Good morning all! I wont be able to catch up on the posting frenzy to 14000 last night for a while.

Most of the discussion leading up to the Pirate was around the Mascot issue (the Wenches admitted they need a Male for good luck and chose Will Turner).

The other discussion was about lurkers and how many people were going to come out of the woodwork right at 14k.

Is anyone going out to Ca a couple of days prior to the cruise and do some sightseeing. I am wondering if anyone has any ideas of what would be great to visit. I will be traveling with my sister, her DH and DS.

We're leaving NY as early as possible on Wednesday August 13.

I'm planning to spend 3 days at DL/CA and one day touring LA.

We were talking about all the Lurkers who were probably on last night not posting but waiting for the 14,000 to roll around. There was also discussion to see if the Swabbies actually had a power play going against the Wenches.

We didn't and we didn't get the 14k either.

I promise I am not a lurker.. Please dont make me swab the deck.. its just that I dont have time to read all the post.. By the time I get the post read.. I am too tired to write..lol

My sister reads me the posts during the day while I am driving so today I told her to post..ANDREW I told her to go back and find your post about LAX and the points of interest that you posted.. She is a BIG DISNEY FAN.. with annual passes. So now her dreams will really be a reality by going to Disney land.. She of course loves me and my kids so she is taking my son ( my daughter too if she wasnt going to be in college) .. hint hint....on this wonderful cruise.. My DH is jsut coming along for the ride...

See everyone was chatty again last night. Time to catch up

Called DCL and switched to Late Seating. So, there are three more spots open up on Main (oops, Captain's) Dining folks!!!! Go get 'em.

We always have done Late dining. I thought about keeping the Main Dining becuase of the time change thing, but then figured out to CA a week early.....Problem solved . DH just LOVES my logical thinking

Ok, so I looked at the posting stats that were posted and I have posted 140 times on this thread since 1/31. At the rate I am going, I will have 8633 additional posts by the time we cruise in 555 days.

DS needed to get an appointment today because of a strange rash on his thighs and he woke up this morning with a sore throat that wont let him swallow anything. There goes my plans for the day...including getting my license renewed. At least there is tomorrow. Catch ya'll later!

Worst case scenario.. if we end up with our cat 6 far from our cat 11 maybe we can talk a DIS'er in a cat 6 to switch with us to be closer to our cat 11!

Our friends that booked online immediately were able to secure a Aft Cat 4 cabin number. They don't like Aft. We don't like forward and we have a GTY -Cat 4. We were thinking this same thing. If we get a Forward cabin, we will just switch cabins. THere are the same amount in both our parties. I wonder...does DCL let you do that. I guess it would depend on witch CM you ask

I guess i never formally "jumped ship." It was just a combo of things (and C bugging me) that got me to re-think our plans.

Basic info: Family of 4 (DD8 and DD11 at cruise time) from Michigan. Cat 6 - gty as of yet!

I cannot believe I am posting on this web site and we are actually going! I have been on the Dis boards for 4 years - even tho only a few posts.

Before I introduce our pirates, I need to ask - why can't I cut and paste the repo banners from the front page?

Anyway - I am Kathleen - 45 (YIKES), DH -is MArk - 44, DS is William - will be 12 - DD is Claire - will be 9!! I am a SAHM...And yes - its cold where we live. I can't catch up on a 900 pages, but I am looking forward to meeting all of you...

Oh - even tho I live in MN now - both DH and I are from LA - we can answer LOTS of ?s...
