That will be great and a huge weight of loads of cruisers minds if they do, if it came from AST then that should be acurate information.

Yes, they do have much experience with DCL, some of the rooms assigned to our party are not up on the DCL site, they call the individual to let them know what room assignment they received.

Yep! That's what I was planning to do. My boss' boss called me (about 45 minutes before my boss called me), and asked me if I knew where he was. Since this was before I talked to my boss, I really had no clue where he was. His boss asked me if he was in a meeting, and I just said "That's possible. I'm really not sure where he is..."

But if he (oranyone else) calls wanting to know his whereabouts, I don't feel comfortable telling them one way or another. So I will just take a message. :sad2:

I think that's the best option. Don't offer up anything, just that he's not here right now and you'll take a message.

I was thinking of waiting until May, after I've made final payment. That way there's no backing out. But I like your idea of telling at Christmas.

I still haven't told my DS about this year's Med Repo. Although he keeps seeing me on the boards and DU's banner with the Magic on top and keeps saying he wishes we could take a Disney cruise. Not sure how I'm going to keep this quiet much longer.

You will enjoy that Med cruise my kids are looking into the history before going on it there is so much to see!
ARE YOU ON THE ONE AFTER ME???

When you have done the 2008 repo how many days in total from all of your cruises would you have been on the MAGIC?

I would be at 54 days

Well...on Magic..I will have only been on 22 days..Wonder..another 6...WDW...about 16..Disneyland? wow... I can't count that high!

I can not keep up with the posts..I just learned I have to forward my info...has anything been decided on what time of lime green attire I should be looking for?

Has anyone been on the Magic since they added the kids area for 10-14 years olds? My DD will be 11 at the time and I am confused..do they have the Lab and another area?

Thanks for the info.

Desiree

Well, off to work. Happy posting everyone, catch you later.:)

Chuck is a very very good guy and lots of knowldge, he has shown that to me in the past! Chuck always comes over to say hello and mix with the cruisers at dinner, he is such a nice guy. There is only one reason that I do not book with him and her name is Kelsie ! IF she wasnt around it would be chuck!

We had to tell DD16 right away since the original 2008 summer plans were a 2-3 week trip to Europe as her graduation gift (high school). She had to be willing to postpone that (and make it a college graduation gift) so we could afford to book the Aug repo cruise (which is now her high school graduation gift).

Lucky girl, great graduation gifts.

I think it's easier to tell older kids. They have a better concept of time and won't bug you as much.

This will be our first cruise on the Magic, so 15. We cruised on the Wonder last Dec for 3 days, that was our very first cruise ever - so you can imagine how excited we are about this one.

Yes you will love the longer cruise, less cramed in more time to relax, but its like flying in First class, you cannot go back to 3/4 days ones!

Although I have to tell you...(notice, I could have edited the above post, but NO! I need to boost my post count. SO I'm making a new post!! Tee hee hee..)

Everytime I read "Trip of a lifetime", I hear this in my head: :lmao:

"Ed, tell them what they've won!"
"Sure, Bob! We're sending them on the TRIP OF A LIFETIME!!!
You'll arrive in beautiful sunny California, and from there, be whisked away to enjoy 15 sunny days and 15 glorious nights aboard the luxurious Disney Magic!
By day, you'll bask in all of the delights that the tropics have to offer! Prepare to dine in style as you feast on the smorgasbord of scrumptious offerings in the amazing restaurants aboard the Magic!
Then relax in the comfort of the spacious accomodations onboard the ship! Order room service anytime, day or night!
You'll visit exotic lacalles on your journey, including Puerta Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas, Acapulco, Cartegena, Aruba, and Disney's own private island, Castaway Cay!! And don't forget the passage through the Panama Canal!
This is indeed, the TRIP OF A LIFETIME!!!
And it can all be yours...IF the price is right!!" :thumbsup2

:lmao: :lmao: I Love it!

Bob to contestant #1 "Will you bid or are you passing"
Contestant #1 "Gee, it sounds like fun, but I don't know - could be a car in the next showcase"
Bob - "We need an answer"
Contest #1 "Okay, I'll bid - $1,000,000"
Back from Commercial Break

Bob "Okay contestants, whoever is closest in price w/out going over wins - if you are within $100 you can win both showcases. Contestant #1, you bid $1,000,000 - the actual retail price is $1,000,000 - YOU WIN BOTH SHOWCASES!"

We spoke in code for about 18 months before our last cruise. It was funny because we were so used to speaking that way, we were home for weeks, and we'd keep catching ourselves wanting to whisper things about the trip, and we'd have to remind ourselves...."oh yeah, they know now" (afterall, we had already GONE on the cruise!)...."it's okay to talk openly about it".:goodvibes

I got the big surprise on camera (was the morning before the cruise, right before we went to the airport)....I still get chills and tear up when I watch it!

So how did you finally tell them? I'm looking for ideas. For our first WDW trip, I had everything packed. Woke my son up for the flight. He kept asking why I made him get up so early on a Sat. I just told him we had things to do. (Yeah at 5am!). When he finally made it into the living room, there was a Disneyworld for Kids book next to his coat. Took him a while, but then he started jumping around the room so excited. Wish I had it on video!

Cheryl, our TA told us yesterday that most everyone will be receiving a room assignment by this weekend. We used All Seasons in Florida. So that may give you some hope. Others in our party received room #'s yesterday. We're still GTY.

Great info - thanks Pete!

WOW! Days on the Magic...Just 22 after this cruise. But if you count Wonder too, we'll be at 26...Not much compared with some of you!

But I'd be curious to see Barb (inkognito)'s count!!! (she's on our cruise, right? Or is she on the WB?...I dunno. I get confused sometimes...LOL) (But I wouldn't be surprised if it's an entire 365 days for her!)

Thats a lot my WDW onsite would be over 59 days, omre offsite DL/CL 4 onsite, DLP 5 onsite. Plus so many days from hotels offsite at WDW and DL CL.

I remember someone having problems with either a foster child or incomplete adoption paperwork at boarding. I'm thinking the situation was resolved favorably in the end, BUT, I can understand why you would prefer to wait 'til after the cruise.

Yes I can see this easily causing a problem. I'm a single parent and I have to travel with my custody documents. They are very strict about taking a child out of the country especially if you don't have a father and mother present and/or the child has a different last name.

Oh great. I had only 2 pages to go through this morning, but now I have 20. :scared1:

DS's school closed again today, this time for no water. Maybe closed tomorrow as well. If so, he will be off 4 total days out of the last 6.

I'll check back after I get caught up.

I apologize in advance if I reply to a post that has already been replied to. With 20 pages, it's hard to read all and then go back.

Yep but I think CHUCK from all seasons would have the record, he has been given prizes on cruises I have been on inc the 2005 repo! He lives there, all that hard research for his agency!

Thanks for the info. DCL said pay no attetion to the boards when I told her people were starting to receive room numbers. DCL said people just make up their own stories. :lmao: I am happy with a CAT 5 but if DCL would like to give me a CAT 4.:woohoo:
