Most Sundays I can't follow what is being said because I have two kids constantly asking me questions...not about Church. :sad2:
I know the feeling, Lisa. I am so thankful our church has a children's service at the same time as the main service (even a nursery for the little ones). We still skip out sometimes if they don't have children's programs scheduled. DH10 still struggles with sitting still for very long (just like his mom). . . .LOL

I MISS naptime. :(

well, let me tell you...my naptime was very short lived today! in fact, i don't think i made it back to the boards after posting that comment!!! today was a light day of kids too...but nap only lasted about 20 mins....not nearly long enough when dealing with 6 kids! and of course, everyone is made to nap in the same room here, so if 1 kid wakes up, chances are everyone is awake within the next few mins! ugh! i can't wait for the weekend!

My doughnut theory:

A doughnut has no calories if I wash it down with a chocolate Slim Fast.

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

I work for a non-profit & we are usually feeding board members, committee members, volunteers, etc. So we invented the theory of "philanthropy calories". If you eat something at one of our meetings, you can just give the calories away!

I've decided that it also counts if I eat lunch at my desk.

Hello everyone ...First let me say THANK YOU for all the well wishes , Its great to know in a internet world like this that people can come together and share.

Things went well , and for me was probably one of the hardest things I have had to do in what I consider still my young life ..LOL But I am back home in Vegas after making my peace and do feel that a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I have to be honest , the whole viewing thing was way creepy for me and I really didnt handle that well, but did make it through and couldnt wait to get back to hold my kids. I wish this man would have gotten to get to know his grandkids, but as I said I have made my peace and have forgiven him ...

I will be around a little today I still have MIL in town , but I at least wanted to write and say thank you all for being here and your nice wishes and prayers ...

pirate:

Welcome Home Todd! Glad you made it home safe and sound to your loving family. Hope you got some closure and glad you made your peace. We missed you around here!

I am DindelsPA. I, too, am a DISAHOLIC! Perhaps we should talk / type through our addiction? Kinda like group therapy?:rotfl2:

LOL! I thought that was the purpose of the Friends of Lisa G on the ship. :lmao: Maybe we need to start having meetings earlier? ;)

Bob Fosse left in his will the money for a huge party at Tavern on the Green and the guest list . . . said he didn't want anyone being sad, and wanted everyone to have a great party and tell stories about him (and there were plenty to tell).

But did people dance?

In their underwear?

Oh good, I have time. I started mine in 1998.

I've got a Fisherman's knit sweater I started in 1986. Still needs the sleeves.

do I win? do I win? huh? huh? :lmao:

At this rate - I'll have it done when DS9 enters high school! Geez, I better get working in it! Of course, he'll probably be the only person it'll fit by then! :rotfl2:

I think we better - DH had to remind me several times that this is supposed to be a vacation and I didn't need to plan every nanosecond:sad2:.

MR's back!

Hi MR - guess what I bought today? No - it's not a pair of croc's.

Ok being blonde here.. what are jimmies?? are they sprinkles by chance?? and do you guys know what white long johns are?? ummm someone go have one for me and tell me how good it was....

We call them jimmies in our neck of the woods, other areas call them sprinkles. Whatever floats your boat!!! ;) :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Jimmies people, they are Jimmies! :rolleyes1

Here is some history:

Never mind...go back & read John's post. He'll tell ya the whole history!

You win the prize. I have pillowcases that I've been working on since 1992 and a Christmas tablerunner since 1997.

Has anyone else seen the new movie, AMAZING GRACE?? We went to see tonight (the kids and I to give DH quiet to study). It was fabulous. Great history lesson for the boys. It was about Wilbur Wilford who fought to have slavery abolished throughout the British Empire in the 1800s. It was a clean movie that showed a great historical message . . . one man can make a difference.

But they don't understand that planning every nanosecond is part of the fun for "people like us". Planning is the cake, the vacation is the cherry on top!

First car -

DH: '71 Nova, which he totalled within 6 months, then he drove a 2-tone green '73 Mercury Monarch (held roughly 23 high school students)

Me: '87 Mercury Cougar XR-7 Turbo (this was '88)

Yeah, we grew up on different sides of the tracks.

I haven't even heard of it. Will have to add it to my DVD list.

Now that's charitable giving!! :thumbsup2

My mom's husband was admitted to the hospital Monday for some prostate problems. They did surgery on him today and my mom just called to say that he is currently on a ventilator. They have called in a pulmonary specialist and she is waiting for some news. Please say a few prayers for them.

Oh Paula I'm sorry about your Mother's husband. I'll say prayers for him.

Is that really what the Friends of Bill so and so on the navigators? It's a DIS AA meeting? I always wondered about that . . :rotfl:
