Take Care Todd, you will be in our thoughts. I went many years without seeing my birth father, but we did reconnect a few years before he passed in 2002. I trust you find the closure you need, I know it helped me. We didn't have a falling out, he was just never around much after my mom and he divorced when I was 2 years old. He remarried, had other kids, and didn't bother keeping in touch with my sister and I.

We go to Ikea just for the Meatballs. I am not all that thrilled with the quality of their furniture. I love to collect their kitchen gadgets.
I think we had one of the first Ikea's in the country. Several years ago, Ikea put on a huge addtion.

I've never really gotten the Ikea craze myself. We just had one open in our Village and it is always crowded. SWMBO's basement sewing area is decorated in early-IKEA (Billy bookshelves, Fakturist tables, etc.) but that was b/c it was cheap, not b/c it was stylish. The quality is really poor IMNSHO, but I guess you get what you pay for.

She posted what it meant a while back. Something about her name is O'B and she was doing some thing to play on OKW at WDW and then I made a left turn and got lost and didn't follow.

I am thinking that this is one deck party that we are going to miss. I would like to try to bring the tripod with us so that we can get some steady shots of the sailaway as well as lots of other opps during the cruise. Maybe I can find a travel sized one on special somewhere. The one we have is a bit heavy.

..of course, bbb gal, that's makes prefect sense! [when
does a mother stop worrying about her kids...never!]. i just got
the feeling ,she well prepared. pssst ,tell your husband -40-
is a "baby" to me!

oh, my..this site is educational, as for ongoing fight, with the principle-
it's your kids ! --for not being shu off! again, i can never
over stressed how important this is!!! * then this stuff for lil girls...
the underlying principle sounded solid..but i am really concerned of the
unknown consequences.....i have a lil ! my wife, is
my soul mate...and childen is our future. no ! no ! state enforcment,
..we all heading for trouble....giving this type of enpowerment...
already there's something wrong- with the dramtic increases of autism
cases! ..esp. if those awful tv comm. are accurate? [ 1 in 160]. it
seem we are focusing on these lab. results/scientific advancements,
while we are not improving the basics...like having professionals
that know what they're doing instead of faking it!

the ob nurse we had , had no business working , she had no idea
what she was doing! [ came from the nursey ]...he was over 2-weeks
over dued..but our ob dr. "reasoned the dates off"..however,this was not
the case..and it almost cost us our son's life! then he [dr.], committed
a major blunder..he placed her on a "pitocin drip" & thought he had enough
time to go home and eat....he was wrong again! he not only place my
precious baby in danger, but the most important person in my life...
my lil'miss cutie pie. , oh my god!...[iam still shaking from this],
2 things saved both of them..my wife's unbelievable "will" power and
her love for our son....this ignorant nurse....was more interested in
getting the 15 students inside, the "so called birthing room" ..that's right!
we're were trying for a more "realxing-intimate experience"..that quickly
turned into a life/death scenerio... the students were not suposed to
been allowed but we had our hands full....however, my wife's bursted
into a scream... ( that's smilie dosen't even begin to come
close)

that literally had them all running out the doors!...i already had shouted
to the deleivery rn..."get your butt on the phone and called that
neglient piece of sxxxhead, to get here as fast as you can! "...me ? i am
now between my wife's legs.. .."honey, we 're in deep trouble and
i can't help- what you must now do...or he's going to die! she was pure
concentration --* remember she does not have any control over
her contractions and the pit drip that was producing..way above
normal ones & ... yet she { },
manuevered "him" and got him out /crowning position -when the lousy ob
came in. so now, when i say my lil'miss cutie pie = something very
special, this is one of the best of all .... he was all wrinkled from head
to toes, zero..[can't think]...white covering/chesse like, m. stained..& so
forth, ....then his head!
he was off the charts! he had grown to much, to early --so his head
didn't hit up against the cervix, to trigger normal labor...how she
[my lovely wife... ] pull this off...is the biggest miracle i ever
seen [ remember , i worked ob for 3 years..& was part of some
amazing births.. ob, is on stressful placed! ]. sure, it was
embarrassing when our miracle baby was barred from the nursey....for
making to much racket...[he was soild foods..before they left the
hospital]..but we'll take him!

ok, here,...i have lil' knowledge of the whole picture..but, if they're
talking about the hep. virus, causing way elevated numbers of
cancers..then they need to look at transmissions? totally
in the dark, but where 's common sense?...have they considered
education/ hand washing for the partners, before appliances
insertion..even hygiene measures..placing barriers to protect the cervix...
maybe, all that is needed?..drug companies , and our babies' best interests..
noooooo! not saying they 're not meaning to hurt us , but parents are the
protectors, i trust ! period!

hand washing, hand washing..hand washing!!! & then there all kind
of issues needing addessing..body piercing, food processing, this type
of focus is jumping out, so have they mentioned these things.
what we 're talking about is our future..our children and their needs!

i'm sorry to have lectured,
but my god..there are dangerous people who don't give a D.! no
way ! should government of any kind being doing this...it is alarming
to me cos of the disasters it can create.

Well Good afternoon everyone ...I know I havent been around much cause the MIL has been in town and they left for Frisco yesterday , and Today I got the News that my real Father past away ...We were never really close but I knew him in my teens and early 20's ...I hadnt spoke to him in 14 years cause we had a fallen out ...I wont be around much over the Next week , I am flying up to Buffalo for the service on Monday , hopefully I will be back tuesday or Wednesday. I need to go back for myself for closure , I'm not going back for him or relatives as I have not really talked to anyone in that time as well ....I have mixed feelings , but I think I have to say goodbye for myself ...Melissa or the kids never knew him ....If I sound like I am rambling im sorry , I have had a world of emotions over the last few hours , but I knew I could come here and at least escape it for a moment ....Thanks For listening ...

I was sooooo excited when an Ikea opened up in Mass last year. It's about an hour from here, but we made the trek once so far & there's an Olive Garden right nearby. I also don't have one of those in the area & I love Olive Garden. Anyway, I think you do have to watch some of the products, but I really like all those storage units they sell & I like how the couches come with slipcovers that you can just toss in the wash. I'm heading there when we buy our next house, because I've decided that one thing my next house is going to have is a LOT of storage. I hate the clutter in this house.

I like cake..

I thought of you yesterday.....we went to the school's Winter carnival. I made a cake for the cake walk. I went with a Cookies & Cream cake....I think you would have been pleased.

Unfortunately, the closest I came to tasting it was just smelling it bake. That was torture!

I don't like cake walks. We did one for Cub Scouts in the fall and my son came up with the idea for a train cake, so we found this cool train pan at Williams-Sonoma and he decorated it all up for Christmas and then in the cake walk, we ended up with what appeared to be a store-bought cake (against the rules). My son was really upset b/c of all the work he put into his. So we made another one that weekend.

I'll have to dig up a picture.
