Today it was get to the store or starve. I figured since it wasn't Lent yet, we were getting to the store.

Thanks for the tissue alert. My heart was breaking for you & Hazel. I can never imagine going through what you have been through.

Since you mentioned CHOP, I hope the care they gave BJ is as wondeful as the care they have given my nephew, its my cousins son(believe it our not his name is TJ. We do the CHOP cancer walk every Sept in Philly. Tj was diagnosed several years ago with a brain tumor. After several brain surgeries and a heavy Chemo he was cancer free for 9 months. Then it came back. Full cranial & spinal radiation...and so far so good. His last few MRI's have been crystal clear. He will be celebrating his 8th bithday this summer. TJ and my Devin are only months apart and they are best buds. Tj is doing extremely well. We just keep hoping and praying he remains disease free.
What CHOP has done for him and his family is a miracle. It truly is a wonderful childrens hospital.

CHOP was absolutely wonderful with BJ and us. We couldn't have asked for better care. They even gave us a card with some of BJ's hair taped in it, along with her footprint stamped on the card, and wrote the words, "You are the Wind Beneath My Wings" in the card.

That's okay. Have you had the misfortune of seeing thinks like MTVs My Super Sweet 16? All that matters is she has confidence in herself. An overblown ego would be much worse to deal with!

Back from the Ortho Specialist with DD's hip.........Looks like more MRI's.........this time with dye to read bone and cartilage definition........

Poor thing just wants to be better...........more tests............more waiting

Sorry to hear that you didn't get any real answers today.

Do you feel like the doctors are heading in the right direction? If not, then maybe it's time to consider having someone else take a look. Sometimes it just takes a fresh set of eyes or slightly different clinical experience to get to an "a-ha!" moment that will make all the difference.

Hoping that your DD is feeling better soon!

The ice is so solid that the kids can sled down it on their tummies--Frosty the Snowman style--without a sled. We need to make sure that they can stop before they end up in the stream...again.

Unfortunately, there have been lots of serious accidents & injuries from kids sledding on the packed snow & ice because it is just so FAST. One boy couldn't stop in time & ended up in the traffic lane, and ultimately under the wheels of a truck. Lots of other little ones have been airlifted to the University hospital with head injuries from hitting fences, trees, etc.

The weather is supposed to warm up later this week, so I'm hopeful that we'll be seeing our driveway again soon. Our road is in passable condition--it's just the 1000 ft uphill both ways driveway that is the problem.

No, I haven't seen that.

If anything Angelina has a low self esteem, something we have been dealing with over the years, but luckily, we are making progress!!!
