Well doesn't it? :confused3 Do you guys have any weather, because I've never seen any on the weather map? :rotfl:

:sad2: No, wise guy it doesn't end at Worcester AND, I'll let you on a secret ... the Pike actually does allow for travel east AND WEST   :scared1: :rotfl2:

Ok, here's my weather confession ... if there's anything "major" happening weather-wise, I try to catch something from a Boston station because they are SO much more accurate than the yokels out here. Since our satellite company added local channels, I don't get NECN any more and it KILLS me :scared: I've got WBZ's web addy in my favorites :rolleyes1

I want to thank everyone who has shared there WDW stories and pics. I have enjoyed them very much.:goodvibes I don't have any early pics to share, but somebody had mentioned a funny Niagra Falls story from NJ. Here is a pic from the 70's of me & my sisters. I am the one in the beige cape.:rotfl2:

My father wanted to get the perfect picture with the falls in the background. Against my mothers wishes of course he put us girls over the fence and on this rock. Still makes me want to ask.............what were you thinking?:scared1: I imagine if somebody even tried doing that today what would happen. Can't believe he wasn't caught even back then. Hey nice view of the falls though huh?:rotfl:
NiagaraFallsGirls.jpg

I'm the one who was abused as a child and made to endure NF after a week at WDW.

Great view but what was Dad thinking???? My Mom has a bunch from that trip. I'll have to see if I can find them. I'm watching my nephew over the weekend. I'll have to put a bug in is ear and have him ask his Father (my Brother) to take him to Niagara Falls. Bad Aunt Kathy.........:rolleyes1

Just got off the phone with my homeowner's insurance company, they will be sending someone out to check out my claim. Here is a pic of the tree that crashed this morning. I talked to my other neighbor and he has already called a tree service to come out and remove the tree. Luckily, no one was injured!!!

I've got to get back to work as soon as I fix myself a protien shake.

Will have to ketchup later

Wow!!! :scared1: So glad that no one got hurt. Take care Andy.

Good Morning Everyone :wave2:
It may take all day to catch up but I will try.:surfweb: Rough night at our house last night. DD was soooo upset. She had a power point project due today. She has been using my computer everyday and working really hard on it well when it wen't time to put it on the floppy it said internal memory full. She x out of the screen , thinking it was saved well it wasn't and she lost the last 4 slides of her project.

I was able to format a new disk for her and put what was saved.:sad2:

Poor thing - hope her grade won't be affected too negatively.

To those that may have been wondering- DH's shoulder is still hurting and is worse now (again) since the 6 day dosage pack of the medrol was over last Sunday. I've been trying to reach the dr office all week and kept getting the answering machine saying to call back during business hours (till 5pm) and kept calling back and then every day aroun 4:30-4:40pm the answering machine would say to call back when they were open! ugh! I finally yesterday had to act like it was an emergency to page the dr on call- who happened to be our dr yesterday... and he called back. Jeff has an appt with an orthopedic surgeon on next Monday. Most likely they will do xrays, possibly schedule and MRI but also most likely give him a cortizone shot in the shoulder (dr says he can't do that) and that should help a lot. I hope so, because he's still in lots of pain and still taking vicodin at night because he's so scared it will hurt bad and not be able to sleep again. He can't live on vicodin every night to get sleep! :scared1: That's especially not good because he works early and sometimes gets called in in the middle of the night- his job is dangerous enough as it is without vicodin in his system...
Will update later!

BIP - sorry he's still doing poorly. Hopefully things will get better after the shot and they figure out what's wrong with it.:grouphug:

Yes, and we never repeat any discussions on this thread.

BTW, did anyone get a room assignment today?

Yes I already have my room number

I got a room number , I got a room number ...and guess whats inside it ...

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

OK...I will say good morning but it is hard to feel that way. I am tired & cranky. It is a very bad hair day. We are under a tornado watch and there is a tornado about 40 miles from here. The rain & wind are pretty bad & the street lights keep coming on. I probably shouldn't be online now but it is keeping me awake at the moment since I probably shouldn't rest until after this system has passed.

Hope everything is okay ...keep us updated and let us know when it passes

I've been reading the Disneyland Boards, trying to get ideas on where to find them. I hope that wearing my "It's My Birthday" button will help, too!

Prizes? What other prizes??

We've gotten Dream FP 2x in the morning, around 10am while walking into the castle. Usually the CMs are trying to move people along, but you can still walk up to them.

The big prize is a stay in the Mickey Suite at DLH. They're also giving out giftcards, merchandise and tickets.

Ok...why is it that my DW can't say "No"

I totally understand. My family has always been like this. We've always had guests spending the night or planning a get together for a wedding or a funeral or something like that. We've always been doers and the people that can be counted on. Sometimes it's a royal PITA, but like you said, it's the right thing to do.

Keep your chin up and remember that these children are going to remember your kindness in the future and hopefully it will be a positive influence on them. Sounds like they need kind people like you.

And at least you have rum. :thumbsup2

Yikes! Just got back from 5 days of Disneyland and there's 5171 posts to catch up on - hmmm maybe I'll pass.

I did get to talk with one of the Disney artists doing a watch design for the POTC anniversary watch. It's basicaly the 'Talking Head' at the ride enterance with the anniversary logo beneath.

DD (5) was now tall enough to do her first rides on: POTC, Space Mountain, BTRR, Star Tours (too many times to count). Still too short for Indie and California Screamin'

Still no cabin assignments for us :confused3

Andy

Welcome back Andy! Sounds like you had a great time. Love the pic's.

Good evening good afternoon hope everyone is safe and well and no one was effected by the traggic tornados to hit USA.

Just got home for lunch, Hazel had already left for her Ladies Retreat, and I found the neighbor's tree crashed through our fence and also landed on the house that sits behind us. Guess I'll be calling our homeowners insurance company. Angelina and I heard a loud noise this morning while she was getting ready for school, but it sounded like thunder to me. I'm the only one who uses the back door and I just happened to see our fence was crushed as I walked in for lunch. The house behind us got bad, part of their roof is missing from where the tree hit it.

TG it wasn't worse for you, but your poor neighbor!

Geez do you guys know hard hard it is to ketchup.....

We just had an earthquake!!!!!

Yikes:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

ditto that... and we're more likely to have a tornado here than either earthquake or hurricane. :scared1:

Here in MD we've had hurricanes and tornados....

A couple years ago (2003) a tornado passed right through the neighborhood behind DD's school. It was really scary cause it was during the kids dismissal time and they locked down the school and pulled arriving parents inside. i worked about 5 miles away and boy did the sky turn green that day and fast.
It turned out to only be an F0 but many of the townhouses had alot of damage. (roofs picked up, shingles tossed, decks torn off, chimneys pulled off the side of homes)

Two years ago when we moved out to Frederick, another tornado came right through the valley. It did skip over the downtown area but dropped again just north of us. It was around 6pm and dark out and as soon as i heard the warnings go out i phoned DD (who was home alone) and told her to grab the dog and head for the bathroom in the basement (no windows there and interior) I was so scared on the way home cause the rain was pouring (almost sideways) and the lightning was crashing all around and the radio wasn't telling us much and traffic was crawling.

So now, I can only thing of one thing to say...Good Night! I'll be back in the morning, I have to make sure the kids are up at 5:30 (bus comes at 6:30am!).

KWYM, My dd's bus is at 7:40 right now but when she goes to HS next year the pickup is at 6:40....Yikes !!! i'm not even awake then sometimes.....

I have a feeling i'll be driving her in to school most days.... (i start work at 7:30 and pass the HS on the way in.)

Phew I'm all caught up! That was tough! I'll be 49 in less than 6 years & my DD will be 17 & my DS will be 14.

I'm the lucky one. I just turned 55yo and our only child (DS) turns 34yo this month ..........

I'm with Brack.....DD will be 34 also when I'm 55. (she'll be 28 when i'm 49 so i might even be a grandparent by then  )

awww panama brack.....

This will be our 1st weekend as "business owners", wish us luck pixiedust:

pixiedust:

She x out of the screen , thinking it was saved well it wasn't and she lost the last 4 slides of her project.

Gotta love computers..:badpc:

This is crazy! The sun is now shining brightly and the rain has stopped. The street drains are either blocked or just backed up from the amount of rain that fell.

We have sun now too... Since around 9ish... But it's really windy out (like 30-40mph gusts

We've never been to Niagra falls before, sigh. One of the places I wanna visit before I run outta time fer it. Not that I'm countin' down those days yet.

Hey Crash...Us geeks are doing a Niagara meet this summer if you want to fly in.

I just happened to see our fence was crushed as I walked in for lunch. The house behind us got bad, part of their roof is missing from where the tree hit it.

Sorry to hear that....At least with a chain link fence you may only have to repair 20-30 feet of top rail and those couple poles replaced and reset. If you had a wooden fence it could be much worse.
