Ahhhhh, that's why we were getting those labels for a while. DH thought I was going to pull a fast one. I kept telling him, "It's the same, It's the same (as I hunted for that frying pan to clock him with  ).

Little background on the mayo thing in our house.....First off, DH & I very rarely raise our voices with eachother. Never have since the day we met, other than a sentence or two. And, even then, we usually giggle after.

Well, when we were first married I bought Cain's Mayo. Hey, that's what I grew up with and I'm not a big mayo fan anyway, so my thinking is, they're all the same, right :confused3 . NOT!!! DH informs me I MUSt buy Hellman's 'cause that's what his MOMMMY always used  . So, next time, what do I do - I buy Cain's again. Not on purpose, mind you. It's just something I did absent mindedly. Well, when DH saw it, he takes it, WHIPS it in the trash with super-human force and starts going on this tirade (in some very colorful language) about this whole Hellman's thing. I react by calling him a big baby and it just gets uglier from there. To this day it is, by far, the worst argument we have ever got into. All over Hellman's vs Cain's :rotfl: :rotfl:

THe funny thing is, now the only mayo I will eat is Hellman's.

Never heard of Cain's!

I totally hear you on the Mommy issue. We'll have to discuss that further over a drink one day!

There is one for DMC too ...which I am sure there will be one for AWE by the time we cruise ...

We could do all three ...but would it be better on Deck 9 ? or in the theater ??? Run them all together ...8 hours of movies ?? or do 3 nights ????

What say You ?

pirate:

As much as I LOVE my pirates....an 8 hour marathon is a bit much....3 nights would be better me thinks

Here's a question for the repo vets...Would you say that there is a higher percentage of people that dress up on formal nights on the longer cruises? We were on a 7 night and there were people near us at dinner (on formal night) in shorts. Many others in semi dressy attire--but definitely not formal. Now, I have to say....it didn't bother me in the least, and I really don't care if people dress up or not...I was just curious.

I would say the ladies went to town all dressed up so so nice, the guys most in Tux also suits also pulled out the stops.

Now I would say the few formal nights were dressed up more than other cruises I have been on, maybe more sea days to get dressed up.

Rachel the CD commented on how well all the cruisers looked.

Apart from that there were many casual days and anything went then,

Thanks for the info on the cost.

I was thinking of just bringing my black suit instead, but DW likes when DS and I do the Tux thingy.

Nothing cuter than a little boy in a tux.

Thanks!

DH & I were just discussing this over lunch. Although he could pack a suit or buy a tux, my vote was to rent vs. dragging the extra clothing with us.

DH didn't want to be the only one in a Tux (other than Mickey Mouse). I'll let him know that there will be other penguins onboard.

Glad to hear that I'm not the only one who wants to see DH & DS in tux!

I'm bringing my tux. Considering the great price I paid for it (eBay) and the accessories, it has paid for itself after only three wearings compared to the cost of a rental.

Okay ...since there has been a great response to the POTC interactive here is the script below ...Please read it and let me know what you think ...

The POTC Interactive Script
Homage to the creators, writers, and actors of
The Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl!

etc

Holy Moley. That's great.

My addiction is COFFEE, COFFEE, COFFEE with a little Diet Pepsi or Diet Vernors thrown in for a change up, and of course that dreaded water, water, water and more water for the DIET!!!

I have to agree. My DH purchase a tux, since we go on so many cruises it was cheaper to buy a nice tux then to keep renting. We then purchased a variety of vests and he is all set.
I of course will use any excuse to purchase a new formal dress. :cool1:

It's a great idea! We should have a link to the interactive script (s) on the other website so that everyone can print them out and be prepared . . .

I have no clue on how we could arrange this on the ship ....But since I am going on the Aug Med Repo I could be sure to ask ...Then again somoene on here might already know ...I know someone mentioned the PJ party and if they can do that then I am sure that we could arrange with someone on the ship .... This would be too funny ....If we did this some other night then Pirate Night then I guess we could all dress up again , so your costume would be worn more then once .....LOL

pirate:

So we will be on the Magic right before you are this summer -- we are on the Aug.8-18 Med cruise. Are you spending time in Spain or other parts of Europe before the repo? We are going to spend a few days in Barcelona prior to the cruise and head to Paris afterwards. I know that Andrew from the UK is on the cruise before mine, and I thought I saw that someone else on this thread will be on the repo afterwards . . . I don't know that we will have a pirate's night on the regular Med cruises, but certainly you will as you take the ship back to the Caribbean.

I'm getting to that point now. DW works for one of the major retailers and their online site has started selling them. With her discount, the usual sales they have, and the "special" discounts for charge customers, I figured I'll be able to pick one up with 2 shirts and the Tie/Cumberbun for less than $150.

I paid $90 for the same thing last month for my Western, and that was my 3rd time renting for a cruise.

And based on the 200 new posts they put up since then, we may be looking at 16K before the after work rush tomorrow night.

At this rate, we may do 4 new Pirates before Monday morning. pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:

:faint:
