Well - is there such a thing as pseudo-ketchup??? I am still missing all the pages between 27000ish and 31000ish - but I just caught up with everything from when I collapsed last night until now!:cool1: :thumbsup2

We're making our usual spring trip to WDW in June. It's possible we would have skipped this due to the "trip of a lifetime" next year and its cost - but we bought new APs in January before our last cruise and before we knew about what we would be doing in Aug 08. Since we have the passes, we're going to do the trip :rolleyes1 :woohoo:

Actually, I'm really excited. We were planning for 8 nights, but DH has just found out that there is a good chance his company is going to send him to Microsoft's TechEd conference (5 days in Orlando). By a weird stroke of luck - TechEd ends the day we were planning on flying down to Florida (after work). As long as we don't have more snow days, DS and I could fly down on the Tuesday and get 3 EXTRA DAYS of vacation! We could stay with DH, so no extra hotel cost. We were already planning to fly down on the Friday, so there isn't any extra cost there. We already have AP's, so no ticket costs. DS & I would get 3 extra days of vacation for pretty much the cost of our meals. How cool is that!?!? Of course, DH would have to be at the conference all day, but he could probably join us for dinner and evenings at a park. Plus, as soon as the conference ended on Friday he'd be on vacation and already there and ready to play. I'm going around with my fingers crossed hoping this really works out!

Pam he can get conference tickets at a big discount..

we are thinking of going to WDW during sprong break ( last week of March) are you gonna be there too??

Of Course silly me, since we are both from Chicago.. we don't need to get together in WDW>. LOL

We're planning on coming in on Sat. the 16th.

Us too.. we are leaving the kids with a sitter so we are planning on arriving Saturday night.. plus we have already been to DL and DCA a few times.. not like we wouldn't want to do DL but I am concerned about the kids so we are planning to get to LA later.

Hi geffric!!! Actually, not ALL conferences offer the cheap tickets - it is up to each conference if they want to offer that perk (I assume they have to pay WDW something in order to make them available...) However, since all 3 of us have our annual passes we bought in January, it doesn't really matter. That is part of what is so cool about this - extra days at WDW without much extra cost at all. DS & I usually split a counter service meal (he will be 8 in June - but he is skinny as a rail and doesn't really eat that much) so even the food costs for just the two of us won't be that bad.

We thought about going during Spring Break last year, but since the entire Chicago area seems to all have that last week of March for spring break- getting a reasonably priced flight was impossible! I'm just too cheap to pay more than double what we usually pay just to go that week.

Once the weather gets better, we need to plan a Chicago area meet. I've only seen a few of us here, but maybe if we plan something we'll flush out a lurker or two!

You are MUCH, much, much braver than me! I just got new PCs at our office and I deliberately bought them with xp Pro and the "free" Vista upgrade. I'm ordering the upgrade CDs, but I'm not brave enough to install it yet!

Well Good afternoon everyone ...I know I havent been around much cause the MIL has been in town and they left for Frisco yesterday , and Today I got the News that my real Father past away ...We were never really close but I knew him in my teens and early 20's ...I hadnt spoke to him in 14 years cause we had a fallen out ...I wont be around much over the Next week , I am flying up to Buffalo for the service on Monday , hopefully I will be back tuesday or Wednesday. I need to go back for myself for closure , I'm not going back for him or relatives as I have not really talked to anyone in that time as well ....I have mixed feelings , but I think I have to say goodbye for myself ...Melissa or the kids never knew him ....If I sound like I am rambling im sorry , I have had a world of emotions over the last few hours , but I knew I could come here and at least escape it for a moment ....Thanks For listening ...

Take Care of you!
I never knew my biological father, they divorced when I was 9 months old. But, my "Dad" has been with me since I was 4, I'm 49 now. I have no real interest in getting to know my father. That may sound cold to some, but I can't help the way that I feel.:confused3

We don't fly but drive and the road to WDW is packed with cars escaping the Chicago area and driving south..

Good idea on the Chi meet..

Haven't even done ours yet. Kevin is the world's Worst Procrastinator(sp).
Since I typically don't get them done until June ish, my goal this year is to have ready to go on April 16th. Yes, I know that is the day AFTER tax day, but I still standby the premise that we're less likely to get audited if you turn in the taxes a bit late . . .probably not true any more, but it is a good habit:thumbsup2

We have a family cabin (built by great-great uncle and currently owned by my parents) up in Northern Wisconsin. The 6/7 hour drive there convinced me years ago that I DO NOT want to drive any longer distances with DH :rotfl: . He is a "I'm driving from A to B and we're NOT stopping" kind of guy. If one complains enough, he'll stop for a rest area - but you get dirty looks and sighs the whole time! We did do a trip to Nashville a couple years ago - but I set it up that we had a couple intermediary goals on the way there. That way the "point A to B" distances were managable! If I did that for a drive to WDW, we would spend half the vacation driving there and the other half driving home! :lmao:

I'm sure glad I'm not driving anywhere tonight - it is really yucky out there! We are getting thunder-snow here. There is something a little scary about lightning/thunder and snow together....

My wonderful, kind, sweet DH braved the weather to pick up Chinese take-out for dinner so neither of us had to cook :cool1: :woohoo: :dance3:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Someone stole DH sneakers:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Dh just called and told me someone stole his sneakers. I find this hysterical. He was skiing today and couldnt fit them in the locker so he put them on top. who whould steal someone elses dirty sneakers???? Its not like they are fancy expensive latest greatest sneakers. DH is slightly stuck in the 80's and still wears only black Fila sneakers.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I cant stop laughing.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Our stinky teens say....get a two bedroom villa!!! The nerve :lmao: What do they think we're made of money? Maybe we should just pick some money off the money tree in the yard. Well, it's official...I've become my Mother :lmao:

"Mirror, mirror on the wall, I am my Mother after all":rotfl2:
