If the shot was better tested i wouldn't have a problem with it.....

But do to the lack of testing....Sorry couldn't make my kid a guinea pig...

I'm still against the Chicken pox vaccine.... Luckily DD had them neturally two months before the vaccine was available.

They still don't have that one right.... Many kids are still getting it....and i mean full blown cases. i saw one a couple years ago. (He was a brother to one of the girls dd twirls with.)

Alright, just what "new" vaccine are you two talking about?

Oh! This Grey's is very good. Very emotional.
I heard Kate Walsh is getting her own spin off show. Wonder if McSteamy will go with her.

Good riddence IMO. I didn't like Addison at first but she has grown on me...especially tonight. It was another wringer. :guilty:

OK, since I am on a mini-roll here- I am 5' 3 1/2 and DH is 6'2.
I am too glued to GA to concentrate on taking my computer down.
Also, I went to see the Oprah special. Yal might be stuck w/ me for a little bit.

I turned off Oprah. BORING! :sad2:

Sorry ... I'm jumping in here without reading the back postings ... Are you talking about the Twinrix shots for Hep A&B. I hope everyone seriously considers this, as Hepatitis can really ruin a vacation for you and your family at home.

I started the process to get mine this year so I'm well prepared for the repo, and I don't have to worry in Europe (they say the countries in the Med we are visiting are very low risk, but I prefer no risk). I was in for a sticker shock when I found that the shots weren't covered by our provincial health care. It stuns me that they will cover the thousands of dollars to heal me after I get the disease, but won't cover the $100 to prevent me from getting it? :confused3 My daughter was spared, as they decided to immunize all kids in Grade 7 & 8 this year for Hep B. She only needs the Hep A shot!

I didn't like her either. But she has grown on me too.

ACK! Where are my smilies!!! :sad2:

I received a call this evening from RCCL, but DH didn't answer the other line so I missed the call. When I call the number back, I just get a busy signal. I have a cruised booked with them for this August. What if they were calling with something important? Why can't he ever answer the other line???

Dh wont answer the phone here at all. He can be next to it in the kitchen & I have to get up & go in there if I want to know who it is.

There are many states pushing legislation to make it mandatory for girls as young as 5th grade to get the new vacine for cervical cancer in order to attend school. The pharmacutical company was pushing it too but has backe off. The problem is this is for a virus that is a STD and it is relatively new. I also heard on the View that it is very expensive & most insurance companies are not covering it. I think that it was $200 for three shots that are needed to be completely protected.

I thought the Hep. shots were part of the infant shots. And I think later that Adam DS got a boster around middle school. He did get the Meningitis vacine last year that was new.

No, I don't have a problem having the family get the Hep shots for this cruise...and we will all get them. I will have to contact BCBS to find out what they do for that.

Mine is the same

It may be different in the States but here it is not mandatory. They just started offering them to school students three years ago (for Hep B only).

I forgot to share my Tarjay finds yesterday!!! I was so excited about them too!!! I went in to get that new Listerine rinse for the kids that leaves color where they didn't brush well enough. As long as I was there...I looked to see if there was anything left from the 90% markdown on Vday stuff Monday. They just put the 90% up that morning!!!! There was still a lot left. :)

I had stopped in girl's clothes first & found a demin jacket with the heart tags...1.49. In the back I found gift bags .19, polor bear stuffed animals .69, nice red mugs .59, a kelly doll cupid .49, sweetheart boxes for the kid's classes next year .19 for 8 boxes, dark chocolate expresso bars for DH .20 (can't believe anyone actually paid $2 for them...must have used the coupon online before this!), denim skirt .99, 2 peasant tops for DD .89. Non Vday stuff...the bedding is marked down for the new reset. I only saw one set of the jersey sheets...had the knomes on them...DS laughs at them in the AR commercials at the end for travelocity. :lmao: They were only 50% > 14.98 now but lots of twin sheets to wait for DD's room. I went thru the rest of the store looking for other hidden deals...IOW things that someone stashed so that they could get them at the 90% mark down. ;) I found 2 more red mugs, 2 packs of heart shaped paper plates .22, and a 200 picture photo album that matches some of the others that I always get for our cruise pictures 1.29!!!! Oh, I also found a ton of the Ponds facial wipes 60 of them marked down to 1.68! :)

I didn't go today...no need. ;)

I want a Target!!!
