Seriously, though, Pete...I totally agree with you. I believe that every person we meet comes into our lives at particular times for particular reasons. And I consider myself lucky be surrounded by this great group of people! Can't wait to meet you all!

Awww....what a nice sentiment!

That's great news. Glad everything went well..:cheer2:

Thank you

On our first cruise, the extended family was all booked GTY status for 3 seperate rooms. There was a request for 2 of the rooms to be connecting and the 3rd room adjoining. Even on a full sailing, even given the GTY status, Disney was able to meet those requests.

I hope that those who are concerned about room placement have those requests noted, and are able to keep the faith that things will work out for the best.

They do try, so again try not to worry about GTY, I upgrades on the last repo to a CAT 4 GTY and obtained a great room.

Also I did chat to a relative of a English CM on the repo, I remember that in Topsiders, so they didn’t bump all of them off!

Good afternoon/morning everyone, goodmorning "triple B". Had a late night at work yesterday, and it was very busy.

Andrew, hope your little one has a speedy recovery.

Thank you

All the best to Lisa and DS

Do you think we scared off the people with just 1 or 2 posts? They posted and then went -- what the heck, no way I am associating myself with THAT group?

There are many people who have posted here who are not going. Mostly they are ones who just popped in to say hi and to see what was going on.:)

So, lurkers, jump in.

Yes! Please, jump in! You'll be glad you did....

I mentioned before that our last cruise (which was our first and only) was a surprise to our kids. We didn't tell anyone in our families because we though someone would slip. So, I started chatting with our DIS meets group so that I could talk to SOMEONE about it! We had the best time with our new DIS friends. We have stayed in touch, and are planning trips in the future with them. I'm sure our cruise would have been fun if we had not found the DIS, but it was fun beyond my expectations with our DIS friends

OK, so totally off topic...
But I have a question. Would any of you lie for your boss if it kept him/her out of trouble? I mean, not a HUGE lie...
(I'll just give you a hypothetical...;) :rolleyes1  ) :
Let's say your boss is going through a divorce, he's recently started seeing a woman who lives across state (like a 4-5 hour drive). They take turns on the weekends coming back and forth to see each other. For business, he had to drive yesterday to a city that is between where he lives (we'll call it city A) and where she lives (city B). He was supposed to be back at work today. But he's not because he decided last night that he was going to drive the rest of the distance to city B. He calls his employee  (from girlfriends's house in Kansas City...(OOPS!! mean city B)and says "If anyone calls looking for me, tell them I've been in the office this morning, but I had to go out to run some errands"...
So far, said employee has not had to field any of said phone calls, but would you lie if you were in her shoes? :confused3

OK, FINE! The employee is me!! You dragged it outa me!! :lmao:

THATS SO NICE

When the dates of the cruise we released, I checked Jetblue's site. They had one way direct flights from JFK to Long Beach for about $160.00. I figure if I book as soon as Jetblue releases their August 2008 schedule, I should be able to get tickets for about $100.00.(at least I hope it works that way.:wizard: )

I'm trying to decide if I want to stay here or move to Orlando after my son graduates in 2009. When it's freezing, I think about Orlando. On normal days, I think LI, Yonkers or somewhere in NJ or PA.

Sign up on Jet Blue's website for their emails. You'll get notified when sales open up. The $99 fare is not the regular rate, it's the sale. Generally the rates are not the greatest as soon as the schedule opens up. I haven't flown them cross country, but use them frequently to fly down to Long Beach for my DL fixes. Rarely do I purchase tickets more than 2 months out. And I always get great sale fares.

Good Morning Everyone:surfweb:

I am Reenieny18's sister.

Andrew - I am glad your dd is doing well.

Andy - you didn't get a Verandah?

MaryRose - I wonder how many will bring smoothie makers for our private party on Deck 8. With 15 days do we have one every day????

Is anyone going out to Ca a couple of days prior to the cruise and do some sightseeing. I am wondering if anyone has any ideas of what would be great to visit. I will be traveling with my sister, her DH and DS.

Any info would be great!

Stay warm today!!!

Welcome!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

My kids don't know about this cruise yet. DH & I can only talk about it in code. I agree that it's nice to be able to "talk" about our plans on the DIS.

I would try to avoid having to field the 'inquiry'. If being pushed, however, I would not lie for the Boss. It starts out small, then can get big and out of control!

Awww, dang! I didn't realize I was in the middle of a mini-rush!

I remember that plot from DALLAS!

Honesty rules all the time, But sometimes its best just to keep your mouth closed particularly if its the boss who pays you!

I'd say I haven't seen him, but I haven't looked for him either.

Ok, so I looked at the posting stats that were posted and I have posted 140 times on this thread since 1/31. At the rate I am going, I will have 8633 additional posts by the time we cruise in 555 days.

Apparently I need to get a life.

Crazy isn't it! Happened to me before and I guess it will happen again.:rotfl2:
