Wow I had no idea. Isn't Candlemas the feast of St. Blaze when you get your throat blessed and they hold two candles on either side of it, sort of in an X shape?

I'm about to start the candy scavenge here, but supplies are low due to the icebound situation.

Heaven help me when I finally see the candy aisle at the Walmart SuperCenter.

I only stock up after Halloween when Tarjay hits 75%...some at 90%. The CMs love to see me coming into the club with big bags of candy.
