DH was there. I suspect if he wasn't you would've made minced meat out of the woman :thumbsup2 The nerve of some people. It reminds me too of being pregnant and people touching my belly without asking. Now, that's not to say I wouldn't have let them, but come on, don't manhandle the Prego...Hello!

I hated when strangers wanted to touch my belly. I also wanted to deck them when they would ask how many babies I was having. I carried HUGE. All belly, you couldnt tell I was pregnant from the back. But only one baby each pregnancy, 9lb 13 oz #1 (7 min after my due date) and 9lb 3oz #2 (#2 was 3 weeks early, I'm sure if I went the extra 3 weeks he would been over 10)

Thanks Paula! Not the first time someone has harrassed me on the subway. I guess you kinda get used to it. I seem to attract all the freaks..lol

Mary

Mary it certainly sounds like you know how to take care of yourself. Mashers don't sound a chance with you WENCH!!! :woohoo:

:scared1: :headache: Are people really that stupid?

Yes they are!!! When my DD was about a year old we were shopping in Wal-Mart. A lady came out of nowhere and started making a fuss over my daughter and the color of her hair. (She was close to being a baldy but had the cutest curls in the back.) Any way, she kept getting closer and started reaching into her purse. I stepped between her and DD in time to see that she was getting out a pair of scissors!:scared1: She thought that she could just snip a tress of her hair to take to her hairdresser to match.:scared1: I said that she had to be *$&(#*$& kidding me and she still pressed closer to DD. :furious: At this point, my hands were clenched into fists and I was screaming for security to come and get her away from us before an ambulance was needed. Even while being escorted away by the security guard she was still blabbing about what the big deal was.:sad2:

Deck 7 Book Swap during cocktail hour?

That sounds like a brilliant idea! :thumbsup2

Paula when your walking me to my cabin, will you please help me remember my swapped book.....thank you! :rotfl: :rotfl:

OMG - it would take me weeks to clean out our attic. I promised Pete that I would work on it this winter and haven't done so yet...gee, I wonder what could of distracted me:rolleyes1.

If I had to guess Lorri it would be :surfweb: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Great job Caroline!! I'm really impressed with your skills! Great color too! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I wanted to thank everyone for their kind words.:goodvibes I really need to get the furniture in there so I stop spotting the imperfections! :rotfl: DH just needs to paint and nail in the trim and we are good to go.:thumbsup2

I'm so far behind I won't even attempt to ketchup - GS Matt shared a "Kndergarten Kold" or some sort of flu and we've all spent the entire weekend sick. Kept him home from school today - which is fine as I get to rest also - but I'm tired of kids TV!!

I miss reading all the posts though - I enjoy them so much.

Someone asked me last Fri about where we are in So. Cal --- we're in Redondo Beach. Going south from LAX there is El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach. The strand is a paved walkway that is adjacent to the beach. Along it are beach homes and some restaurants. THe strand in Santa Monica and Venice is quite something - their is "muscle beach" and a ferris wheel and part of the strand actually runs through the middle of the beach. Its' a great place to bke or roller blade and people watch.

Gotta get back to my nursiing duties.
Chris

Chris I hope you and Matt feel better real soon!! :grouphug:

You betcha!:thumbsup2

I'm in for a book swap. My fav's are James Patterson (just finshed "Cross" Saturday) Dean Koontz (started "Brother Odd" last night) and cant wait for Frankenstein 3 to come out. I also read Vince Flynn, and Jeffrey Deaver. Just recently started getting into Nelson Demille.

You did have big babies. What is worse than that is when they ask when you are due.....after you have had the baby!

Oh my!

My DB is one of NY safest also. He works out of Yukon Depot here in SI. Usually tries to do mostly express bus routes, the people are less crazy then the ones on the local buses, but not by much.

Howdy Maureen!!! You know I was one of those Express Bus commuters from SI for years. We were quite the rowdy bunch too!!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Luckily, that didnt happen to me. I snapped back ASAP. My problem is that now I look like I need a Due Date and DS is 6.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

My cousin delivered in Nov and as of a few weeks ago she was still looking preggers to me, the poor thing. The belly jsut doesnt seem to want to go down, and she is a thin girl.

Wow Maureen those are big babies and you look like a little girl! And I thought my kids were big. My DD was 9lbs. 1 oz. and DS 8lbs 5oz. also early by about 2 weeks.

Please dont tell me you were a bus groupie!!!!!
One of the ones that sits up by the driver and want to kill anyone that sits in "their" section. Yak to the driver through the whole commute etc etc :rotfl: :rotfl:

Luckily I have been on SI for the last 14 years, aside from the one week I had to go to our West St office last year for a training class. That was the only time I did the express bus....If I had to do it everday I would shoot myself! My first 2 years I worked on 18th in Manhattan, but I was only 19 at the time and did the bus/ferry/train route. Would go party in the village after work on payday so I didnt mind the city back then.
