Sorry, I was posting when your posts were coming up.

I didn't go as far as to see what they were offering for the room availability.

I bet is was just one room/booking available.

I'm hoping that things start to open in the next couple of days. Deposits on the WL ressies should be due pretty soon.

I sure hope so too!

Ok. So are jughandles a Jersey thing?? At least we are getting rid of most circles!!

Roundabouts (traffice circles) I can handle easily. But from that first fateful day that I (mistakenly) crossed the Ben Franklin....well, let's just say I was in for it when I tried to pump my own gas :sad2: You should have seen the attendant!

And then when I came to one of those "ALL TURNS FROM RIGHT LANE" intersections...well, I had no idea what that meant!

Not exactly something you'd see in California or Texas! :upsidedow

Hi everyone!:surfweb:

Is everyone staying warm? I too am going to put my tax refund into a CD where I cannot touch it and hopefully have a llittle extra for the tips and excursions.

I tried to go on the DCL web site and it stated temporarily unavailable. Maybe they are assigning all the GTY rooms.!!

I can only hope!

Karen--I tried getting on the DCL website at 4am this morning to check my ressie, couldn't get on then either, same thing, temporarily unavailable. :confused3

Nothing showing for 2A or 2A2K for me at 11:31 am. :confused3

If you have a GTY, you can't call in & request or choose a stateroom. :sad1:

Lisa...

... it seems to me as if a LOT of people got guarantees. Out of my 9 cabins 6 are guarantees! Some of these inexplicably have LOWER reservation numbers than the resies with assignments!

I wonder if the system didn't give guarantees because it was set not to hold cabins very long for folks making reservations on line? Thus - the fastest way to grab a fare was to forego selecting a cabin in the booking process? :confused3

We know they must have lots of cabins to assign us...

Wouldn't you think that one week should be sufficient time to assign the cabins? :sad2: Especially when DCL can see who has the deposits down on the ressies. I can understand for the mad rush last week why it wouldn't let you pick a specific stateroom, but it should've been cleared by now. :headache:

Can someone please help me with this?

If I were making a left through the jughandle turn following this diagram, wouldn't that put me head-on in the oncoming traffic lane? I'm thinking I should be in the far right lane instead? :confused3

On the original site the diagram came from, the north-south road is a one way (heading north) road hence the car turns left into the left lane. But you're right, had it been a two way road then the car would have turned into the right lane (without stopping in the case of NM :rotfl2:)

We actually have a few intersections using the circle things. One in Santa Barbara atthe end of Milpas and the 101 freeway... and another I recall in Long Beach on PCH.

So... has anyone noticed anything wrong with the animated round-about thing above?

What a classic line preteen line from your 11 yo . . .LOL.
My very motivated DS12 has been going through the same thing. It is so frustrating. Even more so for DH.

DS12 has played well at baseball since age 6. Suddenly he doesn't even want to swing the bat at the batting cage. He says he wants to play, but puts no effort into it. In the past, he would go in the backyard on his own and hit 30-50 balls a day. He also practiced his pitching daily. All of this was on his own . . .because he wanted to (we're not trying to push him). Not sure what to do it at this point . . .

Oh and remember the Japanese need to be exposed to our crazy homes . . .LOL.

Yes, very classic line, indeed. Try your guilt trip at the next window, please :rolleyes1 .

And I know it's only the beginning of my teenage journey :crazy2: :crazy2:

Yea, the cars are driving on the opposite side of the road then what we drive on here in the US.

I don't think we're going to get assignments anytime soon. I'm becoming resigned to it - as long as I have a place on the darn boat I'm happy. After all, this is a "TRIP OF A LIFETIME"

Contradictory to conventional wisdom.... the folks who paid the least should get their CHOICE of cabin 1st - not a random assignment. Especially not after the sums we've put out! Not to be huffy... but the least they should do is let us select our cabins from a short list.

Aside from that... it's NOT all that contradictory - since those paying least also hold the trump card of having reserved/paid 1st.

I gotta run the kids to school now

TTFN!

Time to grab some lunch, Hazel is off food shopping this morning at BJ's, then had to go next door at Target to get a Baby Shower gift. I'll check back in later guys.

Hi everyone! Finally caught up. Hope all the headaches have resolved:)
Have the evening shift at work today so will be around till then. Warming up here also. Only 14 degrees this morning.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
I really hope DCL can resolve this and soon. I am very happy to be on the EB repo, don't get me wrong, but you'd think they'd have it together by now. Didn't they learn after the last fiasco? :confused3

Can someone tell me more about these stateroom credit "cards"? My parents are travelling with us, and my siblings and I would like to give my dad $ for the Cabo golf outing. It would be nice to present him with a gift card or something, rather than a check and say "put that towards your excursion".

BTW....anyone else looking at this golf outing? He'd be going alone....not that that would bother him. I'd assume Disney could match him up with someone else going on the excursion. **Hopefully not a hacker--dad doesn't have patience for that :rolleyes1

Also wondering if the excursion price would include club rental?? If any of our PC 2005 vets knows anything about this....I'd sure appreciate it.

Andrew--Did Alice have her surgery today? Hope everything went well!

We're still at GTY, but have been moved to early dining, so they must be doing something at DCL.

What you can do is call the DCL gift department and tell them you want to put money down for a room credit. They will ask you what you want to put on the card.

You will need the ressie # and/or cabin number and sailing date. Along with the person's name on the room. Don't want that money going to someone else. :scared1: Although, I'm sure they'd appreciate it.
