Hi everyone- My family will be joining you on the EB Repo as well. We were on board the Magic on the 31st, so we booked while on board- Actually I was at the pool while Leslie, the sales manager, booked for me! I have been lurking the boards almost daily since our first cruise in 06, but i rarely post as most questions are usually answered already! On the repo, it will be myself, DH, DD now 6 and DS now 3. I just hope I can keep up with the posts. When I returned last week, I never dreamed the thread would be this long! Better jump in now before I really get behind. Looking forward to cruising with such a great group!:yay:

WELCOME ABOARD!!!!
I was just too wrapped up in my frustration for no room number yet. You win the prize for the greatest of ease booking.:woohoo:

Seeing how this thread has taken on a life of its own. What do you guys think of starting part 2 just for planning ideas? :confused3 We could leave this thread to get to know each other, which is very difficult now with the number of posts everyday. :jumping1: :disrocks:

Nice idea but ones hard enough to keep up with, howabout listing information at the front?

We'll have a separate website for that. Check out the first post for Lisa's (lbgraves) email and send your info off to her. She'll give you the link to the website.

So how did you finally tell them? I'm looking for ideas. For our first WDW trip, I had everything packed. Woke my son up for the flight. He kept asking why I made him get up so early on a Sat. I just told him we had things to do. (Yeah at 5am!). When he finally made it into the living room, there was a Disneyworld for Kids book next to his coat. Took him a while, but then he started jumping around the room so excited. Wish I had it on video!

I had a series of packages for them to open. The first one contained a card that said "You", second one "are", third one "going on" and fourth one had a framed picture on the ship with a card attatched to it that said " a Disney cruise!". My ds went NUTS! they had been asking to take a Disney cruise, and we kept telling them..."oh maybe someday"...my dd didn't put it all together right away, but ds did....he was jumping all over the place. And the extra bonus was....all week long on the cruise, they kept saying "oh thank you mom and dad for taking us on this cruise!" I think they were still in shock for days!

DL paris is far closer to me just a train ride away. It is very good far smaller than WDW and a little bit smaller than DL CL, the rides are good.

Disneyland there is a full park, think MK at WDW, and Studios is a small version of MGM, but they test out rides here, and shoes, Lights cameras action came from DLP, then MGM, the backlott ride is small, but SPACE MOUNTAIN is the best one ( think more like Rock an roll rollacoster), Big Thunder mountain is better than WDW and DL, the ride is mostly on an island but the train goes under the water of the lake both at the start and the end, very good very dark!

Downtown disney is small, everything is compact, easy to walk to and the train station is under all of it, so 40 mins to cetral Paris.

I stayed in hotel New York, nice building easy walk through Downtown disney to the parks, the pool was good but cold and we had an inluded breakfast each morning that could be traded up to a character meal in the parks.

The Character meals are in my opinion not as good as WDW, few characters.

But its less of a endurance test than WDW, and easy to get around, Parades are good.

As usual you are a fount of information. This is helpful. I'm trying to decide on adding some days at DLP before the Med cruise.

You can do it in two good days, worth going by RER train to Paris as well while you are there. Plus lots of new rides this year and a new parade for its 15th Birthday.

Sounds wonderful.

Welcome Aboard!!! :grouphug:

party:

Do the best you can with the posts! Try page 1 for a summary. My DD is now 7 and is always looking for new friends! :flower3:

I cannot keep up with the thread but did catch this post and love this idea - what about visors?

also - I know long ago everyone discussed trip insurance, can anyone point me to the posts? Search is not very friendly to me these days. Thanks!

Cool idea about the visors! If we get a fair consensus that folks are interested, I'd be more than happy to start researching!

Oh my goodness!!!!
I am officially writing to say Hello!!! I swore to myself, " Self, you can't post until you have read all the posts so you know what you are talking about" Today I told myself "the H E double toothpicks with that because the thread moves to fast that by the time some one reads what I write it won't matter if I don't have a clue what I said"
Now that I have totally confused myself, let me introduce myself.
My name is Laura and my husband Mark has just booked us on this cruise. I am sure that he has posted that we booked but darned if I can find where it is in the multitude of wonderful discussions going on here. His screen name is Disneypilots, in case we ever get to post again.
We are traveling with our DD who will be 17 and an entering her senior year the week after the cruise and our DS who will be 15 and probably wanting us to drive to LA so he can get in his miles to earn his Drivers license. Also, traveling with us will by my MIL and FIL.
Can't wait to meet all of you wonderful pirates and wenches, swabbies too. I do have to say that I am looking forward to meeting Todd as he has claimed the role of "THE" Pirate for this cruise, however, my DH has been calling himself Pirate for years now and will all ways be the true Pirate in my heart. I guess I will have to make us costumes. BTW I have two live parrots if someone wants to figure out how to smuggle them onto the ship for their costumes. Can't guarantee you won't need an eye patch afterward however.
I started to read the posts and read 250 yesterday and was heading for more today but real life keeps interfering. Hate that.

Here's my recap info.

:) Met DH at a wedding....long story.
:) I would be Doc if I was a Dwarf because he tends to mix up his words and I spend half my typing time doing corrections.
:) There was discussion on Lego's. Love Lego's. I coached a Lego Robotics team for 5 years. Even won a few 1st place trophies.
:) I say pah-cahn
:) love soft serve ice cream with sprinkles
:) was desperately in love with Leif Garrett, gotta love Tiger Beat mag.
:) Love motorcycles, DH has a Anniversary Harley Softtail. I think that might have been a discussion I missed but saw it in the recaps.
:) Love Crashes pictures and Andy's smilies.
:) Can't get enough of Target and gotta have the sales at Wal-marts too.
:) We have been to Aruba and will gladly give you directions to the bars. Or you could just take the Jolly Pirates cruise. The best time.
:) Be glad to bring some batteries or maybe just the rum.
:) Don't have a tattoo but would love to see others, to get ideas of course:rolleyes1
:) I don't care much for lime green but would gladly be tagged with a bracelet. Will need to read more to figure details on how to get those.
:) Love all the pictures, from weddings to pirates to green shirts
:) Think that Todd has an awesome talent for graphic designs. Very impressive.
:) My screen name comes from the fact that my dream job would to be The Fairy Godmother. Gotta love that wand!!!!!
:) Hope I can do a zip line.
:) if Downrivermama is still around, Howdy neighbor!!!
:) Gotta have ispell to edit your posts since there isn't spell check here.
:) Don't care when I eat, as long as there is food. After dieting to get into a bathing suit, I will be ready for any seating.
:) I am definitely ON THE LIST!!!!!
and by the way TAKE WHAT YOU CAN!!!!

whew, thats it for now. need a nap or a massage or a drink, or well.. maybe I will just read some more posts.

Wow, I hope that covers it for now.
