OMGoodness.....that is what my dd is into too!!!! And all of her friends at school love them as well. They all bring a few pets from home and play together at recess.

the girls in DD's class are crazy about them too!!! Luckily, they are pretty affordable - and easy to fit in the backpack for recess. DD also has never been that crazy about dolls - the Barbies only come out to add to the LP play and they rarely see the dollhouse because the LPs have taken over!!! There have been some birthdays/holidays where DD would be perfectly happy to get LPs and nothing else.:)

Hi everyone!

Family and I are cruising and looking for a few hundred friends :yay:

I tried to jump in when this thread was still under a thousand pages but couldn't find any responses so i gave up..lol

At the risk of being redundant cause I can't remember what I posted I am reintroducing myself and my family.

Crusing will be DH and I with our 2 DDs ages 4 and 13 at cruising time:banana: Would love for DD to hook up with someone her age before hand. DD (12) is a serious student and bit if a tomboy. Other DD is a disney fanatic already and just loves everything disney (takes after her Mama.lol).
Along for the ride is my Mom. This will be our 2nd panama crossing with Disney and can't wait to do it all over again.

Now, if i can only keep up with you guys....

Mary

Welcome Aboard!

They are just so darned expensive! DD4 got to go to the store last year for her birthday and was angling to go again but we had to say no. She does love her doll though. Lucikly, you can buy dresses at Wal-Mart that fit well enough and she doesn't care as long as they are pretty.

You're right...they are expensive. BUT...my dd plays with them so much, I think it has been worth it. And, she takes good care of them and plans to pass them on to "her daughter" one day.

We have also bought clothes for her AG dolls at Target, but it doesn't look like they carry them anymore.

Hi Belle,

another New Yorker...thanks for the greeting...when i saw you are from ny i couldn't help but sing to myself...its a small world afterall....lalala...sorry couldn't resist

Mary,

Where in Queens are you? I'm originally from LIC/Astoria/Jackson Hts.

Same for my DS. He has four or five t-shirts that he wears and 500 in a drawer. And he has no sense for coordination. Those who were on the 10-day HC will recall me describing his 'fashion sense' as looking like he is dressing for the golf course. (What do you mean vertical lime green stripes don't go with plaid, Dad?)

Yes....mine too! They need Garanimals!

I know I'm late to this topic but we have a fancy McD's near us. It is a jazz theme and has a lot of booths and even has a couple of leather chairs and a fire place! It seems to fancy to be a McDonalds. It is a franchise. The one nearest our house has an underwater fish theme, but it needs to be redone.

we have 2 themed ones here - not fancy though. One is themed to Syracuse Orangemen and is done very nicely - with TV monitors showing sports, news, and Nick. The other is done up like one of the old, original McD's ...with a jukebox, the things at the table to play the jukebox, and 50's music memorabilia. We like to go to this one because they do alot of fund raising for our schools. :)

Please explain what these 'littlest pests' things are. I need to know so I can steer DD away from them. She does not need another toy obsession.

:rotfl: Yes...you could call them that too!

They are The Littlest Pet Shop toys. They're pretty harmless, as they are very inexpensive and the pets themselves don't take up a lot of room.

Jar of Fluff would be appropriate, however it is going to need to undergo an alteration in order to fit with the theme of the thread.

Grab you jar of Fluff and follow these 3 easy steps:

Step #1 - Remove Fluff
Step #2 - Insert dirt
Step #3 - dance around chanting, "I've got a jar of dirt!"

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

The scales are for weighing their balls before the match to be sure they are regulation.

:rotfl: :rotfl: oh my!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

RUGBY balls, people. RUGBY balls. We used to have to weigh our balls before basketball games in high school to be sure they were inflated properly.

I'm just digging a deeper hole, aren't I.

Oh, never mind.

not sure if this has been discussed...

if anyone is wanting a postcard sent to their children prior to leaving from california/dl, (like the ones verandaman does from florida...which he did for our 2 DSs...thank you!) i would be more than happy to do it. just a thought...:flower:

That is very nice of you to offer to do this. I will add your name to the front page as the contact person for this. :thumbsup2

Well just for grins I called the CC member number and tried to get our GTYs changed to assigned rooms.......Sstrrrike One - The nice & polite CM effectively said "they'll get assigned when they get assigned" :rolleyes1

I'll try again tomorrow.

Andy

Just got a weather update - we know have blizzard warning's from 6 pm tonight until 6 am Thursday morning - looks like we are going to be getting a typical N'oreaster with 18-36 inches forecasted for the Capital Region of NY north and western MA.

Batten down the hatches everyone - make sure you get all your supplies (like toilet paper, milk, bread and eggs - though I prefer a big bottle of vodka and cranberry juice) and hunker down for the duration.

Caught up on the thread again:

I drove from the "entrance" on Harbor Blvd of DLR to the Courtyard today, I was curious to see how far it really was, it's .8 of a mile. So on a map that should help with distance of other hotels. The Anabella is .4of a mile of the Grand Californian.

Thank you! :) That isn't too bad, considering how much walking we are use to doing at WDW.

I could of swore I read somewhere that the WB Repo was sold out too, but I just checked the DCL site and they have availability in all categories except 6.

I love the American Girl dolls too! DD likes the idea of having them, but she rarely plays with them, so I am usually torn on whether or not to buy anything more. She likes to change the outfit and put her back in her stand, but that's it. MAybe that's enough for her. There is also Carpatina...they are affiliated with AG somehow and make nice outfits that fit the AG dolls.

I've never heard of them....where do you buy them?

here they are talking about more Lake Effect to follow the N'oreaster - 1 to 2 feet...for us this time, not just up North where they have beeen getting nailed.
