I can't believe that I am still awake!!! Off to bed but just wanted to say that my DH is the sweetest!!! They took me out for dinner tonight & gave me a GC to a nice day spa here. :) It is going to be rough getting the kids to CCD in time tomorrow...well later this morning. Night all! :)

You will have to tell us all about your spa day! I'm glad you had a nice and special time last night.:goodvibes

Wow , are you missing the point here or what ...there is no in "TROUBLE" it doesnt matter to me if someone wants to wear the same dress as ES again I am talking to the few that want to go all out in get into detail like me ...If people want to Dress up as CJS please do so ...I do it cause I enjoy it , and if others want to enjoy it as well , I would never say "your in Trouble" cause you wore something like me ...I dont have the Staple on CJS at all nor would I ever say , you cant wear that cause I am ..please ... All I am trying to say is there are people like me that actually get into the Characters ...I dont just wear the costume I try to become the Character ...call me wierd but thats just me ...

Finally, after 3 hours, I'm all caught up!!! Now it's time to get some breakfast and wake Hazel up so she start getting ready for church.

I just skimmed it.

Not much happening over night.

- Costume talk and trying to avoid duplication
- Hotels near DL (I for one hope they do transportation from there)
- Doing away with "mini" pirate races
- And the A to Z Disney game to get them to 18K.
- Andrew "Andrew DEREK UK" got the 18K Pirate.

I think that's about all I missed since I went to bed.

Yea, woke up a little after 4am this morning, it's a curse being a morning person, especially in this house. Hazel usually sleeps until about 10am and Angelina will sleep in until noon some days, even though we start waking her up around 11am on the weekends and summer.

Thought so

Who got the 18K????

MORNING

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

Seven year old boy goes on a Disney cruise for the first time,
On the first afternoon on the ship, he and dad are alone, mum unpacking.

During this quality time together the boy has a question.

Dad, what is it called when two people are in the same bed on top of each other?

Dad a bit surprised by the sons question, goes on to gently explain,
Its called making love and its how babies are made.

He later goes back to the stateroom comes back after that and says,

Dad the thing we were talking about is called bunk beds and mum wants a word with you.

:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Too cute!!:goodvibes

Hey Caroline-
I'm just posting a random thought so you can reply in real time!

So...

Why is Goofy (a dog) Mickey's best friend, and Pluto (a dog) Mickey's pet?

Well, this isn't real time, sorry... usually just try to catch up without reading what else is going at the time. Afraid i will get caught up in the moment and never catch up. Call me strange, but I did this last time too, but I was able to be on with others then too as catching up usually consisted of no more than an hour, usually less.

So, did you give the answer or was it a hypothetical question? I always wondered that though.:goodvibes

Morning everyone!
Wow tooo many posts. Just kept skipping my way thru. Glad to see we are getting info on the hotels.
Had a great time at the Billy Joel Concert last night. Poor DH, even tho he was on the aisle seat, his knees started cramping up on him 1/2 way thru. Had to get someone to help him on his feet.:thumbsup2 He was worried someone may think he was drunk
Anyway, work today for me.Too bad I can't catch up during the day as I'm sure this post will be way ahead when I get home.
Those outfits look great. May have to dig out the sewing machine:lmao:

On a serious note... which do you all think would be better, if we plan on going to DL for a day or two before the cruise... staying on DL property then going to the port on embarkation day or staying on DL property until the night before cruise then staying somewhere closer to the port? I'm not sure of the logistics of how far away DL is from the port to know if it would be worth the effort to stay somewhere closer to the port the night before, or not.

And another question, one that I could probably research on my own but interested in those with experience.. if you were going to DL before the cruise and anticipated this would be the ONLY time you go to DL, which resort would you stay at?

This will our first (and most likely only) trip to Disneyland.

We're flying out of New York as early as we can on Wednesday, August 13. That way we'll have 3 whole days to tour the Disneyland parks and one day to do a LA tour.

I booked our offsite hotel before I booked the cruise.:rotfl2: Since the offsite hotels are so close to the parks, I decided not to book onsite. That's something I'd never do at WDW.

I think it was at the GC they had the DCL booth set up, where they went over your transfers and I believe they checked over all of our documents. It is probably not so much an issue with the on-line check-in now. But whenever we have stayed at the Hyatt before a cruise DCL always has a fairly time consuming check-in before the buses wisk us away to port. It was nice not to have to go through that in Cal.
Paula

I wonder if you can use this check in area if you're staying off site?:confused3

We have lots of leftover days for WDW parks but nada for DL obviously. LOL

You can use WDW park passes to get into Disneyland.
