Poor thing - hope her grade won't be affected too negatively.
I sent in a note to try and help her out.;) She is such a hard worker and a honor roll student. I hate seeing her get so upset over something like this. I have never had to push her into doing homework ect. always gives 110 % my DS on the other hand would be happy just to get a 65.:confused3

Good evening good afternoon hope everyone is safe and well and no one was effected by the traggic tornados to hit USA.

Hi Andrew, It's so hard seeing the damage reports on CNN. I am making my lists of places NOT to live when retire. Hope all who has family out that way is safe & o.k:grouphug:

:grouphug: Thanks a bunch! I really needed that! It's been a rough day. Just found out my DDad is in the ER in Hackensack...complications from a prostate biopsy he had done on Monday. Four trips back to the doc since and now they're talking about admitting him.:sad2:

DHs says every day is a good one when you wake up and there is no tag on your toe! (Can you tell he was in the Army for 21 years?) :rotfl2:

I know, I know....it's all in the details!:rotfl2:

Sorry to hear such news. PD being sent your way along with thoughts & prayers.:wizard: :wizard:

I really wish I had some cake. Perhaps it will stop snowing/sleeting/raining/yuckying long enough that my family can take my mother out for dinner tonight for her birthday and we can have cake!
:cheer2: Jennifer's Mom:cheer2:

Karen....lots of prayer and pixie dust for your dad!! :wizard: Went through all that with my Dad a few years ago, and then followed up with some more surgery this past year. He's doing great though....so I will hope for the same for your dad.

The ironic part...they don't know yet if he has prostate cancer. Hence the reason for the biopsy. Now we play the waiting game until Tuesday, but all things look good that it will be negative. Thanks for your prayer!!!:flower3:

Wish DindelsPA the same. All the best.

DH is flying back from Seattle today & he called me as he was getting on the plane. Guess what????? Here's the plane he was getting on!

That's so cool, I've always wanted to fly on that plane.

Closest we got was the Shamu Southwest plane a few years ago.

Nope, no warning at all.....all the scientists can tell us is that there will be a "big one" within the next 20 years.....well, gee I could have told ya that. They do know where the fault lines are, so they know which areas of the state could have quakes, but no way to tell that anything is coming. By the time the monitors detect it, we're feeling it.
When are you moving ?:rotfl2:

Here comes that little kid in me again    Going to keep my fingers crossed that maybe, just maybe, we get to do something special. But....since it's been a year since I've been to the parks, just GOING is special!!!

If you happen to hear about a 40 something woman chasing the Dream Team and getting tossed out of the parks........well, you can say you knew her!;)
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I want to see pics.

I'm reading now that the little 7-year-old who was killed in the storm yesterday here in MO was a little girl, not a little boy. The report I saw yesterday said it was a boy. Sometimes news people don't get all of their facts straight before just jumping on camera and spouting stuff off...

Since everyone seemed to enjoy old Disney pictures yesterday, I thought I would drag out my first experience with Small World. No it was not in California or Florida but New York. Here are a couple of pictures from the 1964 Worlds Fair that produced Small World, Carousel of Progress and the Grand Canyon Dinosaur portion of the railroad.

Cool pics. My dad worked there in 1964. Right before he went into the Army.

Well, I better get out of here and away from this computer.:surfweb: I have to pick up a present for a bowling party DD is going to later today and then go pick out the washer/dryer. I will need to do laundry this weekend.:laundy: Later all.

Here's another pic of the neighbor's house behind mine. They "did" have a canopy off the back of their house, it is destroyed as well as their privacy fence. Looks like we have some cleaning up to do this weekend. It got up to near 60* here today. After all the rain earlier, the sun is now shining bright.

That "was/is" my chainlink fence!!! If the tree had fallen towards our house, it would have landed on Angelina's bedroom roof. :scared1:

So it fell between your houses...  So glad no one was hurt....

From the picture though (as someone who's studied unhealthy trees) from the way the trunk was formed and the fallen trunk and what remaining. that tree wasn't too healthy to start out.....The storm and the wind probably caused the inevitable.

It just kills me sometimes when i see dangerous trees around and trees with huge damaged limbs hanging.
