8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Part 7

I am not a happy camper right now. We have put Pergo type flooring in two rooms and I have done it myself since it is so easy with the lock and groove. We bought more for our bedroom and I just looked at it. Apparently it is more like (or IS0 hardwood and although it has a groove, it still has to be glued! I DON"T WANT TO GLUE!!!

I was expecting to be able to finish at least half the floor today, but looks like it is going to take a lot longer now... we can't even start for a few days because it has been sitting in the garage and needs to come to room temp first.

Sorry. Just had to gripe...

Now how do you use these lanyards? What do you attach to it to be able to put your KTTW in it and stuff? It just has a hook thingy at the end...

You can buy little clear card holders at walmart. They are usually hanging with the keychains.

My spouse boards her jet in 3 hours... then I pick her up tonight at about 10:45... well, really more like 11:15 as the jet has to park and she'll walk to the pick up point. So... for the next 11 hours I am on my own... but the kids are now in school... I was going to take them to see the doc about the coughing... plus myself as this morning we were all pretty "wounded" and feeling crappy with symptoms. Alas, chatting with another teacher today gave me the fortitude to cancel and stick it out a little longer. It is flu season - so I'm told - and what the kids and I have is not very serious sounding at all... so I was counseled.

And right now I am in the middle of my lunch and lurking while posting an occassional "aside".

Sorry to hear that you all aren't feeling well. My kids have colds as well. Sniffles. The weather has been horrible to boot. Today finally we got up to 48 degrees. This should warm everyone up a bit.

So did you decide. Giant Lobster or Giant Crab?

Not here. I have tried and tried and tried, looked over the entire store, asked many people including the store mgr, etc. and they just don't have them at our Walmart.

I don't really like lanyards either.
I started the pin trading thing and the whole lanyard w/pins on it deterred me from really getting in the pin trading- cause I couldn't stand wearing it!
About the only time I can stand wearing a lanyard is when it has a waterproof box thing on it and when I NEED that because I'm going in the water (ie: water parks, beach, etc.)

Any other time it just annoys me. Annoys my neck, annoys my chest. LOL

Ooooh! My DW just came back from Target with some pirate goodies for the kids. Pirate lanyard, pirate pencils, and mini pirate carry-all. She as you know follows this board religiously and was able to make these fantastic purchases with the help of you all, so i thank you.

I keep telling her to sign up, make a sig, but she is too shy.

And BIP, don't worry, we don't have to have a Rugby Queen, we were just joking. I have heard of this rugby custom but it's not widely practiced in the NY Metropolitan Rugby Union.
